A timid bluestocking… Stuck in her little cottage with her three sisters and an aging father her entire life, Miss Beatrice Fowley has never had the chance to experience the real world. After being jilted by a charming viscount, she now has to marry a seventy-year-old lord intent on begetting an heir and a spare.
Having read plenty of books—most of which are romance—Beatrice has a list of things she wants to experience before the church bells toll her doom. Unfortunately, real life is far more dangerous, and Beatrice quickly realizes that she needs a guide and a guard.
Meets her surly knight… Adam Lewis has lived in the shadow of his brothers his entire life. When he encounters his brother’s former fiancée in distress, once again, honor dictates he step in to lend her aid and clean up after his brother’s mistake. Only the lady will not accept just any kind of assistance! The stubborn and naïve young bluestocking insists she wishes to experience “real life” before she allows him to escort her home to be married.
And the wager is struck. Coerced into helping Miss Fowley with her scandalous list, Adam plots to outsmart the bluestocking to get her out of his life quicker. But as passion and desire flair between the reluctant partners, they realize one item has been left off the list—what to do with their wild, rebellious hearts when it comes to the end of the road…? A fun farewell to the beloved series.
Sadie Bosque is a steamy historical romance author. Surrounded by the enchantment of the historical setting, her love stories communicate to the modern reader through the experiences of her characters. The heroes and heroines of Sadie’s stories are flawed, imperfect creatures with big hearts. Sadie believes that a happily ever after has to be hard-earned. The trials and tribulations her characters go through make them stronger and make the HEA so much sweeter.
This is my first Sadie Bosque book and I loved everything about it! I adore her writing, characters, storytelling and the steam she brings to the love scenes.
I have had her books on my tbr( to be read) pile for so long and follow her on socials and her newsletter so I jumped at the chance to read an arc of this book and now I am hooked. Having not read any in the series, I did not feel lost so this book can definitely be read as a standalone.
The heroine, Beatrice Fowley, is a spectacle wearing bluestocking who has a list of things that she wants to experience before she has to marry an aging Lord. She encounters the Hero, Adam Lewis at a scandalous masquerade and he recognises her as his brother's previous betrothed. He feels a sense of honour as a gentleman to protect her reputation. He agrees to accompany her as she crosses the things off her list.
Beatrice has the appearance of a mild mannered bluestocking, but she is a romantic at heart who possesses a fearless, stubborn and courageous personality. She is determined to stop at nothing to complete all the tasks on her list before she has to marry.
I love Adam, he is my new book boyfriend! He is a stern at times, protective, honourable, kind and gentle. He doesn't know his purpose in life being a brother of a Viscount and is envious of Beatrice's strength of character to take risks in life.
If you like descriptive, steamy and gentle love scenes, this book is for you. Adam is a tease, a dirty talker but also extremely sweet in the bedroom. He is not a typical rake, but knows what he is doing and how to please a woman. He is so swoonworthy!
I loved everything about this book and was hooked from the first page. I now want to devour all of the other books in this series!
I received an arc for free by the author and this opinion is my own and submitted voluntarily.
Saved the best for last! Adam & Beatrice were everything I hoped they’d be. After the tumultuous engagement with Gage, the shame and hit to her self-esteem, Bea deserved someone who would see her for everything she is. The slow burn of this friends to lovers tale is delightfully light on angst, but it’s still there never fear. The path to true love never did run smooth. Their banter, was fabulous… often coming across adorably as grade school rivals in the best of ways. The back and forth making you giggle in its absurdity. I absolutely loved that we got to see a true coming-of story. It wasn’t Insta-love, it was founded in truth and experience. It was built with each brush of a hand, each glance and each tender moment. Though sweet, they did not lack passion. Far from it, the heat, including one of the most powerful ‘Mine!’ moments I’ve ever read, was palpable. Bosque writes with an intense flair that draws you in and holds you captive to the very end. A true ‘could not put it down’ story with a picture perfect ending. And if that is not good enough, she gifts us with not just an epilogue, but an additional epilogue for each match of this series answering all the burning ‘where are they now’ questions. A beautiful conclusion to a beautiful series!
