Kimberly Brown is a South Carolina born and raised author of contemporary/urban romance. She strives to create stories that readers can visualize in their heads as the pages turn. Writing has been a part of her journey since a young age but really became a focal point during her high school years. With the support of her classmates, she began sharing her love of words with others. In 2019 she took her first step towards becoming a serious writer with self-publishing. August of 2021, she made her BLP debut with “Pretty Caged Bird” and is continuing to grow her catalog. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a pending masters in Mental Health Counseling, Kimberly loves to incorporate mental health into her writings as she feels it is not talked about or address enough within the African American community.

For His Pleasure was 100% filthy and I was absolutely here for all of it! The title speaks for itself so, y’all know what it is. However, I really wish we could’ve gotten a stronger storyline. The author has said this book wasn't meant to be plot heavy but, given the subject matter, I think that was a missed opportunity. I would’ve loved more background on Ivy and Declan than just the surface level we got. With that said, For His Pleasure was still a very good book that will have you clutchin’ your pearls and looking for a moist towelette.

I loved the role change, normally it’s the woman who’s inexperienced & a little insecure, but Miss Author said we’re switching this up. & this was everything I wanted & more!

Ivy teach me your ways sis!!!! 🌶🥵💦 This was a two piece spicy read for sure!! Just 100+ pages of erotic nastiness and I was here for all of it! Now I will say that there was no real storyline and after reading this, I don’t think that was necessarily the authors intention! When you take into consideration that the story covered the timespan of a week or so minus the epilogue then there wasn’t really time to develop a storyline. I do think the story gave enough for you to piece together what Kimberly wanted readers to walk away from.

You have Declan who is a 28 year old virgin and after being in a relationship with Ivy for 6/9 months is finally ready to explore the sexual part of their relationship ( with a push from Ivy of course). The story to me was meant to show moment of them taking their relationship to new heights. Sis said she was creating The Ivy Experience and not one lie was told. Sis turned out Declan in a matter of days! Their bond grew stronger and the ending was the absolute cutest! I loved how neither Ivy nor Declan allowed anyone to disrespect their relationship. What was for them was for them and didn’t need to be explained or justified to outsiders.

What in the filth I just read. My goodness. It was non-stop. Eroticas aren't usually my forte. So whenever I do indulge, I prefer the ones that are attached to a story. This one really wasn't a story. Like there was no plot, really. It was põrn. I skipped a lot of it cause it was just sex. It got old pretty quickly for me. But we need to take a sec to talk about KB's imagination, cause my goodness 🤯 it was wild. I feel like I need to go repent or something. Now I need sappy mushy, blushing, hallmark channel like (for black people) romance to balance the filth out.
KB is still my girl tho!

Well this was for HIS pleasure, but Sis was absolutely getting HERs as well. Sometimes you just need to read a book full of filth and this was that lol. 

The storyline was really minimal, but I did like the fact that the aggressor was in fact the woman 🤭 When I say she turned this man all the way out, that is exactly what sis did.

I this was unexpected. But he had a wonderful gf who was willing to stick it out. I'm glad she didn't give up on him. But he treated her like the queen she was. They did a lot of exploring together and safe s3×ual play. I love that she stopped and let him know everything they were doing would be fun and comfortable and she would never emasculate him or do something without his permission. They had great communication and the spice was perfect. This was a beautiful relationship. I think I found a new author 🤤😉

IF YALL WANT SOME GOOD GOOD🌶 it’s right here this book had me screaming giggling and everything and I wasn’t even in the damn book😭 I love how the plot was mainly spice but you got a backstory about his pass and somewhat her pass. I'm not sure how to start this review off so I'll start with the most important detail. IT IS FILTHY. Please don't walk into this book thinking it's a cute little read about a virgin losing his virginity because this ain't that but it's so much better.

It's not often we get a book with a male virgin learning the ropes through his sexually experienced girlfriend and boooooy did Kimberley Brown deliver. I love that she saw readers asking for a book on this topic and gave the masses what they wanted.

Declan and Ivy were so cute together. I love the way they learned each others bodies while deepening their love connection. The ending was so cute!

Now this was a different erotic read that had me in a hold. A must read…an experience. Once the ‘cherry was pop’ 😆 Declan got the Ivy experience. I loved that they both loved and accepted each other for who they are. Different strokes for different folks. Declan and Ivy complimented each other. This was sexual, sensual, intriguing, nasty 😉. Pure pleasure.

This was a pretty good and sexy book. I like that the main character, Ivy, was vocal about her needs-including her sexual needs. She loved herself some Declan, as he did as well. I was a little worried about how Declan would perform in the bedroom but baby, I was clutching my pearls! Whew, a fast learner, he was! Short and spicy read.

The story started at a normal pace and then skyrocketed down the story with hairpin turns that shook me up. I did not get a chance to take a deep breathe before the couple was at it again. I had high hopes for this as I was really looking forward to reading about a virgin MMC as usually it’s the other way around. So I will say that this book delivered on that. And also the MMC did seem nice and i enjoyed just how observant he’s been prior to popping his 🍒 with her.

Sadly that’s where my positives end with this book. I didn’t like the FmC. She just irritated me.

The dialogue was awful! It felt like I was eavesdropping on a bunch of 17 year old boys talking.

Now I love a good smut read but that basically all there was in here. I’m not against books that are all smut and no plot but I find the ones that are able to pull that off are where it’s like 1 or 2 🌶️ scenes and just going into great detail. Here I lost count how many 🌶️ scenes there were and if felt like they were doing a smut bingo card. Every possible cliche was thrown in.
It takes a lot for me to want to DNF a novella and this is probably the closest one I’ve almost given into.

This was such a sweet, WILD, unexpected story. Kimberly Brown is a new author to me and I love the way she told this story with care. We often read about new experiences from a woman’s perspective, this was the first I’ve read from a man and I enjoyed getting to see the vulnerability that went along with the ride. Kimberly Brown doesn’t miss with her pen! Outside of the AMAZING smut content, I loved the plot of this story. It’s rare that we get a plot point where the male is sexually inexperienced so it was interesting to see that unfold throughout this book. I loved Ivy and Declan’s relationship; how soft and gentle he loved her and how patient she was with him. Their love and connection was very refreshing to read. I loved this book and have absolutely no complaints!
