Dodging blind dates set up by well-meaning family members is a full-time job, but it doesn’t pay the bills. What does is almost as distasteful—promoting a boxing event.
Gina Valentino spends her days promoting and running marketing events while dodging the blind dates her Mom and Nona keep trying to arrange. She’s hired to promote a boxing event which she finds barbaric but the handsome owner of the club is anything but.
Darren Alexander is carrying a burden of losing his brother. He starts an event in his memory hiring a marketing specialist to make it the be all and end all for a local fight night. When the beautiful yet uptight PR specialist shows up, she is not what Darren is expecting. Taking part in the fights wasn’t in the plan, and only seems to cement Gina’s disdain for boxing.
Can they each put aside their differences to find their true match?
Darren and Gina were great characters that I quickly related to. Their story had me hooked from the beginning and kept me turning the pages. Can't wait to read the next one in the series!
I was hooked from the beginning. Could not put it down. The commanding presence of Gina just lets you know it is going to be a great ride. Out to prove herself and find a little something something along the way.
This is a fun, entertaining read. Darren and Gina are interesting, strong, complex, relatable, intriguing, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA.I loved the family and friends aspects of this story. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.