A Wager with the Gentleman. I just love Adam and Beatrice. These two definitely made the book entertaining. It was their constant battle to out do the other with their list of things that they regret not doing. Who would have thought that these two strong willed people fall under cupids spell. Truthfully I think that Beatrice is one that Adam will not be able to pin down. I give this book two snaps and a twist. I received a copy of this book for a voluntary honest review
Thanks to Sadie Bosque for an ARC of this book. Although I found it slightly confusing at first, I loved it. The reason I found it confusing is because Beatrice was jilted by Gage, who married an actress, and now she’s staying in a townhome paid for by Gage, and Adam, the love interest, is Gage’s brother. Once I understood that, the story made sense. Perhaps if I’d read other books in the series, this wouldn’t have been an issue.
Beatrice, after being jilted, arranged a betrothal to a man almost three times her age because her family needs money, and because it will save her and her sisters from the scandal associated with being jilted. When Adam discovers what Beatrice plans to do while in London (she has a list of things she wants to enjoy before being married), he initially feels a sense of responsibility for Beatrice because of what Gage did to her. Although he thinks it’s silly, he believes he can protect her by offering to go through the list with her. And so begins their relationship. Naturally, they fall in love—though neither wants to admit it to the other due to their own insecurities. Beatrice is still planning to marry this horrible old man (he really is terrible, as we discover when he appears briefly in the book).
The joy of the book is in reading about Beatrice and Adam’s relationship and how it unfolds from one of obligation to one of genuine friendship and desire. They find themselves in some absolutely unusual and sometimes dangerous situations, but Beatrice proves her bravery, and Adam admires this about her. Beatrice’s aunt is another fun character. She has a pretty good idea of what is going on between Beatrice and Adam, and encourages it, even if it could create a scandal if anyone found out what they were doing. She believes they belong together, and eventually, Adam will propose.
Adam doesn’t want to want Beatrice and tries to wipe her from his mind by having a fistfight with his brother. When she asks how he was injured, he says, “We were sparring. Clears one’s head.” Her response is priceless. “Why would you ever want to clear your head? I prefer my head filled with thoughts and ideas.” When his family points out that he loves Beatrice, he denies it and tries to explain why he enjoys spending time with her. As he goes through the list, he realizes that he loves her, saying, “Damn. I’m in love with her.” With that, he realizes what he has to do, and hopes he’s not too late. It’s a tense ending, but rest assured, the HEA is coming.
This was a wonderful book. It can be read on its own, but I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning because it's really good! This story ties to Viscount Gage, the hero in the previous story. He had been planning a marriage of convenience with Beatrice but ended up jilting her. Being an honorable gentleman, Gage's brother Adam felt obligated to ensure Beatrice's well-being. When Adam encounters Beatrice, he learns that she is on a mission. In order to save her family from financial ruin, she had decided to sacrifice herself in marriage. This time, she is betrothed to a completely objectionable old man. Before she gives up her freedom, she wants to fulfill ten items on a list. Seeing that many items on the list are far too dangerous for a lady to accomplish on her own, Adam offers his help. Inevitably, during the course of their adventures, the two of them fall in love. However, will they manage to confess their feelings before it is too late?
This book has a bit of an enemies to lovers theme. Beatrice is an adorably annoying bluestocking who is very irritating yet endearing to Adam. The verbal sparring is lots of fun. There is lots of steam as well. Several characters from previous novels appear.
This book is a strong ending for the series. On the other hand, it doesn't really feel like an ending. The author has definitely placed some tidbits here and there in regard to future storylines she is planning. As an added bonus, the end of this book includes an extra epilogue for every couple that was featured in this series. How sweet is that? Thanks to the author for providing me with a free ARC. This is my honest opinion.
Beatrice Fowley, a shy and bookish lady who has been jilted by a viscount and is now forced to marry a decrepit old lord. But underneath her shy, bookish ways, she is outspoken and strong-willed; so, before she resigns herself to her fate, she decides to make a list of ten things she wants to experience in life, such as dancing at a ball, riding a horse, and kissing a handsome man. She enlists the help of Adam Lewis, the brother of her former fiancé, who feels honor-bound to protect her from harm. Adam is a gruff and cynical gentleman who thinks Beatrice is naive and foolish, but he agrees to assist her with her list, hoping to get rid of her quickly. However, as they embark on their adventurous and scandalous journey, they discover that they have more in common than they thought, and that they might be falling in love. I loved the compatibility between this couple (even though they fought the possibility) - they were so full of fun, hilarious banter that just pulled them slowly together. They completely understood each other's struggles and made it their mission to help each other realize a wonderful future. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.
