Picking up another Clancy novel, even by a different author, still makes me smile and think of Clancy's first novel, The Hunt for Red October.
Ryan Junior is so much like his father and the cast of supporting characters matures without getting dull. I hope Jack Junior gets his new fiancee, Lisanne, pregnant, because I don't think I will ever tire of another Ryan in the plot.
Bentley is fabulous, his style a subtle reminder of the tactical processes required to execute any plan.
The plot engages, the Chinese from Germany, to Washington, to Beijing, to the South China Sea and a renegade Chinese capitalist pig hoping to up her stature in the Chinese state.
Lots of action and lots of the good guys winning. How could anyone not love this book.
