Collide features Asher & Madison's story, a brother's best friend romance!

You know those special crushes you get as a teen? The ones that keep you awake at night and dreaming during the day?
Yeah, the soul-sucking kind.
But all they ever are is a crush.
Especially since mine is my brother's best friend.
He’s always there. So hard to forget, so hard to resist.
But I see the looks. I feel the heat from his stare and catch the glimpses he thinks no one sees.
Asher Russell, is the boy I want but can never have. The boy who is off limits. The boy I never stop thinking about.
Yet, after an unexpected tragedy crushes our world, it leaves us colliding in ways we never thought before.
How will I stay away when he is the only one who shares my pain?

All books will be standalones, and while the series will be more enjoyable if read in order, the books can be read as complete standalone stories.

This story wrecked me , broke my heart a million times, then gave me hope and make me cry over a book for the second time this year . Collide is very emotional story and is not only a story about first love , it's a story about love in general . The one love that you have for your family members and the close connection between siblings and especially the one between twins. About first love and all the feelings and angst coming with the fact that he's your twin brother's best friend and most of all he's your best friend too . That's the story of Asher , Mason and Madison growing up together, going to school together and entering adult life together . Madison is fighting her crush on Asher and so is he because of Mason and their friendship . Until they can no longer fight their feelings and have to face them . And then it's the story of Asher and Madison after Mason . Collide is also a story about loss and grief and guilt . Because a single act in a single second can change a lot , mostly you in ways you can't understand . And yes it's a story for everyone who ever lost someone . Going through the stages of grief with Asher and Madison wrecked me and make me cry . And this is not a nice place to be - entering the fog of grief and guilt . Collide is answering the most important questions of all - how to continue when a significant part of you is missing and is no longer there . When you live your life to the fullest without fear or guilt but only with love and compassion .

I'm a little surprised who will be the heroes of the next book in Sierra Cove Series and can't wait to read their story... Because it will be an interesting one .

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange of an honest review .

Heartbreaking but hopeful.
We are back with the gang from Sierra Cove with the focus on Asher and Madison for this book.
Asher has been in Madison and her twin brother Mason’s lives since they were young, and while all three have a close bond, he is Mason’s best friend. Over the years, both Asher and Madison have realized that the other means so much more to them, between that and the flirting it’s getting hard to ignore, but Mason’s having none of that, making it clear he does not approve.
Nothing can prepare them for the tragedy that unexpectantly strikes. Ms. Cole handles the subject of grief with great sensitivity and how her characters deal with their grief, the guilt they are left with, and the hole they feel in their lives making it hard to move forward, is so heart wrenchingly emotional. Yes, it made me cry, it’s so incredibly sad but hopeful as well, as they find their way through the grief and back to each other.
Very well written.

Madison has been in love with her brother’s best friend Asher for as long as she can remember but she knows that they can never be more than friends. Denying her feelings for him only gets more difficult with each passing day until tragedy strikes and it will either bring them closer or tear them apart.

Asher is torn between his love for Madison and his loyalty to his best friend. The conflict he is feeling only increases when a tragedy changes both their lives and leaves them both floundering as they try to deal with all the emotions they are feeling both when it comes to their loss and each other.

Madison and Asher take us on an emotional rollercoaster that is at times heartbreaking and at times inspiring but the one thing that was never in doubt was the love they shared despite all the turmoil they were facing.

Reading Asher and Madison’s story requires a box of tissues. It is poignant, heartbreaking and yet also inspiring. I found myself unable to put this book down, urgently needing to discover how their story ended. It resonated with me deeply, and I know I will read it again and again.

Asher, Madison and her twin brother Mason were the best of friends, even going off to college together. For years Asher and Madison had been fighting to control their attraction to each other and to hide it so as not to disrupt their friendship with each other and Mason. Mason had forbidden his sister and his friend to change friendship into anything more, fearing he would lose one or both of them if their new relationship failed. Just when Asher and Madison were at a turning point, when their feelings could no longer be stifled, a tragic accident ripped away a young life, leaving the two survivors, family and friends devastated. This book explores their grief, their survivors guilt and finally their slow healing. It does include a wonderful conclusion.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Oh my heart! This story gave me all the feels. So beautifully written and I couldn't put it down. The characters were so well developed and the storyline kept me on edge. Asher and Madison were everything. The way they were and the tragedy that made them who they are. Wonderfully done!

