Dion Henderson's short collection of essays, divided into four sections covering the seasons, deals with observations about animal and plant life at his Wisconsin home. The stories contain tidbits of information about these "wild things" that many of us simply take for granted. Each essay is enhanced with a pen-and-ink illustration by Meryl Meisler. No doubt, readers will probably become more observant about what they witness in their backyards and neighborhoods after reading this insightful book.