Holy goodness!! Sadie Bosque knows how to save a wonderful, all encapsulating story with a bit of angst, plenty of banter, heaping helping of spice (in a carriage no less) and lots of feels for the last!! Alex and Beatrice, who knew, after Beatrice’s dashed betrothal with Richard (Viscount Gage and Alex’s older brother) when he left her for another equally wonderful woman Josephine, that Beatrice would have such spirit and drive to want to make a wager with Alex to cross items (10 in all) off her list before her marriage to a much older, entitled, odious man (a lord in his own right) , who attacks young, naïve woman! He is an ugly beast! Every character from this incredible series makes an appearance whether in the epilogues (because each couple gets an epilogue at the end of the book) or during the telling of the story and it so great to see them woven in and around our main couple. I won’t go any further into this story because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but suffice to say that this book, this series does NOT disappoint!! Heat? 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Heart?♥️♥️♥️♥️🫶🏼 Banter? 🤭🤭🤭🤭 Angst? 🫣🫣🫣 Wonderfully drawn characters who drive the story and series to a very fulfilling end? 📚📚📚📚📚📚🥰 Brava, Sadie!! Brava!!
This is a slow burn, friends to lovers story about Beatrice and Adam. He saves her at a Masquerade ball, and decides to help her with three items on her list of risqué adventures, before she goes north to marry a man three times older than herself. He tells her that he will decide which three items before depositing her back at the townhouse she is using for the month. As they start to become friends, they have a lot of fun and begin to fall for one another. Neither wants to admit it though. Adam does propose, but makes a hash of it, and Beatrice refuses him. They agree to do the one last adventure on her list, before going their separate ways. Unfortunately, there is an argument, and Beatrice decides to go north with her family a few days early. By the time Adam finds out, he has realised that he is in love with her. He has to stop her from marrying the old man and races off after her. This had a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts throughout, but it was a great story and fabulous ending to the series. Plus, the author gives us two epilogues for this story, along with second ones for the previous five novels. I was given an ARC for this book and this is my honest opinion. Well done Sadie.
This book goes in my top ten! What a fun and easy read this book was. The main characters have great chemistry. I loved the way the Hero, Adam and the h,Beatrice interacted with each other. The snappy, sometimes condescending dialog that flew between them was priceless. A great plot and the secondary female characters made this book all the way live! The steam level between these two is so hot, I was actually feeling pretty heated myself while reading.
I had a smile on my face the whole way through this book. In some instances I found myself laughing out loud! I loved this book and I recommend it to everyone. Sadie has written another wonderful story. Well done.

I received a advance review copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Well written, full of action, love suspense, romance, intrigue and a special list of things to do before marrying. Has lots of good and bad returning characters to make this book a fabulous read. Adam finds Beatrice at the Masquerade party at the club and helps her get away from some aggressive men who try to handle her. From there the two of them work on a list that she wants to do before marrying a really old man, who paid off her father's debts. Together they do just about all the things she wants to do. Beatrice does all this after making a wager with Adam that he loses which gets everything going. What a lot of fun they have together and does the heat between them increase. Beatrice does add two more items to the list- fall in love and trick Adam into marrying her. Well things fall apart for them until his family tells him that she has left . He realizes that she is all he needs and loves. What excitement. Enjoyed this book. Would recommend to all. I am an ARC and leave this unbiased, honest review.
This is a wonderful read. I have never read this author before and this book has me craving for more. I loved the interaction between Adam and Bea and their banter. There is a lot of action, steam and some funny moments. There are characters from previous books in this series, but this can be read as a standalone.
I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful book of charming characters and an entertaining storyline! In one month, Beatrice, would be shackled to an old man, and would never be able to experience the ten things on her list that she dreamed of doing. She determines that she will do as many as she can, and finds a partner in crime with Adam, the brother of the man that caused her ruin when he threw her over for another. Their delightful antics and spunky dialogue, as the sparks fly between them, make for a most enjoyable read!
At first I thought Adam was a bit of a jerk, but he grew on me. Beatrice was sweet, but desperate to experience life before marrying a man thrice her age. So she was tempted to consider trapping Adam into marrying her. Their relationship was hot and steamy!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It hit all the marks I was hoping for. Steam. Character growth and at least a little plot. The characters made me laugh and feel feelings. That’s all I got 🤷🏻♀️
Loved Adam and Beatrice's story. Wonderfully written characters and storyline. I also really appreciated the last look at the other couple after Adam and Beatrice's story (kindle edition).
