We all have a part to play, but sometimes, you just need to step out of your role…
Alpha Stanley Larsen is a rule-follower. He’s buttoned up tight, and as much as he wants to fit in, he just can’t seem to find his place in this world. He’s too short to be intimidating, too stern to be charming, and even though he’s good with his hands, singlehandedly putting together the backdrops, props, and costumes for performances at The Apollo Theater, no one’s willing to give him a chance on a more personal level. What he really needs is an omega who’s willing to take control.
Omega Del Connelly has no problem with control… unless it’s keeping a leash on the alpha tiger who lives within him. On weekends, he dons his alternate persona, Mistress Delilah, for performances at The Spotlight, Valleywood’s famous drag bar, but as much as he lives and breathes for the stage, it’s not shaping up to be all he dreamed it would be. First it’s hecklers and handsy alphas in the audience, but now the neighborhood is getting dangerous, putting him constantly on edge. What he really needs is to let loose, but to do that, he’ll need to find a mate that he and his tiger can agree on.
Role Play kicks off season two of Valleywood, a multi-author series centered around a bustling city struggling with its hold on magic. Role Play is a drama-filled mpreg romance featuring an alpha longing to be dominated, an omega willing to take the reins, a series of disappearances, a mysterious villain working in the wings, an unexpected pregnancy, plenty of glitter and sequins, and a final act that will leave you begging for more!
Trisha Linde spends all her time immersed in books, both reading and writing, mainly because she lives where it’s too cold to do anything else, and what better way to keep warm than with a hot book. The first time she read mpreg, it was love at first sight, and there’s no turning back now.
When she gets older, she will likely invite strangers over for dinner, and you can bet your ass there will be sequins.
This was book 13 in the "Valleywood"series. Alpha Stanley Larsen is a rule-follower. He’s buttoned up tight, and as much as he wants to fit in, he just can’t seem to find his place in this world. Stanley is not intimidating and he is short. Stanley came to the US when his former boss mated someone from Vale Valley. Omega Del Connelly is a tiger shifter he is an omega but his tiger is an alpha. Del is also a drag entertainer. He has problems submitting to alphas his tiger has problems. Del is mugged one night while getting off work only it didn't go like the mugger wanted it to. When out with his class they go to a drag show and Stanley is instantly attracted to Del and when he auditions for a part in a musical at the theatre that Stanley works at. This was a good read Stanley has a secret that Del is more than happy to help him with. When his friend is taken Del will do anything to get her back. This was a good read. Del and Stanley are kinky. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This book has a fun change up of the standard alpha/omega and dom/sub roles between a non standard alpha called Stanley and his very unusual omega Del. This is book 13 of the Valleywood series that has different authors writing books based in the same town. I have read a few of these but they are all fairly independent and you don’t need to have read the previous books in order to enjoy this one. I always like series like this especially because it’s a great way to find new authors that write the type of books you like. I love doing stuff with the little theater group in our town which makes it more interesting for me to read books that are based around a theater like this one is. I especially enjoyed the role reversal switch ups that Trisha Linde uses to great effect to show that there is someone out there for everyone. The plot isn’t terribly different than other books I’ve read but it’s a fun addition to this series.

This is the first book I have read in this series and I really enjoyed it. This is the story of Stanley Larsen and Del Connelly. Stanley is an alpha who works as a general handyman at the theatre. He is completely a by the book kind of guy. Though he would love to have someone to come home to, he realizes that his needs aren't typical for an alpha. Del is an omega tiger shifter who performs as Mistress Delilah on the weekends. While Del is all omega, his tiger is all alpha. This is a problem for Del. He is afraid to lose control of his tiger in a sexual setting as the tiger is not prepared to be treated like an omega. The two of them meet at the theatre during a open casting call. Stanley is completely smitten and Del is worried. The chemistry between the two just jumps off the page. This is their story. I really enjoyed their relationship and how they both did what was good for each of them. Forgetting about societys norms for behaviour. This was a great book. It is well written and easy to read.

