Susan Stephens brings us another story with her Acosta family involved this time we meet Alejandro and see him find the love of his life with the sister of his best friend, there will be a few hurdles to cross first though.

Sienna Slater is devastated by the loss of her brother Tom this leaves her alone, but the reading of the will, will change things forever for Sienna who is a beautiful singer and music therapist, when she is left half of a Spanish island she starts to make plans for the future but things change again when she becomes involved with Alejandro, her brother’s best friend.

Alejandro is happily single but when he meets the beautiful Sienna Slater the sparks fly and they fly high there is a lot to work out after the death of Tom but will he be able to convince Sienna that his way is best when he can barely stop thinking about her and the night of passion they shared.

When the consequences of that night become clear Alejandro whisks Sienna away on his super yacht to the island she now half owns, does he want her for the baby only or will he learn that love is what he wants with Sienna?

A fabulous story that I would highly recommend to any romance reader, filled with sensual sizzle, emotions wonderful characters and a beautiful setting.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

With the loss of her brother, Sienna Slater inherited half of a Spanish island with Alejandro Acosta and is shocked. Alejandro is so rude. Alejandro wants to buy her half. She doesn’t want the money, all Sienna wants to do a teach music. She is a singer after all. She sings beautifully. Alejandro is surprised when he heard her. After a night of passion, she ends up pregnant. He whisk her away to the island. It’s absolutely beautiful. Maybe she can start a school in her brother’s name on the island. Alejandro doesn’t want the island to be disrupted. It’s for people who need help and for the islanders who live there. Alejandro wants to marry to give their child a home with two parents. Will Sienna agree? Does she want a loveless marriage? The chemistry is hot but that isn’t the only thing in a marriage. It’s for their child after all. She can have it all. A school, a career and a family since she has no family anymore. What will she do? Will she walk away and raise her child alone? Awesome characters. Both are strong and independent. Who will win out? I received this book for my honest review. I gave it voluntarily.

Weird outrageous set-ups that make no sense:

1. Rich friends (one of them a billionaire) recent history of fighting a nebulous war in what seems to be a combat, front-line troop roles. One dies in combat due to questionable maverick decision-making and then w/in a few days, our hero is never involved in the military ever again and only wearing his billionaire hat. War is not a video game, ma’am.
2. Female lead so worried about being canned for being late, but come to find out she is a glamorous headline singer at an established club that loves her. BUT she can suddenly be “kidnapped” to a vacation and has not one concern of her doubtless contractual obligations left in the lurch.
3. Someone is gifted half an island in this. Not a teeny atoll or anything either. It’s a huge island, with meaningful familial ties that has ferries to the mainland and is chock full of ranches and innocent unrelated families that have lived there for generations. Are you kidding me?
4. Billionaire is also a concert level pianist that can play to new sheet music, live on stage, without preparation? Wut even.

Mechanical jolting trudge through the steps of a romance novel with wavering chemistry. Isn’t this where the over the top stuff is supposed to be in an HP? Where is the angst and drama?

There are no stakes, the characters are too busy nagging or ignoring each other about life altering changes and character flaws.

They haven’t convinced me they emotionally invested in each other… so I’m not either.

Is this even written by the same author I have loved in the past?

Captivatingly alluring! The next book in Susan Stephens Acostas! series centers around Alejandro Acosta and his best friends sister. The characters are easy to like, the setting and backstory is powerful, and their attraction and sizzling sex appeal is on point. I wanted a bit more development to their relationships overall and some straight answers about Tom rather than subterfuge, but overall it was an enjoyable addition to the series.

Love and responsibility is a way of showing how important that person to you if you want something there a lot of ways but if you don't want it there a lot of reason

A good book

This was a very good read. The h and H was connected through her brother, he was the best friend to the H. They officially met at the reading of her brother’s will. They didn’t like each other in the beginning but they had an intense chemistry. An unexpected pregnancy brought them back together. Both suffered emotional issues because of losses of loved ones. They were able to overcome their obstacles and find love. Great epilogue.
