Sirens... They Make Sin Look Good I've found my third, and he's definitely the sin of anger. Jet has some damn rage problems, but I guess that's to be expected from a dragon shifter. Am I ready to play with fire? You bet your ass I am. Derek, one of my sins, is making good work on stirring the pot. He's trying to rip open a hole to hell and he's gotten Luke on a leash to do just that. Don't worry, I have a plan. I just hope it doesn't get everybody killed. Meanwhile I hear Sarah's gotten herself into some shit. By the time I get to her (gotta keep those sins in line) I find out that she has a new girlfriend. A muse and a siren sound like trouble to me, and I decide I don't like this Vikki character, even if there's something about her that makes one of my runes itch... Author's Note: This is a fast-burn reverse harem story. It includes explicit language and sexual situations. Intended for audiences 18 years and older. As this is a series, there will be a cliffhanger.

I love the first book in this series "Succubus Sins" and J.R. Thorn does not disappoint us in book 2. I loved learning more about Sarah and how her life has changed since loosing her gift. She is stronger then I can ever imagine willing to go thru so much to find what she has lost. Sonya is danger , with those she loves and for those that are going be be part of her life. As much as I want to tell you what is all happening , I won't because you'll enjoy the "little" surprises as much as I did. But be prepared for Hot men, more supernaturals and more and more and more.
KICKING IT WITH EASE!!! Holy crap! Talk about hitting the ground running. This bad boy will keep on your toes through the entire tale. This is one page turning bombshell that really test the bonds and binds of everything the main female has with every breath she takes. A whirlwind of emotions and events that really pound out the feeling with such depth it's intoxicating. I hope your ready for one wild ride my friends. Trust me this is one you definitely do not want to miss. Thorn really up the game here. If you think you've experienced a mega ton of excitement with the first installment, baby you don't know anything yet. The characters growth just keeps on strengthening as well as growing more powerful. Take nothing for granted and keep your back facing a wall. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a magnificent backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. The characters and their personalities just seem to mix and mingle as they play off one another in a brilliant display of moves and strategy. Thorn did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Thorn, you totally rocked this bad boy. Thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
Siren Sins the second book in the paranormal reverse harem Blood Stone series by J.R. Thorn. I was lucky enough to get the audio version and it was amazing, once again the narrator for the series Lia Holland did a great job.
I liked Sonya in the first book, Succubus Sins, but I really like her now. I can't help but like the sass, how caring she is, and how good she is despite what she is. Sonya hates what she is, it eats at her and it so heartbreaking. She pulls at my heartstrings because she can't help what she is and tries so hard to be different, overall she is a good person who wants love and she finds herself in the middle of this mess, being used, mistreated, and misjudged by so many. However she is strong, she keeps herself going, refuses to be a pawn, and is a supernatural powerhouse and that is just trying to find a way to live her life on her terms and I really love her for that.
The seven deadly sins... Sonya has met three of her four (mates/sins) and has finally met the three outlier sins. I will admit that being mates is and isn't this magical thing in this story. Yeah they have the bond but they have to work at their relationship, everyone is a mess so that just adds to the difficulties. Luke, I absolutely love Luke, he is so protective and understanding (well at least he tries to understand) and is supportive and has his own insecurities while trying to be helpful to Sonya as for the other two... one I am conflicted about because of who and what he is then there is Jet, who happens to be a dragon shifter. Jet is hot and sassy but has a calm side, I like his and Sonya's interactions and would love to see more of them together.
As for the outlier sins, they are a pain. Derek is working on an evil plan that would destroy the world, hell on earth. I still don't like Sarah, while she loved Sonya in her own way, she wasn't good for Sonya and places all the blame of their failed relationship on Sonya instead of looking to see what she did wrong. She is still a spoiled brat and things are gonna get worse with her before they get better. Finally, there is the third outlier and let me say I was completely shocked my who it was, didn't see it coming, and of course like the other two outliers she is gonna be a pain and I don't think she is done yet.
Siren Sins is a great continuation of the Blood Stone series, the characters are interesting and the plot is fantastic. Thorn has taken an idea and totally made it her own with wonderful characters and a plot that kept me guessing. I loved listening to the audio version of this book, I was completely enveloped into Sonya's world and I can't see how it all ends.
After being completely hooked into this world in book 1, ‘Succubus Sins’, I of course needed to read on. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off and keeps on with the all-absorbing, action-and-drama-packed atmosphere. This trilogy is a drug and I expect I’ll re-read it many times.
There are some really interesting supernaturals in this one, as well as some interesting twists on myths and legends, and I can’t help but appreciate the author and feel a need to consume everything else she’s written (which I’m working on!).
Character development is on point, continuity seems perfect and before I knew it, I was into book 3; this series is never dull!
I enjoyed traveling along with Sarah for a bit, the family drama, the mate drama, and the mystery. Sonya’s still trying to figure her s--- out and I’m just along for the ride, enjoying every minute. Too busy devouring all the action to bother trying to make predictions, which is nice.
Editing-wise, book is clean, free of distractions. Formatting: this book is absolutely gorgeous!
3.5 stars. A little boring actually. Surprising since there was never a lack of action. I think the constantly changing action-filled plot made it seem quite boring but not predictable. Definitely a book to read to pass the time and there really isn't anything drawing me to wait for the next book. The sex scenes were lackluster to me for some reason but I can't tell why. Also while the plot feels fast, the romance moves slow as a sloth. I don't see any type of relationship connection between her and her men and she seems to be the only one wanting any type of relationship. Kinda disappointing especially since our 'heroine' is supposed to have at least Some type of badassery. But she's lame, which is probably why this book is boring as hell, and yes that pun was as dry as this book. No offense to the author, because it's not complete crap, it has a good plot but it's rushed in some ways and slow in others. Also the personalities of your characters suck. They would bore an accountant to death.
