A collection of letters written by members of the first English voyages to North America.

Aspects of it were fascinating and enjoyable to read. Some of it was dry and not exciting (descriptions of flora and crops).

I particularly enjoyed the first hand retelling of Native and English interactions, including the incident of Roanoke Island.

Interesting book, but a hard read because of the English used in the sixteenth century. The book has contemporary descriptions of North America from the eyes of the first English explorers and colonists on the costs of Virginia and North Carolina.
