Releasing Fat: Developing Healthy Lifestyles That Have a Side Effect of Permanent Fat Loss

Rate this book
This is a great book about insulin resistance. The most shocking is the chapter "Save The Children". This presents the latest statistical information (when the book was published) about children who are developing insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. About one in three will go on to develop type 2 diabetes and in some ethnicities, as high as one in every two children. It looks like every other type 2 diabetes case diagnosed may involve a child, in the near future!

This book is what has helped me to lose 50 pounds and my husband to lose 80 pounds. Dr. Strand explained the science behind what happens when you eat certain foods that spike your blood sugar and cause you to become insulin resistance and thus gain weight. It is a lifestyle change, not just a diet, but it is actually easier than you think and so worth it.

Dr Strand was years ahead of his time. What he was developing and teaching in early 2000's is now accepted as common practice today. Had the privilege to be part of Dr Ray Strand's pilot group for online certification as a Healthy for Life Coach!
