What a wonderful work this is for me to use! I thank IM Blokh for such a work; I feel it keeps my brain sharp, and extends my vision for use in my games. Working through them has improved me to some degree, and I take great joy in working through the ideas in my mind. If I do not solve a puzzle on one day, I take time to write down what I do understand and come back to it later. I bought two copies so as to be able to write in the margins of one,--not notes, but my state of mind as I try to solve them, or where I was when I first did solve them. I have a "Show this to a chessfriend!" notebook where I write down the puzzles in shorthand, to share them at the board later. The varying levels keep me engaged, both as a teacher and as a student.

His work is excellent, and he has other books and programs with which you may test your own abilities.

I carry it with me everywhere as I travel. It stays in my bag, or in my hands.

(15 June 2011) I am always with this book. I share it with students here who, being new to the game, had not considered such a thing to exist. It changes their idea of the game.