My first book by Sadie Bosque and certainly will not be my last! I loved this book from start to finish! Adam is a TDF hero and Bea was spunky and fun! I loved that the story concentrated on them and their relationship and not some other crap that wasn’t necessary to the story. While there was only one complete intercourse scene there were quite a few other extremely smoking hot, make me blush, encounters between Adam and Beatrice. Adam is a gentleman but a dirty talker and a tease. He is delish! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵
She has a bucket list and he is assisting her to achieve them. In the meantime, adventures and misadventures ensues. She is full of grit, determination and he is protective and supportive. Together they fulfill each other’s dreams. Never ending escapades and steamy scenes plus wonderful extra epilogues for each novel in the series.
I received an ARC of this book and leaving my review voluntarily.
Thanks to the author for an ARC copy of this novel and this is my freely given opinion.
Obviously I missed a book somewhere here - the book just prior to this one gives the back story of the heroine, the loss of her fiance (the older brother of the MMC in this novel) and how she came to be living in London, at least for the time being.
But on saying that, I got enough of the back story reading this book to get the gist and did not feel that I was missing too much (Guess I will find out later).
Beatrice Fowley is a shy, country mouse, book loving innocent who was thrown over by her fiance. She bargained a period of freedom for herself from him, in London, where she could explore some freedom before she settles for life with her alternative future husband, a wealthy significantly older man who has agreed to take care of her family financially. She is sacrificing herself for her family's needs, and knowing this, is determined to make some memories for herself while she can. She has a little bucket list of things she wants to experience before she settles for her unwanted marriage.
Adam Lewis is the younger brother of her former fiance, and is sick of taking on the role of the family drudge and go-to man who takes care of things for others. The problem is that he has done it so long, that he has no idea of what he wants or dreams for, for his own life and future.
Adam runs into Beatrice one night when she decides to knock going to a masquerade off her list of experiences - she was being accosted by some rather unsavoury sorts at a notorious hell, when Adam recognizes her and steps in to help her.
Whether it is because he is used to stepping in and dealing with family issues, and sees Beatrice as a part of his family and responsibility by association, or perhaps because of his deeply hidden and suppressed attraction to her, Adam decides to make a wager with Beatrice, when he discovers her plan to make memorable experiences during her stay in London. He takes (part of) her list and helps to fulfill some of them. This will be one of the last things he does for his family, before he embarks on his own future living for himself.
Over the course of their time together though, Adam and Beatrice grow closer, and he develops an appreciation for her courage and intelligence, and she starts to wish for a different future, with Adam. When he is about to offer her an alternative to her future plans though, he discovers something about her plans that lead to feelings of being betrayed and deceived.
Beatrice was a very sweet, innocent character and at times seemed a bit too naive and romantic. I liked the story, but did not feel the connection between her and Adam to be as strong and passionate as some of the other couples in previous stories. Also, why, if she had bargained for her ex to give her a townhouse and finance her stay in London, did she not bargain with him to arrange for a Season for her or at least set her up to meet other eligible bachelors so that she did not have to sacrifice herself to the elderly man she did find for herself? That would have seemed a better option to me.
Sadie out did herself with this story. We have a very naïve bluestocking from the country, one Miss Beatrice Flowley and a third son, Adam Lewis, who has put his life on hold for years to help his sisters and brothers. Now that all of them are married and settled he has no idea what to do with himself. Beatrice was engaged to his brother Gage when he fell in love with another. She let him break the engagement with an agreement he would provide a townhouse for her for one month to see and enjoy London. She is to be married off to a vile, nasty old man three times her age to save her family. She just wants to experience life before her life is over and her dreams die. She has a list of items she wants to do. It is not anything that most young Ladies would think of. Oh my, what a list. Adam sees her at the most scandalous masquerade ball of the season!! Once again, he is stepping in to correct one of his brother's messes. After getting to her home, he finds out she has a list of things to do before getting married. Knowing he is going to regret it he offers to help her thinking he will outwit her, and she will give the list up. Oh, he is so wrong underestimating her! She may be naïve, but she is also determined, stubborn and adventurous. With her very unconventional Aunt telling her to grab her happiness anyway she can she is set to see and enjoy as much of her list as she can before getting married. Adam is in for the ride of his life. He will learn more about happiness, dreams and love from his county lady than he ever dreamed of. Lots of action, twists and turns, secrets, misunderstanding, passion and trust for these two. I really wish I had read the books in order so I could fully understand all Adam did for his family. I plan to go back and read them now. Even without reading the other books, this one is great all on its own and should not be missed. I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.
