I love unusual books and I place this one in the category of "unusual." This small 101 page title contains quotes about men, quotes that are not exactly complimentary. For example; "The more I see of men, the more I like dogs," or "I like men to behave like men, strong and childish," or "The real problem is not whether machines think, but whether men do," the latter one from B. F. Skinner. The fact that some of these quotes come from people like Mae West, Bette Davis, Cher, and Elizabeth Taylor would lead the reader to expect some negative comments about men. But other quotes are from Adrienne Rich, Kathleen Norris, and Agatha Christie and they give the book a bit more credibility.
Several pages include quotes from men, but the vast majority are from women, and there are a lot of women and girls who, unfortunately, have had bad experiences with men and boys. Needless to say there is some truth mixed in with this humor. The only question that remains is; does this give men, or reptiles, a bad name?
