In 1983, Dolores was working with several individuals who volunteered for sessions to help her hone her craft in hypnosis. Over the years, she had developed her own technique of hypnosis wherein the client would go into a very deep state of trance and be able to re-live the past life they were seeing. When these individuals went back to a time in the past, it would be as if they were actually there. If there was something in our time that was not in their time, they wouldn’t know what you were talking about. This book is about the past lives of three of these volunteers who went back to the time of the Druids and gave information about how it was to live during this time and the difficulties that were experienced while trying to live with the faith of Mother Earth. The Inquisition was always lurking around trying to find these special groups that were not of the “accepted” religion and trying to force them to reveal information about their beliefs and practices. The Inquisition believed these special groups had powers and too much influence over “regular” people. So, come along with us and take the journey into the past. As Dolores would say, “They thought they had gotten rid of us with the torture and burnings; but we’re back!”
Dolores Cannon (1931 - 2014) was a self described "past-life regressionist" and hypnotherapist who specialized in the "recovery and cataloging" of "Lost Knowledge". Her roots in hypnosis went back to the 1960s, and she was specializing in past-life therapy since 1979.
Dolores became, perhaps, the world's most unlikely expert on the prophecies of Nostradamus. A retired Navy wife from Huntsville, AR, USA, Dolores was nearly fifty years old when she began experimenting with hypnosis and past-life regression. The results were, to say the least, quite spectacular!
Working through several different subjects, Dolores was able to establish communication with the living Michel De Notredame, better known as the prophet Nostradamus. His revelations and their impact on our own time are both fascinating and at times frightening.
Dolores has written the three volume set "Conversations With Nostradamus", the series on the translation of Nostradamus' quatrains. This series contains the translation of almost 1000 prophecies, all interpreted for the first time and have been in print since 1989. It is considered the most accurate interpretation of the prophecies ever printed.
Dolores has been a UFO investigator for twenty years, using her skills as a regressionist to help people that had been involved in abduction cases. She has written several books on the UFO information volunteers have revealed while under hypnosis.
Her unique technique of hypnosis is being taught all over the world via the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy.
Dolores has written 17 books about her research in hypnosis and UFO cases. Her books are translated into over 20 languages. She founded her own publishing company, Ozark Mountain Publishing, in 1992.
Dolores has toured in the USA, England, Europe, the former Soviet bloc countries, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia to promote her works, and to discuss her particular brand of psychic research. She has spoken to radio and television audiences worldwide. She has given lectures at such locations as: Whole Life Expos in Los Angeles, New York and San Diego; Global Science Congress; various A.R.E. Edgar Cayce Foundations; Conscious Living Expo and MBS Expo in Australia; The College of Psychic Studies in London, England; The Theosophical Society in London, England; as well as many other organizations. Dolores was the first American and the first foreigner to receive the "Orpheus Award" in Bulgaria, for the highest advancement in the research of psychic phenomena.
Articles by/about Dolores have appeared in several magazines including: "Body, Mind and Spirit"; "Magical Blend"; "Connecting Link"; "Kindred Spirit" (an England magazine); "People Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "Conscious Living Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "After Dark" (the Art Bell magazine); "The Unknown Magazine"; "The Washington Post"; and "New York Times". Also magazines and newspapers in Russia, Spain, South America, Bulgaria, Japan and Arab countries.
Dolores appeared on various TV specials including "A Current Affair" (in Australia); BBC Documentary Series "Divine Magic"; "Ancient Mysteries of the World" (a two hour special on CBS); "Ancient Prophecies I and Ancient Prophecies II" (two hour specials on NBC); "Encounters" ( a one hour special on FOX network); "Good Day LA" (in California); "Mysteries, Magic and Miracles" (the Sci-Fi Channel); "Marilu Talk Show" (ABC); "Biography" (series on A&E Channel); "America After Hours" (CNBC); "CNN International Entertainment News".
She has spoken on over 1000 radio shows including Art Bell’s Dreamland, George Noory’s Coast to Coast, and Shirley MacLaine, plus speaking at innumerable conferences worldwide. In addition she had her own weekly radio show, the Metaphysical Hour, on BBS Radio for nine years.
I found the book absolutely mesmerizing. I was transported to a different time and place. Dolores Cannon’s unique method of hypnosis puts clients into a deep state. Some of the lives explored go back to the Druids, the inquisition and a physician living in Alexandria.
I have read all her books. Dolores Cannon sadly passed away in 2014. She had plenty of material for future books. I am so grateful that her daughters went through some of her tapes and transcripts and published this book. I look forward to many more.
Dolores the Pioneer Who Opened The Door To Our True History
I’ve read close to every book Dolores has written. I enjoyed Atlantis, Lemuria and the Extra Terrestrial journey. This book was beautiful and revealing of how many good people suffered through the Church’s wrath. The Inquisition and many other followers of intolerance and ignorance. I will miss Dolores and continue reading her books again and again! Thank you!
This book is not as strong as Cannon's previous books. I thought this book would be devoted to priestesses but there were some chapters on doctors and musicians (not sure why that needed to be included). I recommend Cannon's Convulated series of books, those are more interesting.
The main portion of this book with Astelle eventually felt like it was going on too long (if I had to hear about the lady Jocelyn one more time…) but there was still a ton of interesting info, and once it switched to the stories of a few different other lives, I was interested again. I especially enjoyed hearing about the life of the bard towards the end.
