An incredibly specific cookbook, perfectly delivers on the concept. Kim-Joy's designs are super cute and her instructions are simple, easy to follow and delicious!
This book combines three of my favourite things… baking, cats, and Kim-Joy’s incredible creativity! Come for the cute cover and title, stay for the inventive recipes and gorgeous photography. I’d 100% recommend this for any cat-loving baker (and I’m sure there are a lot of us out there) 😺
Some of my favourite things about this book are the paw-based difficulty ratings for each recipe 🐾 the super-useful substitutions suggested to make recipes gluten free and/or vegan and the wide variety of recipes - covering cakes, biscuits, bread and so much more.
The book has really clear, detailed instructions including step-by-step guides to create the basic components used across a number of recipes. While some of the ideas are quite complex, Kim-Joy explains how you can make any bake purrfect 🐈
Buy a copy for yourself and a copy for your best baking buddy!
I think Kim-Joy's cookbooks have something else that no other cookbooks that I've read have: a message of positivity. Also, I am biased toward cat-lovers, puns, and cute illustrations. All of that is here. I immediately flagged seven recipes I'd like to try. The Tips that are sprinkled throughout the book are very helpful or whimsical, sometimes both. Nice photography, adorable illustrations, well-edited. I haven't made one thing from this book yet, but soon hope to.
Cute cat-themed recipes. Some easy, some hard but with tips of making it easier. While it does feel initially like a cookbook on how to make edible cat decorations, it actually introduces some new recipes and techniques in a fun way.
As a cat lover and a huge GBBO fan, I think Kim Joy really captured me. Every recipe is so well thought out and innovative. I’ve loved everything I have made so far!
This book is so pawsome! Every recipe is doable and so pawdorable. I never thought I’d want to eat a marshmallow kitten, but with this book anything is pawsible!
I love the Kim-Joy cookbooks because the bakes are all so cute. This one is the cutest of them all (so far!). The instructions are clear to flow and there are tips for making many of the recipes in vegan or gluten free versions. Kim-Joy talks you through all the unusual recipes and new techniques and there are encouraging comments throughout in case things go a bit wrong! What I particularly love about this book is each recipe has a paw difficulty rating. Some are very simple (like the biscuits I made in these pictures) and some look super-complicated. I like that I can look through for a quick effective bake, or for a bigger project for a special occasion. If you like cats, cuteness overload and the idea of a baking challenge this is for you.
I love when cookbooks have difficulty ratings for each of their recipes (Kim-Joy uses paws instead of stars or whatever) and I'm writing this so I can remember that there is a black cat / orange cookie recipe that even I could probably pull off (I don't bake).
