Faking Mr. Right

This book was a cute, entertaining easy read that sometimes felt a little rushed. Meddling relatives are trying to set both Levi and Anna up with people they are not interested in, so it seems like a perfect solution to tell their families that Levi and Anna are dating. It is mentioned several times that neither of them are people persons but the two of them clicked and had great conversations. But the reader is mostly just told this and not shown what they talked about, although we know they are both interested in natural living, conservation and working with animals. . Their pushy friends and families start talking about wedding bells about two minutes after Levi and Anna first went public and there was no time for me to sense any sexual tension or chemistry between them before the first sex scene was over and done with. I am not morally opposed to instalust between consenting adults but in a book, the story just usually works better for me if it starts with some tentative desire before the gratification. And somehow they both fell asleep immediately afterwards and slept through the night naked on the ground which seemed a tad unlikely. Unless they were really really drunk I guess. Anna is in town only temporarily, so they agree to keep it casual but a lot of people seem to think that they are a good match and look at each other in a certain way that says they're falling in love. It doesn't take long for Levi to be all in in the relationship, but Anna is dragging her feet, conflicted because she is looking forward to getting her dream job in Africa.

This author seems to have a thing for unplanned pregnancies - I am not sure if I have read any Crowne books in which there was no surprise baby. Take a wild guess whether Anna gets pregnant. (If you need a hint, this is billed as, "A Mountain Man's Baby Romance"). I enjoyed reading the story but in the end, if I was Levi, I could never be sure if Anna was back because she wanted me or just because the pregnancy forced her hand.

Dates for the Summer

No one in Sunville, Utah would challenge the claim that Levi Callaghan, a tall, strong, handsome, single man, is a family man—all of the Callaghans are family centric, even when single. And, there was no surprise that once he had completed his undergraduate and graduate programs in environmental studies, that he returned to Sunville, Utah. So, upon his return, no one is surprised that the youngest of the Callaghan siblings would work with his brothers, and that he still gathers once a week at his sister, Irene’s, house with all his siblings, their wives, and children, to connect and catch up. If there were a secret about Levi Callaghan, it would be how he has avoided the clutches of all the local mamas seeking a man for their daughters. So, it is no surprise that the very marriageable youngest Callaghan sibling is very careful not to show any eligible young woman—or her mama—anything but politeness, but no attention.

In Sunville, Utah, another well-known family is the Berkshires with their three daughters, all known for their beauty with their sweetness. So, no one is surprised that daughter number 2 is engaged to marry, leaving only Anna, the youngest, with her long, thick wavy blonde hair, big, blue eyes and her lovely and enticing curves still single. Anna, known for her exceptional beauty, is also known for her sharp intellect, graduating early from not only high school, but also college, and most recently, she has received her doctoral degree in veterinary medicine, specializing in exotic animals. But what her family doesn’t know is that her position as a veterinarian for an animal reserve in Texas is probably over—the reserve is closing.

So, she has decided to enjoy herself over the summer, enjoy time with her family playing with her oldest sister’s children, and enjoying all of the events connected to the upcoming August wedding of wedding of her older sister. So, her most immediate concern is how to avoid her family’s attempt to find her a date for all of the events of the summer.

And at the first summer event, she is dodging her mom and sisters who are constantly introducing her to men of all ages and desirability hoping that one will click with the last unmarried daughter. But she is not alone in dodging family set-ups. Levi Callaghan is also dodging the arrangements of his sister Irene who feels that it is her responsibility to find her youngest and the only single brother a date who might become a potential girlfriend who might even become a wife.

So, when the former elementary-high school friends bump into each other while fleeing the machinations of their families’ matchmaking, Levi and Anna reconnect while trying to stay out-of-sight. And while catching up for lost years, they recognize that they could become each other’s “plus-one” for the summer of events that both will be expected to attend, saving each other the awkwardness of endless arranged dates courtesy of their loving family members.

This novel continues the delightful stories of the Callaghan siblings of Sunville, Utah. Each novel is a standalone novel, but once the reader has encountered one Callaghan, the reader will want to meet the whole family.