The author was a woo-woo advocate who claimed she had cured cancer (all stages). Here’s some of her other claims..
• Cartilage being reconstructed between joints • AIDS being cured and eradicated from the body • Heart conditions being healed, afterwards surgery is no longer required • Deteriorated livers being regenerated and restored to full function • Damaged kidneys being regenerated and restored to full function • Open flesh wounds being regenerated with no scarring • Migraines being explained and their root causes removed • 20/20 vision being restored where people no longer need corrective vision • Diabetes being cured and the causes for it explained
The past lives she reports here - she’s a reporter now in addition to her supernatural awesome healing prowess- are unconvincing and full or anachronistic descriptions from an 80’s American’s imagination of what pre-American cultures were like.
Her woo-woo explanation of how the ‘energy’ of stuff works is vague and meaningless.
Full disclosure, I skimmed much of the book after the first 25% because...well, It was that bad.
Any of Dolores Cannon's work is amazing! Her abilities and gifts have been a precious gem I will forever cherish. Her work has absolutely helped me shape my perspective, my purpose, and the meaning of life.
This book takes you wayyyyy back into the life of the druids and the true healers before colonization and religion spread to take over control of spirituality (even though in some parts was already beginning).
Dolores' past life regressions are unmatchable. The fact that she could hypnotize someone and get detailed information about lost cultures & languages then later research them to put even more pieces together about missing history, absolutely mind blowing! Dolores had direct communication with aliens in her time and provided detailed information about it for humanity to witness and restore. She explored thousands of past lives through hypnotism and openly shared her story and findings. Her communication was direct and always with love and why I will always love Dolores and the work she has done!! I look forward to any sort of knowledge and information I can soak up from Dolores! ✨
I tried to leave a review for this book on Amazon and I got the error message "item not eligible for review."
I have not yet finished reading this book. I am most of the way through. My conscience compels me to speak up.
This book is so very important! Information about our past, about the Goddess worshippers of Europe, has been almost completely wiped from the face of the earth. That which remains is often twisted.
Through past life regression hypnosis, we are able to be time travelers and reclaim what was lost. What is contained in this book needs to be seen and understood by as wide an audience as possible. It is time. I am full of gratitude for finding this book and I will be sharing it with as many as I can.
Trigger warning: this book contains some very disturbing recounted events that are both violent and sexual. The overall information is powerful and uplifting.
I wanted to try a Dolores book for a while. And decided to try this one. It's an interview style book written, or much rather seemed to be put together by her daughter (I think) after Dolores passing. And I really wanted time to just sit and read, and when better to read when you laid up not feeling too well.
I enjoyed the book but I feel like it missed something, and I can't tell what 😂🙂🤦♀️ maybe unfortunately because Dolores passing I will never know. I think it lacked depth. I will read more from her and I'm glad she kept me company on a laid up sick day.
If you're interested in spirituality in any form I would totally recommend this book.
Horns of the Goddess by Dolores Cannon, though highly anticipated, left me with mixed feelings. As someone who has read nearly all of Dolores' books, I could tell that this final work was completed by others posthumously. Unfortunately, it lacked the usual flow and cohesion that her writing typically possesses, and the absence of a clear, unifying theme was noticeable. However, I did appreciate the inclusion of audio clips with songs, which added a unique and immersive touch to the experience. While it doesn’t fully capture the magic of her earlier works, it still offers a bittersweet farewell to her legacy.
So much wisdom in this book! I loved listening to it and feeling transported back in time. However, I wish we’d gotten more lives that were a bit more “on topic”. For example, the Minstrel and the Doctor didn’t have anything to do with the Goddess, so I’m confused why they were even included in this book. And then the two short lives at the end seemed like they were thrown in there without any context and did not get enough attention. They felt rushed. But the first half of the book with the stories of the Druidess and Astelle were totally worth it, it felt like I knew them personally :)
My first Dolores Cannon book after listening to her Lecture Series. Since this was some of her earlier work I thought it was like starting from the beginning. It seemed like she didn't publish these for 40 years due to (fear?) of the anti-religion messages. Also the earlier interviews were a bit cringy and seemed like grooming. She told her subjects in the interviews she wouldn't tell anyone, that they can trust her but these interviews would be published for the world to see. That's hypocritical.
Wow how fascinating. I felt like I traveled into the past listening to these regressions and was totally immersed in their stories. So interesting, even a handwriting analyst said one of the subjects under regressions signatures were by two different people (same person) under hypnosis. Makes you realize that we are truly are multidimensional beings and have lived many lives. Definitely a 10/10 eye opening read.
I was excited to read this book, but disappointed that half the book was of a different, unrelated topic.
The information throughout was interesting, but having been put together by the late Dolores family, was not up to the same standard as her earlier books.
Would I read another of the post dolores books? Heck, yes!
The sessions matter more if we get background info on the client. The why they sought Dolores out and the SubConscious reporting what the client needs make it a learning experience for the reader.
One of the best books in Dolores Cannon's work. Interesting and well put together, the audiobook was well narrated and the audio was clear, unlike several of the earlier books, perhaps because production became smoother, easier to conduct? At any rate, this is one to listen to or read. Well done.
Grateful for Dolores Cannon. Just learned about her through a spiritual group I was in and been going through an awakening and everything makes sense. I've had past life similar to some of these stories.
I found myself remembering a lot of things that perhaps I experienced in my own past lives. It felt like I was living in these times along with them. The stories are so vivid and I'm glad I was able to become witness. Thank you for this work
