"Why are you following me?" She eyes me suspiciously, like she doesn't trust someone wanting to say hello.
"I want to know your name. Mate." There, I said it, maybe that'll ease her mind.
"What? No, not possible."
What. The. Hell.
With her father dead, her mother gone, and her back having seemingly abandoned her, all Aurelia wanted was to work her way into a better life. Earn her place in the world by her own hand.
Not being one for the spotlight or a seeker of attention, Aurelia keeps to herself. Being invisible has its perks. One of those being that she was left to her own devices, to manage her life as she sees fit. What teenager doesn't want that freedom?
But life doesn't just conform to what we want, what we plan. When life interjects and decides to throw curve balls, what will she do and how will she adapt to this new path? And when more changes occur, new faces and events come out to play, how will everyone react?
I originally saw this book as an ad for one of those pay exorbitant amounts to read and made it my mission to see if I could find it elsewhere. Luckily I found it on Amazon. Now as it did take some serious time to find it one thing I would suggest to the author is that you find a way so it pops up with a book excerpt that will lead you to Amazon if you Google Aurelia Bell.
I have read good books and bad books but the books I do not read are the ones where the author starts out telling you not to read it. As his author spends a deal of time telling the reader not to read her book I am going to Grant her request and return it to the library. Enjoy,
I liked the premise behind this book but not the execution. The characters were very one dimensional and even though this was a story about werewolves, the wolves themselves took very little of the story. Not my favorite book unfortunately.
Aurelia, had a good life growing up until her dad past away and her mom couldn’t handle the loss, so she got addicted to alcohol leaving Aurelia to take care of herself. Not being one for the spotlight Aurelia keeps to herself working her way towards a better life. What happens when a curveball gets thrown her way that she didn’t see coming?
I enjoyed the story but it felt like there was a cliffhanger. Like I’d like to know why Raven Hood decided not to continue going after them Also, I feel like the situation with her mom didn’t really get wrapped up like it’s not like they’re connection got better.
Favourite quotes: “Opinions can be like assholes. Everybody has one, but not everyone wants to see yours. So, I keep mine to myself.”
"I hate this feeling. That I both want to be cared for and want to care for myself."
I like the story. Definitely a different line. From some of the other shifter books I’ve read. My biggest complaint is that terrible grammar. It is important to know the difference between there and their. Boarder and border. It makes me wonder if this was actually dictated. The punctuation was OK, but the rest of it was not. I started to take pictures and circle the words but they were just too many pictures. I’m still going to read the second book because I want to know what happens, but for someone things, like this bothers, this might not be the right book. 🔥🔥🔥/5
I'm very glad that I was able to find the book on Amazon and didn't have to read it from one of those "pay by chapter" sites. This book was well written and captivated me from the beginning. I do feel that the end was a bit rushed and there seemed to be more to the story. Overall this was a pretty great read.
Story is good but it seemed a bit incomplete at the end. I was expecting the threat to get eliminated completely and for Aurelia to rise in a new light. Although I enjoyed the reading.
The story was good, but too many loose ends. The sex was repetitive and the female lead was really annoying. Loved reading from the lead males perspective, was very humorous. Loved Eli. All in all it was okay, wouldn’t read it again.
Loved it. Loved all the details in the book. Dirty ones and all. Had some amazing laughs throughout the book as well. Looking forward to reading book 2.
The story was very good along with the other book My Mate? both very strong story lines.. but audible killed the performance with this virtual voice!!! come on Audible do better!!