Meh, I don't know if I like these books. Because I was at 80% and I was ready to give up the series and then you get to the cliffhanger and you can't help but want to know what happens. I think because I'm already two books invested I should just finish. -.-
Anywho, this one continued right where the first left off. And Sonya was absolutely annoying in this book. And you get A LOT of Sarah in this book. I'm talking chapters in her POV. Which I couldn't stand Sarah in the first book and now we got more of her? Just effin' great. And she's even more insufferable in this book.
Man, just writing this review I can tell I shouldn't finish because I guess I really just don't like these. BUT THAT CLIFFHANGER MAN. I'll just finish these damn things out. They're short enough that I shouldn't want to punch myself in the face for too long.
So I'm both enjoying this series and not at the same time. I really like so much yet nothing is happening at the same time and I just feel like the story progression is on the slow side which is fine in the right circumstances but I'm also about to go into book three and still am not in love with the characters. I don't feel invested in them and what may or may not happen to them. I'm hoping the last book gets better but I also can't say for sure if I'll finish the series as of right now.
There was a lot of action and danger and intrigue and manipulation in this book. Sonya has found 3:4 of her fated sins. Although she has “lost” Nate for now, at least she and Luke are surviving together. There are lots of revelations in this book, but they won’t make sense unless you’ve read the first one. I’m quite pleased with the series so far. Looking forward to the final book.
Sonya and company seems to continue jumping from one frying pan to another and I sure am loving it. We've gone from New York to Shanghai, to Miami, and ending in a cliffhanger in Venice with the plot ever growing.
I'm not sure, at this point, who's worse Derek or Apollo but I can't get enough of these characters. I'm really hoping book 3 is already available or it's going to be a very disappointing wait. To them author...please keep this books coming.
DNF’d this book. I see this author on TikTok all the time and decided to give it a try. The plot is ridiculous and impossible to follow. There is no world building or explanation of the world and it’s entities. Plus it is hard to take a millennia old incubus villain named Derek seriously. I rarely DNF books but this one made the very short list of books I just couldn’t stomach my way through.
DNF'd at 60%, I'm not going to continue this series. The narration was patchy, the timeline confusing and absolutely none of it kept me going for any reason except for my stubborn reading habits. Maybe I've read too many seven deadly sins adaptations, or maybe reading a series just to see the balance of multiple female partners in a poly relationship was a mistake, but I just can't get into it enough to finish it.
Wow this book is an action packed page Turner for sure. Finding her third sin, running into her ex who has a new gf, a whirlwind of emotions all around. This book knocks you off your feet and has you glued to the edge of your seat at the same time. It's vivid, easy to read, and the characters interactions are amazing. I highly recommend it.
This second book in the series had me all confused as to what was going on. There is a lot more characters being introduced and I did get a little lost as to whom was who!! It does all fall into place but i did have to skip back a couple of times. It’s well worth it though. Looking forward to the next book. #audiobookobsessionreviewer
Great sequel and I loved the focus on Sofia and her siren issues. Lots of action, drama and intrigue. The steam ratchets up in this one as Sonya finds her men. And the reconnect between Sophia and Sonya is interesting and full of emotion. Sophias dad is an interesting touch. Looking forward to the finale.
Sonya has met 3 of her 4 sins and 3 of the seven in this book. She is learning more about the people that want to do evil things and right now has no clue how to stop them. The men in this book will make you scream. You will hate them more and more that is the incubuss king and the male muse.
It is imperative that you read The Blood Stone series from book 1, Succubus Sins, which ends on a cliffhanger. That said, Siren Sins ramped up the action, secrets, betrayals, sins and spice and again ended on a cliffhanger and I have loved the introduction of some new characters and all the drama that came with it and cannot wait for what happens next! I am off to start Vampire Sins!
This is a good series. Love the MC and her four though I would have liked to seen more character and relationship development. You never know who is friend or foe. Good plot.
This series is just getting better. Sonya finds more of her four. And they are who or what you'd never expect. You meet so many more new paranormals in this story. On to the rest of the story. I have to know how it all plays out.
Fast paced and exciting. So much was packed into this installment. I enjoyed the concept and seeing more of the supernatural community such as mermaids, sirens and so much more.
Sonya has just met her third, Jet, and he's got a lot of anger. Derek is trying to cause trouble while Luke is trying to protect her. Of course, now Sonya needs to find Sarah, who's in trouble but has found new love with a siren, Vikki. What else could possibly happen?
Sonya's search for Luke and the rest of her "sins" gets her shanghaied to Shanghai, teleported to Miami, and whisked to Venice. This is a fast-paced, intriguing story. And what will happen to Sarah?
Holy cow, this is one crazy and complicated adventure! I am loving these characters, this plot and the world they love in. The magic and entertaining this story has is awesome and entertaining. Can't wait for more!
I loved this book! J.R Thorn never disappoints me when I read her books. There’s so much going on but it’s all easily followed. I do wish this book longer! I honestly can’t wait for the next one!!
i definitely like this book better than the first. but still the beginning of this book was super boring to me. no offense but i could care less about what was happening to sarah she got on my nerves. it wasn’t until the end of this book when i started to like her.
Angels, Dragons, Sirens, and Mermaids…ohhh my! A totally enjoyable and interesting 2n installment to this trilogy. I devoured it like a siren does a sailor haha. I love me some JR Thorn and get books!