Wow, this is my 1st book of this author and I was not disappointed.
I connected with all the characters and a whole load of emotions. I felt every single one of them.
There was a lot of angst and I wish the couple got together a lot earlier. I wanted more of them once they were a couple but then the story wouldn't work out otherwise.
This was brothers best friend trope.
Mason and Madison are twins and they met Asher when they were little. They have been best friends since then. Mason is full of life and I loved seeing his relationship with his sister and best friend. Madison and Asher have been in love since teenage years. But they don't act on it because they don't think the other feels the same or too scared to ruin their friendship and hurt Mason in the process.
But then we were heartbroken 💔. Oh I cried, I felt every heart tugging feelings they had.
The ending was beautiful and I liked how we were put through the process of grief.
You have to read this book. It was very good and despite the tragedy, there is a HEA.

What a wonderful book about loss and finding your way back from unbearable grief. It had a smattering of love thrown in. I wish there had been more but I did love what we got. Asher and Madison have loved each other for years but have never admitted it to the other. Life and Madison's brother (Asher's best friend) kept them from truly admitting their feelings.

I can't begin to imagine the grief these two went through. That's not even a subject I want to touch. But I do appreciate the way Ms. Cole went about writing it. I said I wish there had been more romance? Yes, I'm a romance addict and always want more. I wish Madison hadn't run so much. I wish Asher had spoken up more. But in the end I'm glad they found their way back to each other. And that dream at the end. Loved it. It's the push she needed.

Beautiful story. I'm definitely curious about the next book in their series. Sienna and Remi? Hmm.

Oh my heart strings. You better have the tissues handy because this one tears you down hard. Everything about this book was amazing. Lyssa really knows how to bring you to your knees and gives you the strength to get back up again.

My heart. I knew from the blurb this would an emotional read. I thought I was ready and that it would be okay…..I felt everything….having just lost my nana who was my best friend, I was a little worried about starting this book only months after her passing. But after reading, it was a blessing in disguise. I needed this book to start healing.

The main characters, the side characters, the pain, the heartache, the emotional angst, the chemistry, the love, the friendship, everything was perfect.

WARNING - you will need Kleenex to read this book. Mason and Madison are as close as twin siblings can be, most would say that they are best friends. So when Madison has feelings for Mason's best friend Asher she knows she cannot act on them in order to not rock the boat. So when tragedy strikes Asher and Madison are left needing each other to stay strong and get through it all but it also leaves them with a sense of loss and loneliness. Can the two work through the devastation? Or is all hope lost when your heart is broken? Completely and utterly the most emotional read I have read in a very long time. I had to stop reading a few times just to regulate my breathing. Lyssa Cole has created a masterpiece that will make you happy, pull your heart from your chest, stomp on it into little pieces and then slowly one piece at a time put that heart back together again. This book will stay with the reader long after the past page is read.

This easy to read but highly emotional story, is the second book in the Sierra Cove series. Twins, Madison and Mason have been best friends with Asher since they were six years old. Mason has repeatedly told Asher that his sister was off limits. But Madison and Asher have had a mutual attraction since they were teenagers. Although, they have a special and tender friendship, they deny their feelings until a devastating tragedy destroys their world and forces them to admit their love. Their shared pain, anger and sadness draws them together. This is a well written and heart wrenching love story that shows that grieving is a process. I love how Madison and Archer attempt to complete Mason’s bucket list in order to honor him. I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Sierra Cove series. This can be read as a standalone but is better enjoyed reading in order. This book was such an emotional rollercoaster. Madison and Asher have had feelings for each other for years. Though they are off limits as Asher is Madison’s twin brother Masons best friend. When tragedy strikes unexpectedly, Madison and Asher lean in each other more than they ever thought possible. This book will have you feeling every single emotion. Full of love, family, friends, loss, grief, devastation, emotions, twists, tragedy, heartache, support, tears, healing and so much more. Can’t wait to read book 3!

Wow, this story totally wrecked me. Took me through all the emotions. It was a beautiful love story of Madison and Asher but they had to go through some challenges before they found their way there. I loved seeing the friendship of Madison, her brother Mason and their best friend Asher. They have been friend since childhood so watching their relationship banter is great. They help balance each other out from time to time. It was a beautiful story. I’m glad that Mads and Asher got their happily ever after!

Arc review
Madison and Mason are just about as close as brother and sister can get seeing how they are twins , and Asher , the boy next door has always been their favorite partner in crime . This doesn't faulter as they move away to college. And neither does Madison's crush on Asher . This was a quick read that had my emotions all over ! Be ready for a roller coaster ! Slow burn, forbidden/ Brother's best friend trope.

