Fighting for her life. Fighting the power within her. Fighting the past.
Fin has been fighting since the day she discovered the truth about who she is, and the fighting is only beginning. It’s been months since Avery Shaw overtook the government with the help of the Titan. Though she escaped his grasp, it wasn’t before the damage had been done and all Normals were enslaved. Now, Fin and the Resistance must do everything they can to stop Avery and his army of Outliers before any more lives can be ruined and all hope is lost.
Is Fin ready to face her father once more and finally end the fight?
First, she rose. Then, she was unleashed. Now, it is time for her reckoning.
I am so surprised this book doesn't have more reviews! This series was excellent.
The premise was humans with super powers (Cads), of course with this power comes corruption and Fin's biological father hitching a ride on corruption's coat tails. The dude has occasional glimpses of feelings for his daughter, but Avery's more stuck on his own vision. He's willing to start a war to sit on his pile of ruins to claim he won, he had all the power.
So, it comes down to a group of twenty somethings to save the world. These young people are mostly indestructible, BUT Avery is working on a new device to stop their Cads and render them defenseless. In the end, as it always is, Avery's own hubris caught him up.
Nice ending to this series. Read these books and give this author more reviews, you won't regret it.
This author NEVER fails to impress me. I binged this entire series within 2 days!
Fin continues to grow in power while struggling to cope with everything that happened while being held by the Department. Chase is ridiculously patient with her. And the Resistance keeps expanding and plotting. Avery forces Fin to make an impossible choice, which leads to an absolutely EPIC plot twist at the very end.
This was an excellent series, filled with robust characters and a fabulous story. I love everything about Fin and her crew. There is SO MUCH DEPTH to these characters and I’m so sad to leave this world Miller has crafted. Perhaps some world-building is in the future with the new generation. I mean, a girl could hope, right?
The perfect ending to this series! I went through every emotion reading this. It made my heart so full! So sad this series is done because I loved it so much!