This book was amazing and the main characters had me cheering for them and waiting till they realized that what was fake turns real and both fighting it all the way while there families are adding more pressure for them to marry. Anna Berkshire is Vet and wants to work with exotic animals and cannot wait to leave Sunville in a couple of weeks and she loves her family but they are driving her crazy and now she is hiding from her family who keep bringing men to meet her hoping that she will settle down, now hidden behind a tree she can relax until her quiet spot is be invaded by none other than the sexy as sin Levi Callaghan who as it turns out is hiding from his sister Irene who is trying to set him up with a date and they start talking about old times, school and why they are hiding out and they come up with a plan to tell everyone they are dating and it’s really in the early stages. Levi Callaghan runs into Anna Berkshire who he has had a crush on through out school and has now returned to Sunville to settle down and have a farm of animals and since he is back he is at the wedding of his best friend and his sister is trying to hook him up so he hides from the female that won’t take the hint when he runs into Anna and that’s when both there worlds turn upside down and leaving the party together and having a hot and wild night that both of them are having trouble staying away from each other but he must remember Anna has big dreams and isn’t staying in town but maybe he can make her want to stay. How does it all turn out does Anna leave him behind for her dreams and can Levi again get over a broken heart. This is a must read book.

Faking Mr. Right is book twenty and part of Mountain Men of Liberty. A mountain surprise pregnancy romance. This is a fully standalone novel with no cheating or cliffhanger. The story is fast paced and engrossing and beautifully written with a great storyline. It draws your attention from the start and keeps you invested in the characters right up until the end. This is Levi Callaghan's love story. A small town romance, friends-to-lovers, fake marriage, surprise pregnancy, surprises, lust, drama, angst, revelations, alliances, mystery, passion, emotions, nagging families, humor, small town shenanigans, steam and love. Levi and Anna knew each other since they were kids in their small town of Sunville, Utah. Their family is always meddling in there life to hook up with someone because they were single.
Anna became so overwhelmed with her family constant meddling and trying to set her up with someone that she went to outside by a tree at a family function. Imagine her surprise when she got some company by the tree with Levi. He was hiding from his family too because of the same problem as Anna. They concocted a plan which would be mutually beneficially to both parties. They decided to fake being together for the summer in order to get their families off their backs, and be each plus one for all the upcoming events that they're supposed to attend for family. The two embark on their fake relationship which subsequently turned into a real one. They never expected to fall for each other. Faking Mr. Right was swoon worthy and sweet with world building characters.

Anna and Levi’s story

Language was the reason for a star deduction because the foul language really isn’t necessary. The author’s writing would have had all the same qualities without the word choices.
There was also at least one grammatical error when a statement was referenced with Texas in it. The author’s usage of an incorrect pronoun choice in the predicate of the sentence was missed by the editor.
If you, as an author, are not sure which pronoun to use (I/me), just remove the other person you are referencing. Never use “I” in the predicate of a sentence! Just because they use it incorrectly on television, it’s still wrong!
I really liked Anna and her character. She was smart, strong, and loved her “crazy” family. I did not like how she felt she had to lie to them even though I certainly understood why.
Levi was also smart, strong, humorous, and loved life in general. He was one of the best written characters this reader has read about in a long while.
The thought of running a wildlife rescue type zoo was refreshing. The names give to the various animals were cute. Since I had never heard of a capybara or serval, I had to do a little research to actually see what these creatures looked liked. The author did mention what they were, but a picture is better for me.
Would I recommend this particular book to read? For humor -yes.

Levi and Anna had not seen each other since high school as both having extremely brilliant minds. They both went off to seek educations in their desired fields. Levi had returned to Sunville, Utah to join the family business and be near his family. Anna was only back for the summer to be with her family and attend her sister's wedding before heading off to be a veterinary for an exotic reserve somewhere, but her family kept trying to set her up with various guys. That was when Levi and Anna hit upon their plan of being a fake couple while at Anna sister's engagement party with both their families after them with prospective dates. This was their answer for the summer to be be left alone and in peace, but they did not count on the explosive chemistry between them. All to soon what was fake turned into something way to real. What were they going to do? Could they figure out a way to have it all? One of the best books I have ever read. It was well written I felt like I was there watching some of the scenes. Great humor, and representation of wildlife not being pets.

The Reality Of Secret Rendezvous -
It was meant to be a fake relationship between Levi and Anna to stop their families meddling in their lives, but this turned into a friends to benefits to relationship, with a time limit. Spending time together brought them closer and their relationship started to change from fake to real. However, they each had career goals that seemed to conflict, with their feelings and reality. Fortunately, fate had other ideas for them and brought them back together with unexpected news.

This was an irresistibly entertaining small-town romance, with great friendships, mind blowing intimate encounters, tear-filled moments and adorable animals, in a storyline that will have you eagerly turning the pages and hoping they get their happily ever after. It was an amazing read, that you will really enjoy.

