Cliche & too short, but somehow totally fulfilling?
Again, the writing in Werewolf’s Captive wasn't good. This is the second book to Werewolf’s Mate and I was a little bummed to see how short it would be compared to the first because I developed a soft spot for Jenna & Jay. I was invested and had to know what would happen after the cliffhanger in the first. 2.5⭐️’s 4🌶️’s
A lot was covered in this book but, again, elaboration was lacking. And there was certainly space for it… if the text hadn't been double. space? All the questions were answered and yes, they got their HEA but even then it felt like it ended on a cliffhanger or a kinda half thought. Lastly, Werewolf’s Captive was a lot darker than the first, which was more quirky and even light-hearted compared to this one.
I loved part, hated others ... but overall think this mini werewolf pnr duet was enjoyable.

Werewolf Captive is the best book in the series. Jenna finally realizes that she's in love with Jay while being held at this crazy breeding farm. Thankfully Jay is able to rescue her and also challenging the current Alpha to ensure they don't have to keep running.
I won't ruin the ending, but my only complaint is that I felt this story ended on a cliffhanger. Layla says this book is complete but that ending leaves you thinking that there is still more to come for the couple.
