Another Good Read By Cindy Nichols

Cindy's use of her characters really brings them all to life. Julia, a widow with three ambitious children and two adorable grandchildren, was still picking up pieces of her life when she had to reopen a business she had never worked in. Her late husband was a very successful sea shell hunter who went diving for shells all over the globe. Unfortunately, Julia had never been involved in the shelling business. She felt like she was drowning, just learning the shells that she needed to sell. Thankful for some dear friends and the help of her children she was determined to make a go of the shop.
The last book warned us of a possible hurricane headed to their town. Julia's daughter Kelsey was a meteorologist at a television station in Florida and her boyfriend Will was a big wig at the station. He sent K else and a camera person out to cover the storm remotely. That is where things get dicey. You will have to read the book to find out what happened from there. Ms. Nichols brings wonderful characters to life, each with their own story. She weaves a wonderful story of living at the beach during a hurricane & the aftermath. I won't give anything away, you will have to read the story. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series and you will too after reading this one.

A hurricane is coming! There is the preparing, gathering of supplies, shuttering windows and making sure everyone is safe. With flashlights in hand, the family and friends gather animals and begin the shelter in place. Ordinarily Florida Keys is the best of places to live; now with storms approaching businesses and homes become emergency shelters. I loved the storyline of the local turtle hospital and the pelican that was more pet than wild bird. Pearl Beach is a community that sticks together and cleans up the mess after storms; this includes boat inspections and tree clean-up. Thanks to the author for great writing and making me feel the exciting moments in the book.

This is another heartwarming
story in the Pearl Beach series.
The family & town were watching out
for an approaching storm.
Preparing for the worst.
Kelsey, a meteorologist, was
sent to cover the storm in her
hometown, Pearl Beach.
After that day, things in her life didn't
go as she planned.
It was time for Kelsey, to be honest about what she really wanted to do with her life.
I really enjoyed reading it!

We return to Pearl Beach to visit the Shell Shop family. Just when Julia thought things were returning to normal a hurricane is on its way to the Keys. Once again, their lives will change forever. Will it be a good change this time? These books aren't long, but they are rich in characters and plot. I look forward to number 3.

Great Read

Far better editing than the first book of this series (because of which, I did not submit a review). The story was intriguing enough that I did finish it.

These are heart-felt, warm, and comforting stories with a bit of trauma and lifestyle challenges for most of the characters.

Perfect series for clean, Cosy Mystery reading.

Unfortunately this was the same as the first book in this series: the book series should be chapters to make one complete book- I don’t understand why the author broke the chapters into separate books like this. Again, left without any resolution.
The story itself is an easy read, but so frustrating the way it’s been published

Very good story. The characters are endearing. Lost and found love, new love. The family rallies together in many ways. Kelsey rediscovers herself.

They spent a lot of time preparing for the hurricane , I really did not feel close to the characters ,. and the sudden turn around of Kelsey was too abrupt
