A good insight into how someone comes out of a coma.
A young girl Louisa of 13, has to cope with losing both parents and her home. As well as her emotions going haywire. She finds it hard to understand and retain information. She has to learn to walk, talk and eat etc again. Maggie is such an outstanding mentor for Louisa after her accident and parents passing.

I loved this book. Louisa has appeared in all of the other books in this collection so it is great that we have finally got her story. Obviously we know how she came to be with Maggie thanks to the other books in the collection however i never susspected just how massive her challenges actually were not just losing her parents but also her own recovery. What a brave young woman she is and now i know her story i have massive respect for how she faught back to have a life. This story could have been so different

heart wrenching but great read
Thanks Maggie for sharing Louisa's story I cried and cheered her on in places. My heart ached for what she went through. What a brave and resilient young girl she was. Too know her now from your more recent books it's hard to believe that she had such a tragic time. A brilliant well wrote account. Thanks Maggie please keep sharing your fostering memoirs

This was a great read, and although still incredibly sad, this was nothing to do with Abuse which makes a nice change from these kinds of books.
This read follows the story of Louise, and the life for her after a coma.
I havnt read any of Maggie Hartley's other books so only know this from other reviews, but Louise gets mentioned in all the authors other books, so this one is obviously her story.
Will definitely be looking out for any past books from this author so I can catch up on some stories of some of her other foster children.

This book was sensitivity written and explains inngrewat detail what it's like when someone is in a coma how hard the recovery is and how difficult it can be to learn everything again such as walking talking,eating and swallowing,reading and writing.i enjoyed getting to know how Maggie and louisas story began.maggie was such a great and supportive and encouraging mentor to help Louisa with her recovery it was very upsetting that Louise lost both her parents at the age of 13.Even when Louise was pushing Maggie away although Louise didn't understand that's what she was doing Maggie was their for Louise and supportive to help her recover and to gain confidence as a teenager again.

Where's My Mummy?
This has to be my favorite book by Maggie so far.Louisa is such a strong young lady and has come through so much.This book actually brought happy tears and sad tears to my eyes and I have never experienced that with a book.Thank you for yet another wonderful story and Good Luck to you both.

I have read and enjoyed a lot of Maggie Hartley's books and often wondered about Louisa's story so was really glad when she finally decided to tell her story.
I was absolutely gripped from the start and couldn't put it down. Only negative point fore the end felt a bit rushed but perhaps she may expand on a future book

Great author with fantastic true.life stories
I love.readimg.and have read all.of maggies.books, once i.start one.i.can't put it down and never want it to end.
I can't get into anyone else's books like I do Maggie's,, I always feel lkke.I'm watching from the side when I read them.
I have recommended her books.to.friends and family.

beautifully written
Ever since I found Maggie’s books I was hoping she had or will write Louisa’s story. I mean it when I say as long as Maggie keeps writing. I will keep reading her books. I do wish they came in print copies and she deserves a higher commission and these stories are too beautiful not to have in your home.

Another fantastic book from Maggie Hartley. I have loved all of Maggie's books and this one doesn't disappoint. I had some sad tears and happy tears. Thank you so much Maggie and Louisa for telling us about Louisa's story. You are both incredible women.

Maggie Hartley latest book on Louisa’s journey into her life. This book is 5 stars, it was very interesting to read after hearing about Louisa in previous books! This was her book and her story. As normal well written thanks Maggie!

An excellent book
An unbelievable story about a young girl. An excellent read. Didn't want it to end.
Finished in just over a day as didn't want to stop reading.
Any Cathy Glass lovers would enjoy this book.

Brilliant. Makes you feel different emotionals
Brilliant.
Couldn't put this book down. I read it in 2 days.
It is nice to hear how Louisa came to live with Maggie and how much she has come through.

Louisa wakes up from a coma to discover that both her parents have died and foster carer Maggie is now going to look after her. Such a powerful and traumatising story. I felt sadness and so much hope shine through the pages.