This is a heartbreakingly beautiful book! I knew going in that it was going to wreck me and it did. I had to take a couple breaks to dry my eyes because I couldn't see to keep reading. I was gutted for Madison and Asher. I really felt like I was going though it with them. It was so raw and emotional. Their story was so pure and genuine and I immensely enjoyed it. Two college kids just trying to figure out love and life when they are hit with an impossible curve ball. This is a story not to be missed. The writing just draws you in and you can't help but fall in love with these characters. I don't want to give anything away so I will just say that this was an exceptional book and that I would highly recommend it!

I received this book as an ARC but all opinions are my own.

This book is so heartbreaking, but it is so good. I love that the author took the time to have a build up before tragedy struck because it really made the emotional impact of the moment stronger. I would have liked to see a longer story so I could have seen more of the main characters once they actually were together, but I understand that this series has past characters that show up so I'd probably get to see them more if I continue the series.

Best friends Mason and Asher. Madison is Mason's twin sister. Unrequited love as Madison and Asher, despite loving each other since teenagers haven't acted on it...complicated by close relationship and friendship, impact if it doesn't work out etc.
The story tells the tale of love, tragedy and grief. Emotions. Distress. Guilt. All are sensitively covered and the couple eventually reach a happy ending.

Wowzers is really what sums up this book. Madison and Asher have such a rollercoaster ride its incredible. The have such a closeness but Madison being his best friends sister makes her off limits. You know what they say when you tell your heart no it wants it even more so the attraction just grew leaps and bounds. I'm not going to give away the book but there is a tragic storyline tht makes you want to grab a box of tissues. This has def made Madison and Asher grow closer. This book is filled with so many different emotions & twists you can't put it down. This is the second book in the Sierra Cove series but it can be read as a standalone. It was a well written book that I would recommend. LC never dissapoints!!

This is Asher and Madison's story and it's an emotional rollercoaster. Asher and Madison have liked each other as more than friends for a long time, but because Asher was Madison's brother Mason's best friend, nothing could ever happen. These two spent years fighting their feelings. Mason apparently knew because he forbade them from ever elevating their relationship to anything more, because he didn't want any of the relationships to change. Just when they think they need to explore the idea or move on forever, an accident changes everything for all of them. In the wake of the tragedy, Asher and Madison are left to deal with the fallout and choose how to heal and move on. The feelings and emotions are real, strong and heartbreaking.

Book 2 in the Sierra Cove series and is Asher and Madison’s story. This story was so good. They fought their attraction for each other out of respect for her brother, the uncertainty if the other feels the same and the fear of ruining their friendship if it wouldn’t work out. When tragedy strikes, all bets are off. They lean on each other to help get through the pain of losing someone and it brings them even closer. Make sure you are prepared to ride this amazing roller coaster ride of emotions. You will be pulled in from page one and it will stay with you even after the book is finished. Wonderful read.

This book gutted me. It was a story full of fun times, what ifs, loss & second chances at love & life.

Madison & Mason are twins who are best friends with Asher their whole lives. Madison & Asher have had feelings for each other but never made any type of move.

When Madison finally decides to tell Mason how she feels. He tells her he doesn’t want them together because he doesn’t want to take sides if things don’t work out.

When tragedy strikes Both Asher & Madison feel so guilty. They take some space not realizing that they are not the only ones hurting.

This is the second book of the series. This was an ARC I received.

Collide is the second book in the Sierra Cove series. Each book is a standalone. I did not read the first book and did not have trouble understanding the relationships and events in Collide. This is a story of family and friends and how tragedy affects them. The characters are a tight-knit group and their story is heartbreaking. Yet strength shines through the tragedy to make a heartwarming story. You will connect with the characters immediately. Lyssa Cole captures the stages of grief well. The emotional roller coaster it puts you on is well portrayed. I felt the ending was rushed. I was left with a feeling that too many things were left unresolved.

Wow the story of Asher and Madison pulls so strongly at the heartstrings! While they dance around each other as they grow up and get older, things start to heat up before tragedy strikes. The devastation of that tragic event leaves a trail of despair and longing. The emotions in this book wreak havoc and leave you on the edge of your seat. I loved the way Asher and Madison always wanted each other but tried to deny it. Their relationship was always meant to be, despite Mason's wishes. A great read!
