Patterns are possible and showing the blocks and designs with a different color selection is helpful. The quilting and photographs are very well done. There's a peculiar and quite interesting pieced border shown on quilts pages 22, 23 and 24 but while instructions are provided for the center of the top, instructions for the border are not included. Would have liked to see how the borders were constructed.

It looks like this book has great instructions, but I didn't particularly care for the patterns. I'll be returning it to the library shortly so that someone else can find their perfect quilt. :)