Oh my! I was captivated by Beatrice and Adam from the start! I’ve loved every book in this series, but Beatrice and Adam may be the best. After Beatrice was jilted by Lord Gage, she decided to marry a lord three times her age to secure her family’s future. He also happens to be the vilest man in the community. Before marriage, Bea wants to experience a bit of freedom, and creates a list of her goals. When Adam sees her attempting her first adventure, he steps in to make sure she doesn’t get hurt. While agreeing to help Bea reach at least three of her goals, Adam’s ultimate plan is to make achieving those goals so painful she will end the whole pursuit. Oh, not so fast young man! You are up against a witty, stubborn, adventurous bluestocking whose aunt told her to grab her happiness anyway she can! And she does!
The banter between these two was so fun and playful, easily slipping into sensual, tender moments. The slow burn between these two is just amazing. They understand each other, seeing their faults as well as their potential. From playing in the Serpentine to pretending to faint to escape an auction. Their hijinks are laugh-out-loud funny!
The author included many wonderful characters from previous stories. It was heartwarming to see all the Lewis siblings and family friends together again. The strong bonds the author created throughout the series were exactly what you would hope for in a romance. Enduring, supportive, passionate. This story is well-written, full of details that submerge you in the characters’ lives. There are hints regarding additional character’s stories, and I can’t wait for those to be written. The couple’s epilogues are the perfect ending to a superb story.
Thank you to Sadie Bosque and BookFunnel for an Advanced Reader Copy. I voluntarily read the book and all the thoughts and opinions are my own.
When Adam Lewis sees Beatrice at a scandalous masquerade in a gambling club in London he begrudgingly has to rescue her. She was the fiance of his reckless older brother Gage and due to Gage falling in love with an actress whom he married, Beatrice ended up engaged to a mean older man. But her marriage is a month off and Beatrice is in London as per an agreeement with Gage. The story is a little confusing here if you haven't read the other books in this series. I have read some and gave Bosque a little leeway because her characters are clear and engaging so I know I am in good author hands. Beatrice is a bluestocking with dreams of living the adventures she has read about before she is married. She has a list of everything she wants to do while in London and the masquerade at a gambling hell is the first one, she has tried. Adam convinces her to leave the ball after she makes him promise to give her a dance. She is thrilled with her daring. He is appalled at her naivete. When she mentions her list, he demands to see it and makes a bet with her to show her three adventures on her list hoping she will give up because they are too intimidating. If she doesn't give up, he promises help her finish the list. Adam had planned to find his own adventures now that his brother was married, and he did not need to babysit his sisters anymore, but Beatrice has to be dealt with before she gets in a scandal she cannot escape. Beatrice finds excitement and pleasure in everything they do together from a fight in a dive bar to dancing every dance at a ball, even with bad dancers. Adam finds a renewed interest in what he thought was his boring life with Beatrice beside him. Charming and predictable but a pleasure to read just to find out how the last wish on her list plays out.
Beatrice and Adam is a story that I didn’t know I needed to read! Adam is the son that at 33 has no plans or purpose to life except to help Gage run the estate and any odd task! Beatrice in order to secure a future for her younger sisters agreed to marry and old reprobate after Gage fell in love and she of course released him from their engagement! Beatrice is with her aunt in one of Gages homes for a month of freedom! She is to return to Northumberland to wed a man 3 times her age! She has a list of things to accomplish and she can cross Masquerade off one item! When Adam sees her there maskless he resolves to assist her before she gets herself hurt or worse! He envisions discouraging her so badly she will give up totally on the list and return home! A wager is struck and there ensues chaos and hilarious jinks! Beatrice begins almost all of her misadventures with she read it in a book once… Adam sees so much more than her brave front. She sees Adam really sees he has so much more potential than he sees in himself! Between brawling in a pub, an auction with some questionable people and a runaway getaway we’ll never a dull moment! Can these two lists both equal love? Can they put the lists and misunderstandings aside long enough to find a HEA?! Well first there’s a funeral.. you have to read how this inspires tears and an outcome you never saw coming! This story is filed with characters from the previous books so bring a hanky to laugh and cry as these two stumble their way into a steamy HEA! Bravo I received an ARC copy for my honest opinion!
