Meka is on the run from a bad wolf, and she has the scars to prove it. Once settled in a new town and new coven she is hoping the nightmare will stop and she can get her magic under control. Javiero is the alpha and as a dragon he can deal with a bit of heat, but the cold shoulder that Meka has been giving him makes him that much more determined to melt those walls.

Danger lurks around the corner but the possessiveness Meka now feels Javiero, finds herself and her magic a bit more out of control.

Love the story but what did that wolf mean when he said he was offered money to bring them in? More mystery on the way?.

Meka is a strong witch who was almost destroyed by her boyfriend, the wolf shifter. He came to Meka's house very upset and blaming her for something. Her attacked her visiting cousins, even the five year old. He left her with scars. Meka has secretly moved to Arizona to join a coven there. She has picked a house near the dragon's territory in hopes the presence of the dragons would keep her safe. Her coven asked the dragon alpha, Javiero to keep an eye on her. Javiero happily agrees after he meets Meka because his dragon is calling her mate. He is determined to keep her safe and to make her his.

Meka is starting over, new town, new life... she's all too aware why she's left her old life behind, and she's not going to repeat those mistakes.

Javiero is a Dragon Alpha who protects all in his territory, witches included... and he's determined to help Meka, even if he has no idea why she is so skittish around shifters.

This done in one quick read deals with trust issues, particularly the difficulty in trusting our own judgement and using it after a traumatic event has left us second guessing ourselves. I love how Meka's doubts, and inner turmoil are reflected in her life, and how Javiero helps not just calm, but center her.

This was a fun and steamy fated mates romance that had a sinister thread running through it. I loved Meka and Javi together. She took some time to accept that she could be mated to a shifter but she couldn't deny their chemistry ;) Javi started off all suspicious of Meka when she wasn't showing him all kinds of attention, as the ladies usually do ;P Of course, the more time he spent with her, the more he realized what she meant to him. Their romance ends in an HEA, after some angst, drama and danger but that thread I mentioned? It's ongoing and I can't wait for the next book to see what unfolds ;D

Meka has moved to the Tuscon coven after being attacked by her ex. It is after she is initiated into the coven that she meets Javiero, an alpha dragon. Javiero has had women throw themselves at him but his dragon knows that Meka is it. But with Meka still dealing with her past and her fear of shifters Javiero may not get his happy ever after, especially when Meka's ex cones back for her. A great short read that you won't want to put down.

A great story and happy ending. Meka is a witch that barely escaped an attack with a wolf she was dating with her life. She is looking for a fresh start with another coven. She is having trouble with her magic due to anxiety. Javier is at the coven when Meka leaves and she doesn't really notice him. He knows that she is his mate and that she is troubled and is going to help. Will he convince her to be his mate? Must read to find out.

I loved this latest story by McKayla Schutt. I couldn't put it down. I loved the interactions between Javiero and Meko.

Alpha Dragon Javiero Cain has not been actively looking for his mate but when he walks into the local coven, his dragon takes notice. Witch Meka is hoping to be able to find some peace in this new place. She is running from something. She isn't sure about Javiero at first but she can't deny that she finally feels safe. Javiero is the local Dragon Alpha who takes protecting his territory, witches included very seriously. He’s going to help Meka, not matter skittish she is around shifters.

She has huge trust issues, leaving it hard for her to trust her own judgement. I loved that how Javiero helps calm, and center Meka's doubts, and inner turmoil.

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Meka is a witch on the run. Her power stutters and flares as her fear keeps her on edge and unable to get find any peace. Justifiably terrified of shifters her first meeting with the local dragon shifter, Javiero didn't go so well.

The heat between these two is instantaneous and completely compelling.

This is a fantastic, fast paced, steamy romantic novella.

I've read a lot of books written by McKayla Schutt; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the first book in the Tuscon Troubles Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Meka & Javiero; he’s looking for his alpha mate but keeps rejecting all the women available until he sees her.

We have a very short read about a witch that is scared of her ex and a dragon alpha thats not ready for a mate yet. What will happen when Meika comes to town to join the coven and Javiero is asked to protect her. I feel this story was not complete, but hopefully it will finish some of it in the next book.

It was a fun read. I loved the characters - Alpha Javiero and some of his friends and witch Meka.
There are reasons behind Meka’s move to a new place… Javi is more than happy to support in any way, now when he has found his mate.
I would love to read more about the other characters in the book.

This is a well written fated mate romance between Alpha Dragon Javiero and powerful witch, Meka. They have troubles to overcome along the way to their HEA. Their chemistry is explosive and the scenes sizzle. It moves quickly and smoothly with descriptive scenes and is an enjoyable read.

Running from an abusive relationship leaves Meko untrusting and secretive with her new community. Javiero has an uphill battle to convince Meko they are meant to be. The chemistry here is scorching hot. I love the rooftop scene and Meko getting justice for her ex's actions.

1st it's 2 damn short!! There should be more pgs cause it leaves a lot out and leaves me with a lot of unanswered questions!! And if it's under 100 pgs it should b .99¢ NOT 2.99!! I don't get it cause there's a lot missing like what r scientists, what happened 2 her cousins. Etc. I'm disappointed!!

Javerio is sick of women chasing him wanting to be his mate, until he meets Meka. He knows she is his mate as soon as he sees her. Meka is running from her ex. boyfriend and doesn’t want to be near any other shifters.
This is a good book about earning trust and protecting those you love.

Meka is just starting her new life in a new town after an attack on her life. I liked that Meka was hesitant toward Javerio and I loved Javerio's persistence. Once together their chemistry is sizzling. This is a well written introduction to this rejected mates series.