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was another good book by Trisha Linde, as well from the Valleywood Series. I really enjoyed that this book switched things up with what we’re used to reading about in alpha/omega books. This book features a submissive human alpa Stanley and a drag queen omega, that shares his body with an alpha tiger shifter Del. Stanley and Del are absolutely perfect for each other. Fate sure knew what they were doing matching these two. Some of the supporting characters completely cracked me up, mainly the friends that Stanley made during his English as the second language class (Mrs Chung was my favourite). When Del’s deer shifter friend is taken by those who’re abd*cting shifters Del, Stanley and the rest of the Apollo theatre crew wont stop looking until they find her. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this series and by Trisha Linde in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Short, doesn't mean little or small. Alph Stanley, never seems to fit in with anyone. He is his own person, knows who he is but he doesn't fit into any stereotypes. He lives a life looking in the windows. He prefers to follow directions and it's hard to find a compatible omega. Omega Del, lives life on his own terms and spends his life during the evenings as Ms Delilah performing at the drag bar, The Spotlight. He struggles with his Alpha tiger for control, but he handles it. He is not the stereotypical omega who submits to an alpha. So, he spends a lot of time alone. When these two meet, it's instant attraction. Del recognizes his mate. Stanley, knows he wants. Absolutely delightful story, very sensuous. The courtship was fun because neither man expected the feelings. There is a sub story of a mystery that adds a little spice. Fun friend group. I look forward to hearing more about the community. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Alpha Stanley Larsen doesn’t feel like he can fit in with people. He’s so different, won’t bend the rules, doesn’t fit any pre-conceived roles. He’s great with the work at the theater, but no one is interested in dating him. He needs an Omega in his life who will take control, a role reversal where the Alpha isn’t always in charge.
Omega Del Connelly has a reverse issue from what Stanley suffers. His “alpha” tiger has no problem being in control, but that’s not what Alphas expect. He comes alive on the stage, so meeting up with Stanley seems inevitable. And he’s ready for a mate, but he and his inner tiger have to agree on the mate they choose. Can they find what they are looking for in Stanley?
Many unique and interesting characters, including MCs Del and Stanley, who were so compatible that they complimented and completed each other. Running alongside their story of blossoming love, acceptance, laughs, and discovery, are dark and mysterious happenings that create chaos, danger, and fear. The two aspects of this story blended perfectly into a well written, gripping tale that is highly entertaining, has ups and downs, twists, and a satisfying HEA. I would definitely recommend this book.

I think that what I liked about this story in the Valleywood series is that is was somewhat different than what is often portrayed which made this intriguing. I liked that Stanley and Del were not only not typical alpha and omega, but even in their not being typical they are somewhat more than I was expecting. I really liked Del's interesting inner struggle with his alpha tiger. That brought a somewhat unexpected twist into the story as well. But they really were a good match for one another.

Trisha Linde's books never disappoint. I loved this from the start. And here's why: It was interesting to see omegaverse somehow mixed up. The alpha is no "real alpha" and the omega fights against his alpha tiger. Sometimes this was really funny. Both struggle with their roles and find their fated in each other. Combined with all that Valleywood atmosphere this makes for a wonderful read. Highly recommended!
Another fun read from Trisha Linde! I always enjoy the books I read from her. They are pretty quick and easy reads, full of sweet moments and some spice that I can typically get through in one sitting. and Role Play was no different! The only thing was that I was kind of thrown off at the end with the scene at the hospital... it just seemed very random to me, but otherwise I enjoyed the story!.

Another volume in the fictiional Valleywood series. Del and Stanley are a shifter/ human couple who find each other as mates. I found it refreshing that they where not hung up on the stereotypical alpha/ omega roles. They do find their hea with their brand new little ones. For the mysterious part about the kidnappings, I am wondering if more will be revealed in a later book.
I love when books switch things up! A submissive alpha, yes! An omega drag queen with an alpha tiger inside, heck yeah! Both of them are out of the ordinary and needed someone special to fulfill their needs. Stanley is such a cute, sweet alpha. He still has some dominance in him but for the most part, he likes to have direction. Del/Delilah is a strong omega who can only submit when his tiger allows him to. This was a fun, enjoyable story. I loved all the characters! The English as a 2nd language class people were really fun. If you love Valleywood or want to try a different kind of omegaverse story, this is for you!
This is the first story from the Valleywood series and I definitely going back to start at book one. I always love books from Trisha Linde and this one didn't disappoint. There's spice, kinks, mystery, and a great HEA. Absolutely worth reading.
This omegaverse universe had a litany of perfect twists and funny moments. Breaking away from the traditional roles of alphas and omegas, which I absolutely love. Stanley and Del both, have to contend with their inner roles and have fun doing it.

Stanley is human and Del is a tiger shifter and both are looking for their mates but are afraid that their mates might not want what they want. When they meet they know that they are perfect for each other. There is evil out there that they must stop for them to have their happiness. I really enjoyed this book.
This was a little bit different from your normal fated mates, omega and alpha stories and I really liked that. There's also a good balance of romance to action to drive the storyline. Definitely worth a read.

Role Play is book thirteen in the Valleywood Series. This was an interesting read. It has a different play on fated mates and what roles the played and what they are.

I was so happy to see Valleywood back for another season. I love this series so much and this was the perfect story to start with. I really enjoyed this story and the characters were so interesting.
I really enjoyed this book. It has love at first sight, romance and some action. Del and Stanley participate in role reversal that works for the both of them. Together they find their happily ever after!.

Role Play is part of the Valleywood series. Stanley is an Alpha, he struggles to fit it and talk to people. He needs to someone to take control! Del is an Omega that is the total opposite of Stanley. He likes to take control. This was a fun read that kept me engaged, Loved Stanley and Del!
To say I was excited when I figured out I was reading Stanley's story is an understatement. Lol. I'm so glad he got a book and that we got more of previous characters. Del was Stanley's perfect match. Hope there will be more from this whole crew.
Not your typical fated mates kind of novel. It gave its own twist on the Alpha/Omega dynamics with a good dose of romance to balance the action in the story.
I immediately wanted to read this because of the role reversal. I loved that Del and Stanley didn’t play their typical roles and that still worked for them!
It was fine at first, and then they started a while new plot line about shifter power or whatever and I did not sign up for that level of cringe so, Dnfed at 70ish%.
