stands out among the others

I’ve read multiple books with almost this exact title. Most of them are pretty much the same, but I keep learning little bits and pieces with everyone I read. This one however stands out. The case studies that back each of the concepts make it particularly interesting. Especially the story of Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre.

Didn’t see that one coming and after I was able to relate the concepts, everything made more sense. This one branch is out in so many different areas of life that others don’t and make it genuinely applicable. Five stars for sure, and now I want to look for more books from this author.

Interesting reading

Interesting read for those who want to know more about human behaviour. Maybe to protect themselves from being exploited by being able to identify key signs and traits. Maybe to use subtle advantages to get on in life or p!ace you ahead of your competition. Although there is not huge detailing here I think the short, concise nature of this book make it easier to absorb key skills which you may just need one day.

There were spelling errors in the book and a couple grammar issues as well. That could be down to the Kindle version I read. The book doesn't give any insights that aren't common knowledge and isn't as 'dark' and 'dangerous' as the title and preface suggests. It is a few case studies that aren't relevant and some made up scenarios that are maybe applicable.

I love psychology and anything related to it. Because of my passion on the topic means I’ve read a lot on it. This book was not an eye opener for me but a refresher of some of the things I’ve read (or studied in college) before. What I really did like was the “what you’ve you learned” at the end of each chapter.

Great book

Reading this book sure gave me insight into how people are manipulative. The scams out in the world are just that a scam. This information will be beneficial in spotting naristic people and the games they play.