Levi and Anna’s story. Faking Mr. Right another story of the Mountain Men of Liberty Series. Anna is a couple of years older than Levi so when she comes home from school and runs into Levi and discovers he is even more gorgeous and built like every woman’s dream even more so than he was in school. They are both still single and fighting off their sisters trying to play Cupid; so they come up with this lame idea that gets blown completely off the charts ridiculous. The author takes us along on their journey of spinning the lies and trying to keep from being found out, twists and turns, ups and downs, all seems to go smoothly until it doesn’t. I enjoyed Levi and Anna’s predicaments and solutions, I also felt their emotional turmoil and the tough decisions that they found had to be made. A very good story. I recommend. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.

Anna’s family are always trying to set her up with a man, she is hiding from them when she meets Levi, who finds himself in the same situation. Anna and Levi agree to fake date just to avoid their families interfering. Her fake relationship with Levi is only temporary as she is soon moving away to work as a vet. However the more time they spend together in their fake relationship, the more the real sparks fly between them. Both Levi and Anna have dreams for their futures however they can’t seem to make it work together as their dreams are at the opposite ends of the world from each other. A really great book with lots of laughs and great characters, lots of steamy passion and a beautiful ending, you won’t be disappointed with this book!.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Anna and Levi. They are acquaintance from HS and the lived in the same town growing up. He was a tad bit younger than her. Now they are both back in town, for Anna, the summer only. Levi plans to run a small farm with rescue animals. Anna works at a sanctuary in Austin for exotics, but it might close. Both of their families are trying to set them up, each fighting of all the attempts made. So when they stumble up each other at a engagement party, they agree to be a fake couple to save face. But neither planned on developing feelings as well as hopes. When the unexpected happens, a happy future could solve all of their problems.

Avalanche. Anna and Levi were at a wedding event. Because they were single they were the family targetd to find a permanent +1 for them. They came up with the solution of fake dating to get the family to stop butting in to their lives. Then the family steamrolled them into more. Anna and Levi knew each other from when they were kids. They were both a bit geeky and dorky and didn't really run in each other's circles. They noticed each other though. When they met up again, they appreciated how well they looked. Totally delicious. Absolutely hysterical. Can feelings be deeper now that they are older? Will they tell the family they were faking? How do they explain long term plans vs dating? What do they do about unexpected complication? Fun story. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. Absolutely HOT cover art!

I absolutely enjoyed this book from the beginning till the very end. What started out as trying to keep their families off their back ended up being very complicated. Anna was so tired of her family trying to set her up with “Mr. right“ that she actually took to hiding behind a tree. Little did she know she was going to have company. Levi could not take any more introductions to women. So he ends up hiding right next to Anna. Same problem, one excellent solution. They were fake being together through all the events through the summer and then it’ll be over. She had amazing plans for her future. Levi had plans with his own. And their plans did not include living in the same place. What they had not planned on was falling in love with each other. An amazing story about love, family, and what is truly important in your life. Oh I loved every page of this book.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable although frustrating at times. People that want to be matchmakers should listen when they are told to stop or that it’s not necessary or whatever. It was disrespectful of them to ignore the feelings of Levi and Anna. Levi and Anna had gone to school together so they were familiar with each other. They were both trying to avoid their matchmaking family member’s when they ran into each other. After discussing their mutual problem they came up with the idea to be each other’s plus one/date to the events for the summer. There was a little drama and angst. I liked how the story ended. I recommend reading this book.

Loved it!! Levi and Anna knew each other in school and grew up in the same town of Sunville. Anna has been away working at an animal reserve as a large animal vet. She has dreams and aspirations to work in exotic locations everywhere. Levi has similar dreams to help many animals on a farm and help the environment. These two wonderful people start off their fake engagement as a way to get the heat from their families off their backs with trying to get them married! Secretly I think they were crushing on each other from ages ago! A very sweet heated story from beginning to end. Very well worth reading!.

Anna and Levi knew each other from school, although they were in different classes.
They meet again at Anna's sister engagement party, hiding from matchmaking family. Both are bemoaning the fact that they are having to hide out and the pressure from their families. They have a great idea, they'll pretend to be a couple for the summer, go to events together but no emotions are to be involved as Anna will be leaving to go back to Austen.
Things progress, but not how they anticipated. Everyone accepts them as a couple and they have feelings for each other.
Then Anna gets interviewed for her dream job. Will she take it? What will Levi do?

