Brumbletide : and the Triad Champion

Rate this book
It's happened. What Maggie feared has come true. Princess Magdalene Prewitt of Firebreather is now Head of Emily Castle and has been made so by King Pippin, no less. Now there is certainly no turning back! Thankfully, Maggie's best friends, Calysta and Atticus, will be by her side, and she also has the aid of King Mortimer McShanihan and the Boggletrice Company. But even with the help of her most trusted royals and Horsemen, she is still completely sick at the thought of ruling such a prestigious establishment at the young age of thirteen.

To Maggie, life couldn't possibly be any more stressful...that is, until she's told about the Em Games.

Of course, she would become Head of Castle just in time for some kind of Olympics that only Emily royals seem to know of. And, of course, the Head of Castle is to lead every event—and leading means doing the most outrageous and dangerous sports Maggie has ever seen! And, of course, Maggie is the clumsiest and most unathletic person in the academy.

Unbelievable.

And through it all, the wicked King Michelle still lingers throughout the castle. But since he's dead, he's found in the most unsuspected places.

The 3rd book in the Brumbletide series and I am in love!! Maggie is growing and coming into her own as the main character, but still has a lot of growing to do. This book is the perfect middle grade fantasy. It has vibes of Harry Potter, Narnia, and Alice in Wonderland. It’s completely imaginative, beautiful, fast-paced, and full of deeper meanings.

I love all of the Biblical elements and have been hoping to read more of Pippin’s Puzzle! It was so intriguing all though I know how that storyline will end. This book is amazing and sweet, and I got teary with Calysta. Thorn still has me confused, but I have faith in the author.
My only critique is the ending. The next book is going to be released in spring (I don’t remember the date). I can’t have it ending like this! “All goes black” NOOOOOO. I can’t wait for the next book, and I love the character Jack!

I'm loving Maggie Prewitt more with each book. Bradley has a vivid imagination and I love the world she created. The excitement continues with each book and it has such depth, adults will definitely get something out of it. I can't wait to continue the series!
