I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. Another great Book By Hayden Bellarose. I love the way you write your books.So satisfying reading a book that is just descriptive enough without going overboard. Being able to put myself in the situation and be apart of the life you give your characters. I was feeling her tension when they asked her how it was with Devin there. Bumping into him in the hall. Forearms have never been more attractive.
As a long time Adult book reader (30+ years), That first time scene was the best I have ever read.

Devin and Delilah won my heart...IMMEDIATELY with their story. Both of them having wounds that needed to be healed and healed they were. And the steamy moments between them.....HOT!
Delilah (Lilly) escapes her abusive husband to the Gregory family farm. She knows none of them but ends up fitting right in. Her main goal is to protect herself and her daughter, Molly, from her husband she is trying to divorce and he is having none of it.
Devin's life is the Army. It is all he has known since he was 18 years old. He left the family farm in his siblings' hands and very rarely comes home for visits. All of that changes with one mission gone wrong and he is forced to return home with nowhere else to go. To his surprise the house that is meant for him is currently occupied by Lilly and Molly.
To Lilly, Devin is this huge beast of a man that she fears of upsetting b/c all she has known is abuse at the hand of a man. Devin's surly demeanor has her thinking he hates her. Little does she know that is just who he is and she is all he thinks about even though he knows it is wrong. Devin sees how Lilly puts herself last and does for everyone else first and soon he starts doing little things for her here and there. It is inevitable that they begin to grow close. He quickly becomes fiercely protective of her and Molly. He is going to do whatever it takes to make her see her worth and beauty.
This first book in Ms. Bellarose's Riverside series is a great setup for the what is to come with the Gregory family. The relationship between the siblings is typical with banter and love for one another. Seeing the way they all protect Lilly and Molly and consider her part of the family was so touching because it is what she deserves. Then there is Devin and how closed off he has been with them but gradually starts opening up. That epilogue at the end left me giggling!

Devin spent the last eighteen years in the military, but a terrible accident has forced him to go back to the family farm. He's never wanted to settle down and have a family...until Delilah. Delilah has escaped her abusive husband with her daughter Molly and finds herself on the Gregory farm thanks to the kindness of an old friend. She meets Devin and while the chemistry is there, there are hurdles they may not be able to overcome.

This was a sweet romance that just made my heart melt. Delilah has a rough time, and she struggled to get away from an abusive relationship. I loved how strong she was to finally pull away and get her and her daughter out. Devin has a strong personality and he has a bitter outlook on life after the accident. Delilah brought a little more happiness into his life, and it was great watching him do a 180 with his personality.
I don't like books with kids in them, especially romance books. It's not my cup of tea, but I will say this was really well written and for those who enjoy a more family style romance, this would be perfect.

It is no secret I love small town stories where everyone knows everyone. This one was very very good. It has some heavy topics ie the abuse Lilly faced in her marriage. The connection between Devin and Molly touched my heart. He was just so sweet with her. Lilly is a tough woman to not only get out but find a new life. I really hope Hayden Bellarose keeps writing about this family, because I can’t wait to see the rest of the boys meet their matches.

Hayden has don it yet again, I couldn’t put this book down it was so good. I love how she makes her characters feel so real. I love the chemistry between ALL the characters.

Perfect quick romance read
I'm usually more of a dark romance reader, but every now and then a mote simple, down to earth, sweet romance book catches my eye. Saw a tiktok from this author and immediately ran to grab this book on KU. I literally finished it in one sitting. I appreciate a quick read like this that I can finish in only a few hours. I love the small town family vibes and the characters in this book.

This book goes from slow burn to boiling hot!
I really enjoyed the tension between the two main characters and all the buildup. They both have troubled pasts, but are exactly what each other needs to heal from it. The family moments were heartwarming, and if you like family series, there are a lot more Gregory brothers that need their own HEA ;)

great Story
This is a book about healing and finding solace and peace in others and those around you. This is told in dual POV and I think the story ended beautifully. I loved how Delilah learned to stand up for herself, tell people no and learn it’s okay to let someone else into your life. This is book 1 in the series and I am definitely going to be reading more.
