I can’t get enough of the glimpses into Kal/Sumner’s mind and heart. To know her inside wants, feelings, and desires. It is such a special treat and something I cherish. It was really interesting this time to see Sumner interacting with with Kalatas. I rejoiced at Kalatas’s decision to allow Sumner to retain her memories. Kalatas is young and learning and become a far better god to their people. I love The Alpha God series and cannot wait for book 8 to be available.

I have decided to finish this series, mainly because I want to mentally compare the endings between this series and "The Kingdoms of Gyldren Series" - if those are the final books and mainly because this give such a similar vibe.

It doesn't matter how long is Kal's POV, is always a delight to see a bit of her mind at work. And oh man, how I love Charlie and Kal... They fit so well. I'm missing these two so much! So this was exactly what I needed to be able to endure however long it'll take for book 8. Cannot wait!

Ms. Luthor provides us with a short add-on story that continues the overarching tale and whets our whistle for the next book. I have read all the books in succession and this one was great. I look forward to her next in the series.

CHARACTER & STORY IMPRESSIONS:
I always love seeing scenes play out from Kal’s point of view. It’s interesting to see Kalatas test new methods by letting Kal keep her memories. I’m super curious about this omega god though. I wonder if she’ll ever get a voice. Since Kalatas is using Kal as a vessel, maybe this omega god can use Charlie as a vessel in the future? There’s so many possibilities.
I love seeing more of Dorlon since Charlie doesn’t interact with her as much anymore, but I’m curious what else Dorlon will be doing for the rest of the series.
With Lennox being on board with Kal and Charlie’s relationship, I wonder if he’s going to play a part in getting the people to accept the High Commander’s relationship with a human.
