I've read a few of Andrews novels... While the writing is perfectly descriptive without being verbose nor pretentious, I despise his common theme of ripping out the rug from the reader in the third act. It's simply an unnecessary trope that ruins chances of me reading any more of his books. :(

this book suprised me, it made me think about pain in our lives and what it can teach us.
