Silver Hunter is the seventh and last novel in the Silver Brothers Securities Family Saga and can be read as a standalone novel. Intended for mature audiences.
USA Today Bestselling Author Lacey Silks writes seat-gripping romantic suspense with heat and spice. She’s married to most of her characters and tortures her husband with quirky book roles. Lacey’s two kids and her dog Kygo fill her time with homework questions and sweet licks all over her face (the dog not the kids).
When she’s not writing seat-gripping and heart-throbbing stories, Lacey enjoys camping and skiing with her family. She’s an early bird by nature and drinks coffee instead of water, because that’s how her busy billionaire heroes do it.
Lacey’s flawed and relatable characters fill the pages with laughter, snark and tears. She judges men by the size of their feet, loves sexy lingerie, and can’t live without her “boost juice”: coffee.
Once again, Lacey Silks has created relatable and loveable characters and woven them into a story that is unputdownable. Of course, we’ve met Grace and Hunter in previous stories, but this one delves much more deeply into the origins of their relationship and the reason for its demise. And as with the other stories in the series, they (specifically, Grace) are being targeted by the Hartleys for nefarious purposes. The Hartley family is a sticky booger that you can’t shake off.
Although Hunter does some stupid things, at his heart, he’s a good guy and he loves Grace. He just needs to mature, and being separated from her forces him to do that. The story switches POVs between Hunter and Grace, but the time spent apart is dominated by Hunter because he’s the one who needs to grow.
I’m sure just about everyone has experienced a hangover or a feeling similar to one. I love this description of that feeling: “I woke up, feeling like I’d rolled down a hill over a thousand rocks and landed in a pit of spikes. My skin hurt everywhere, and my limbs felt like they’d gone through a chopper.” If you’re one of those lucky people who hasn’t experienced it, let this serve as your warning. (P.S. - I edited this.)
Grace Wagner has loved Hunter Silver foe years. Other call her a cougar, but she doesn't care because to Hunter she is his queen. After he did the unforgiveable, at the time, she kicked him out of her life. After working, and living in another country for years, Hunter is back in New York to protect Grace from a madman. Grace isn't happy about Hunter being back and following her everywhere she goes, but she still wants the child she tried to convince Hunter to give her all those years ago. So, while he is in her life again, she is determined to change his mind, but Hunter has a secret and he still doesn't think he can give her what she wants. As always, this author's characters are all well written, compelling, and I think they're realistic, even the bad guys. Steamy romantic suspense with exciting action, some violence, surprising twists in the plot, and a happily ever after. I think this a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series, and I recommend this book. and the series.

This is an absolutely amazing second chance read that you won't be able to put down. Grace is at the height of her career and she would love nothing more than to have Hunter with her to celebrate but when he drinks he becomes unpredictable and that wouldn't be good for her career. So when Hunter turns up anyway and so drunk she does the only thing she can and kick him out. Five long years later and Grace is in trouble and Hunter is the only one who can protect her but could this be their second chance. They still love each other and the chemistry is still there but is that enough. So much drama and suspense with plenty of emotion but can love win through. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
The last of the Silver Securities novels is a May-September story about a hot young "pool boy" and a beautiful, older business woman. Of course, because it's a Silvers' story, there are exotic locations, trashed businesses, crazy kidnappers, romantic conflicts, and of course, lots of hot romance. It was a great read with a few laughs, all the action I could ask for and a couple of characters who are sweet and relatable. It's a stand alone that doesn't require knowledge of the previous characters, but once you meet the supporting cast, I'm guessing you'll want to go back and find out more about the rest of the family.
Unpredictable second chance The characters are fabulous, as unpredictable as the events that surround them, as the reasons that bring them together again. I loved the Badass side of Hunter, but also his sensitive side which cannot be revealed, while Grace is open in all her emotions, in her desire for motherhood while she is constantly risking her life. It is excellent exciting, scorching and addictive. Well done, that doesn't sound like any second chance I've read before. The characters have evolved so much that they even discover each other for the first time, while already knowing each other. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Silver Brothers Securities Series comes to and end. We finally get the story of Hunter and Grace. I loved Grace and her nonsense attitude. I find Grace smart, funny and knows what she wants. I like Hunter but found him immature on many things. Hunter is smart, protective and would do anything to protect Grace. This is a fun ride. Sometimes I found it lacking in suspense. I wanted more dealing with who is chasing Grace. In my opinion Hunter comes back, he whisk Grace away then it just seems to disappear then all of sudden things are crazy again. In my opinion it's a good ending to the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader's copy.
Lacey writes a story that is easy to read, easier to get lost in and has characters that you can become! It is so easy to lose yourself in her writing, and spend the day in the world she has created, believing that you are a part of it, rather than reading about it.
Read these as stand alone, or all together, but myself, I would always go with all, because, well, why not? She pulls you in and keeps you engaged until you reluctantly have to put down the book or you are at the end.
I was given three books (4,5 and 6) as a boxed set by the author to read and review, and I can’t thank her enough for sharing with me.
Hunter knew from the moment he saw feisty Grace that she was the one for him, but then he blew it and humiliated her on her big night. Grace regrets not embracing dating Hunter to her friends but him reacting how he did almost destroyed her career. She has rose from that event and built her business to be even stronger. Now, a secret in Grace’s family has put her in danger so Hunter is contacted to protect her. Will they take this second chance to realize their love is stronger than any challenge thrown their way?
Silver Hunter: Enemies to Lovers Reverse Age Gap (Silver Brothers Securities Book 6) by Lacy Silks is a thoroughly enjoyable story. Set in this captivating series of Silver Brothers Security. I enjoyed this book almost as much as the previous books but this book lacked a something that I can't pinpoint. It was a story that added to the series and I still recommend. I received an advanced readers copy of this e-book & voluntarily leave my review.
I loved this book! Hunter was amazingly perfect and Gace complimented him fantastically. I'm sad this is the last story in this series, but it was such a spectacular story. Emotions are all over the place, the tense moments are brief, but impactful and memorable. I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC.
This story has danger, suspence and a little bit of romance, keeping you turning the page to read what happens next, looking forward to reading m more books from this author
Viel tegen. En snapte echt niet wat ze in hem zag aside from het feit dat hij blijkbaar knap en gespierd was. Want hij was kinderachtig en impulsief. Tot 70procent gelezen
