Great continuation of this series. Sam and his family continue to fight adversity at every turn. Lauren is pregnant and that storyline adds to the daily struggle to keep the peace, fight enemies, and to survive the hardships. The next installment comes out in December. This book does not disappoint. Note I read an advance copy of this book.

Saga continues

The saga of life after the EMP continues. Sam, his family, his brother Vince and their friends fight to remove those who cause them harm. It isn't a story in which everyone survives, but it certainly makes you realize the atrocities that power hungry people are willing to commit. There is a quote in the book that is also very fitting. "That’s the problem with politicians, getting them to put the people first, before their own interests." Start with book 1 in the series. I am grabbing book 4.

Excellent book 3 in this series.

Sam and the others trying to establish a base for themselves and their families away from all the killings, pilfering and evil encounter so much evil they have to resort to going out and destroying the ones who are coming after them. Losing family and friends in just trying to survive without electric, food supplies becoming close to nonexistent as well as medical supplies has plunged life back many years.

Two Kinds Of Warlords

The obvious Warlords are the Corbin’s and the Russo’s but there’s another kind… The Politicians! And the question is “Which one is worse?”
Only time will tell BUT the Righteous People who care about each other will have to fight both them to bring some semblance of peace to their region.

This book 3 was quite good. Yes there were a few very minor editing issues (ta instead of at), and it was starting to feel repetitive that Lauren didn't want Sam to go fight. Neither of those issues detracted from a solid addition to the series and a strong ending to set up the next book.

This has been a good series, but I gave up with this book. They kept adding more characters, but didn't flesh them out enough for me to care about. That's a big deal for me, if I don't care about the characters, there's no point in finishing the book.

Well worth the wait. Excellent read. Sad to hear so many died trying to save their country let’s hope it never comes to that in our life times.

Handling problems

Good people in a bad situation don't have the luxury of just working on their problems. The bad people have to be handled.

The tension and excitement continue in this 3rd book of the series. As the community members work and fight together they do what they need to do to keep their loved ones safe. Very suspenseful.