What they didn't expect were their meddling families trying to set them up with dates in the hope of marrying them off. They come up with the idea of fake dating for the summer but what starts of as a false relationship turns into so much more between them. Will the package that she unexpectedly receives be the change maker and will it lead them to a happily ever after? This story kept me glued to the pages to see how it ends.

Anna and Levi grew up together and when their families kept setting them up with people, they didn't like they decided to take matters into their own hands. They agreed to pretend to be together and after the summer they end things. However, it was long before things got real very quick between them. They share the same interests which draws them closer to each other. Soon real feeling become involved. Will they want to end thing as planned?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Anna (h) returns to town for a wedding, and everyone seems to be trying to fix-her up. Levi (H) is having the same problems. The friends decide to put a temporary end to the matchmaking attempts by pretending to be fake dating, which eventually turns into a far engagement, but the pair have agreed that it's all fake and definitely not to develop feelings for one another. Anna really has to struggle with some hard choices as to what she wants out of life, and if that can include Levi and his menagerie. Plenty of heat and steamy action in this mountain man romance. It was nice to see more of the Callaghan siblings.

An incredible story of how dreams can change when you meet the "one." Anna wanted to take her veterinary degree and work at a sanctuary for exotic animals, but the place she was going to closed. Levi had finished college, come home and started the little farm he always wanted. The two were being harrassed by their family members to find someone and get married. That didn't fit into either of their plans so the conspired to date each other, but no for real. Of course, things do not always work out the way you plan! Great read!.

Levi and Anna met each other hiding behind a plant at an engagement party. They were both hiding from there psuhy family who are trying to set them up. They decide that they will fake a relationship until Anna leaves so that there family will leave them alone. They attend weddings, get togethers and various other events together. They have a lot in common and feeling quickly develop especially for Luke. Anna is hesitant to admit anything because she has a chance at her dream job, but sometimes dreams change. And in the these case they come in pairs!.

This book reunites us with the Callaghan family with Levi reconnecting with Anna who despite being a couple years ahead of him in school was the one girl he had a crush on. So when he finds her hiding behind a tree, he stops to make sure she is ok. When they realize they are both avoiding their matchmaking families they decide to work together by telling them they are dating. Which isn't a problem, is it? If they could avoid catching feelings, maybe. But can they?
Great way to get away from life and move into the world of Sunville, Utah.

I really enjoyed this sweet story about two people who were tired of the family trying to set them up with a love interest. Anna and Levi were both single and had many brothers and sisters between them, who kept trying to set them up with their friends who were single and they were at an engagement party together and bumped into each other and decided to become fake boyfriend and girlfriend. Everything from their snowballed until they found themselves having a fake engagement which eventually lead to a happily ever after but lots of drama and emotional angst in between.

What is a little white lie between friends to keep family off their backs. Well in this case a small tale turned into a Tall hurt. All Anna and Levi wanted was to stop family from setting them up, how hard could it be, good intentions aside family just sometimes doesn't get it. But when Levi and Anna find out that keeping feelings out of the equation isn't really happening can they make it work or are they lying to each other and themselves. I love reading about the youngest Callaghan, and glad Levi found someone so much like himself. I so enjoyed this book.

Faking Their Way to Love . . .

Levi and Anna were both being bombarded by their families constantly trying to set them up with dates they have no interest in. So deciding to pretend a fake relationship between the two of them sounded like a good idea to protect them from unsolicited match-ups.

The problem that arises is that they are getting to know each other much better, and they like what they see. They have more common interests than they realized. Will one of them speak up and open a discussion about their real feelings? Or will they continue to pretend until the summer is over and it’s time for Anna to leave?

Anna and Levi are trying to avoid their families as they keep sending dates their way. To stop them from doing that they decide to tell everyone that they are dating. Anna's job in Austin has fallen through and she decides to apply for a job in Tanzania. In the meantime Levi and Anna find that they are compatible in every way but they struggle with the lies that they are telling their families. Well written with surprises in store for them. This book shows you that sometimes what you think are your dreams can end up being something even better.

Trying to get out of one situation but finding a whole more interesting one by mistake

Faking Mr. Right is the twentieth book in the Mountain Men of Liberty series and is an entertaining book. The story of Anna and Levi are long time friends who are both trying to get out of situations with their families. So they end up telling them that they are dating. But that soon leads to a whole other situation that soon it seems they may not be able to get out of. Or do they really want to get out of it in the end??? It seems that maybe cupid has hit a bullseye for this couple as they soon fall for each other even when they said they wouldn't.