When Beatrice Fowley agreed to end her betrothal to Gage, she also agreed to stay in London for a month to ease some of the scandal. She is now bound to wed a man three times her age to help relieve her family’s financial problems. Gage’s brother Adam catches her at a masquerade in a well-known gaming hell. Her explanation is that she has a list of things she wishes to experience before she must marry her undesired betrothed. She and Adam are now on a quest to scratch off the items on her list. Their adventure is a romp, sometimes just fun, and sometimes naughty. They do not plan to fall in love. Plans don’t always work out. The story is fun and exciting. Bea is a lovely person. She is bespectacled, bookish, and shy. She is determined to complete her list and collect good memories. Adam is a man who seems to have no purpose, even though he has worked for the Crown, helped Gage with the estates, and now comes to the assistance of a charming and annoying bluestocking. How does everything work out? An adventurous sometimes unpredictable plot and remarkable characters. Happy ending? Yes. Does Adam find a purpose for his life? Yes. Great story! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I read all six books in this series and didn’t write a review until now, at the very end. I loved each book! The primary characters in each book are dynamic and lovable. The men all are appealing and frustrating at times. The women soon to be the wives of these men are interesting and quite challenging. I loved each couple and their love story! The author impresses me with her ability to tell a great story with each book and make it so real. She captures human nature and is great in writing the love scenes. I love her happily ever afters and the way each couple discovers their desire, need and ultimate love for their partner. One thing I love about all the men-they are basically forthright and express themselves in an honest way. The women are actually more manipulative and hold back and the men are transparent for the most part. It may sometimes take them a little time to realize “it’s love” they are feeling, but they are open and speak their minds. I really enjoyed all of these books and look forward to reading more of Sadie Bosque’s books. pamarella PRCS
A worthy conclusion for a delightful series! Gage’s jilted betrothed has foolishly decided to marry an old man to save her family from poverty, but wants to experience “life” before marrying. Who better than gorgeous Adam to help her? As always, Bosque’s characters are far from being perfect and Adam is adorable, but also unsure of himself and of his place in the world and infuriatingly irresolute, blowing hot and cold with Bea throughout the entire book. And Beatrice is his worthy match, because she really doesn’t know what she wants… Marrying for love? Doing her duty? Entrapping Adam? Two very complex, very human characters come together after lots of shenanigans and intriguing twists of the story. As always I liked the writing and the world building. And I enjoyed the epilogues with all the couples of the previous books very, very much! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I just loved this feisty tale of a dutiful bluestocking, reaching for one month of fun before being married off to a lecherous old man to save her family. Bea decides to write a list of not so normal things to do in London. Getting caught by Adam on the very first one sends them down a trail of adventure, fun, heartbreak and love. I truly adored how Bea was written as a lady bent of having the time of her life, if only for a month. Adam, always the dutiful son, decides to do something for himself and ends up caught up in Bea’s adventures. It was hard reading the scene with her soon to be husband. Wanted to slap him silly! It was hilarious some of the antics as well. I thought the author did a great job of writing well developed characters, twists I didn’t see coming, especially at the end and, of course, the HEA
I received this ARC copy for free and these are my own opinions
"Having read plenty of books—most of which are romance—Beatrice has a list of things she wants to experience before the church bells toll her doom. Adam Lewis has lived in the shadow of his brothers his entire life. Only the lady will not accept just any kind of assistance! The stubborn and naïve young bluestocking insists she wishes to experience “real life” before she allows him to escort her home to be married." This story leads to love! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This in no way affects my opinion of this book.
A Bluestocking with a list of items she wants to complete before she has to marry an old lecherous man.
A Gentleman who is honorable and decides it is up to him to protect her.
I actually haven't read the other books in the series but quickly found that I didn't need too since the book can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed the book so much I plan on reading the rest of the series!
Bea and Adam make a wager for Adam to help her finish her list before she has to marry. The fun adventure begins with plenty of witty banter between them and includes some very steamy moments. I truly loved how they became friends while completing the list and fell in love with each other. The story was very entertaining, fun and both of them got their happily ever after!
