The Psychology of
Money―investing, personal finance, and business decisions―is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together.
You Are a Badass at Making
You Are a Badass at Making Money will launch you past the fears and stumbling blocks that have kept financial success beyond your reach. Drawing on her own transformation—over just a few years—from a woman living in a converted garage with tumbleweeds blowing through her bank account to a woman who travels the world in style.
Know More, Make More, Give
That is a universal desire, but many of us regard wealth and financial independence as a goal which we'll likely never achieve - there are just too many bills that need paying and there is a widespread belief that the money game is rigged. Even people who win the lottery or inherit money often seem to wind up losing it. The evidence suggests you can't win a game that you don't understand.

Ternyata The Psychology of Money mengambil jalan yang berbeda.

Powerful. Recommended.
The Psychology of Money, Morgan Housel. "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel is a compelling and insightful exploration of how our emotions, behaviours, and perceptions shape the way we approach money. Rather than focusing on traditional financial advice or investment strategies, Housel delves into the psychological aspects of personal finance—highlighting how human nature, biases, and life experiences influence financial decisions.
The book is structured as a series of short, thought-provoking chapters, each addressing a different aspect of money management, such as the power of patience, the dangers of comparison, and the importance of risk. Housel uses a mix of historical anecdotes, behavioural psychology, and real-world examples to illustrate his points, making the concepts accessible and engaging for a wide audience, regardless of financial expertise.
What sets "The Psychology of Money" apart is its focus on long-term thinking, financial independence, and the idea that wealth isn't always about making more money but about making better decisions with what you have. Housel’s writing is clear, relatable, and full of wisdom, offering practical lessons that are not just about wealth accumulation, but also about leading a thoughtful and fulfilling life.
Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the emotional side of money and making smarter, more deliberate financial choices. "The Psychology of Money" is an insightful, well-written guide that offers timeless wisdom on personal finance. A solid 4-5 star read for anyone looking to better understand their relationship with money.

The Psychology of Money is an insightful book that explores the relationship between people and
money. Morgan Housel explains that financial success is not only about knowledge or numbers, but
also about behavior, emotions, and the decisions we make.
What I liked most about this book is that it focuses on the human side of finance. The author uses
simple stories and real-life examples to explain important lessons about saving, investing, patience,
risk, and building long-term wealth. The book shows that everyone has different experiences with
money, which affects the way they make financial choices.
The writing style is clear, engaging, and easy to understand, even for readers who are new to financial
topics. Instead of giving complicated formulas, the book encourages readers to develop better habits
and a healthier mindset toward money.
Overall, The Psychology of Money is a valuable read for anyone who wants to understand not just how
money works, but how people think about money. It teaches lessons that can be applied in everyday life
and encourages thoughtful financial decisions.

The book deals with finance in a much different way than usual. The author shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and explores the different behaviors people have when dealing with money. I really loved how straight to point this book was, there were no meaningless situations created. Each chapter was carefully thought about and only consisted of the lesson that the author wanted to share, and relevant examples were placed wherever needed. Don't get the theme wrong though, just because this book is about finance, doesn't mean it only contains technical and mathematical knowledge about economy, money or investing. Not at all. It focuses more on the behaviors and mentality which make a person wealthy.Overall, a good read :)

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel explains that wealth is less about how smart you are and more about how you behave with money. The book uses simple stories to show how emotions like fear, greed, luck, and patience shape our financial decisions.
The biggest lesson I learned is that saving quietly and investing long-term matters more than showing off. The author also reminds us that everyone has a different financial background, so we shouldn’t copy others blindly.
Easy to read, practical, and full of wisdom — this book changes the way you think about money and life. A must-read for young people who want financial freedom early!
