I had no idea he had a twin. And no damn clue I hooked up with the wrong brother... until it was too late.
From the first day I met Jesse Chandler, I knew he was the one. The one to make me happy, to make me feel loved. I wanted to share everything with him—my dreams, my fears, my bed. He’s been an exemplary boyfriend from the start. A suave, mature, incredibly smart, hard-core ambitious man. The whole shiny package. Our relationship is stable. Well, my friends like to say it ‘lags,’ but they are wrong. Jesse understands me. We’re the same in many ways. And since we came together, he’s never let me down.
Until he ditches me on the one day I need him most. At least, that’s what I thought…
Suddenly, there he is, more gorgeous than ever, sweeping me off my feet with a surprise visit. He came back, putting his career on the line for my sake. He came back for me. And damn, his new bad-boy allure sets our love ablaze once more. Everything’s perfect.
So perfect even, I’m starting to wonder... Is this really the same man I fell in love with?

4.5 Stars! I’m sad this is the end!!! I was 100% engrossed in this story! Ruby definitely deserved more than what Jesse was giving her. With all her phobias, I thinks she was just comfortable with him. But Rafael…wow! He challenged her, he supported her, and not once in the short time they were together did he make her feel like there was anything more important than her. Rafael was everything Ruby didn’t know she needed, and I soaked up every scene they were together! It was a dirty trick! A revenge plot. Both were to blame. But Rafael’s feelings were, to me, very obviously real. Jesse just left me feeling disgusted. Never accepted his own responsibility when it came to Lana, but happily heaped it all onto Rafael’s shoulders. Don’t get me started on his stringing along of Ruby! The absolute only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars is because I really felt like I needed a bit more at the end. An epilogue to show Ruby and the right man in the future. Did she get her degree? Are they married? Have children or expecting? Anything more, any small glimpse into their future so that these questions were answered and the ending not feel so abrupt.

Generally speaking, I loved the book and the characters. There's a lot I forgive in fiction because it's, well, fiction and sometimes you have to accept what would be implausible in real life. However, as a person who works in an academic library, the book lost a star because of the errors in detail in chapter 12, when Raphael visits Ruby at the library. So many easy errors that could've been avoided-- I forgive the author for referring to Ruby as a librarian even when she isn't because so many people make that mistake/assumption. I can't forgive her saying rare books from the 1600s are just on the regular public shelves (they would be in special collections so people don't damage or steal them!), for Ruby's outfit (seriously, the only people I work with who wear skirts and blouses as everyday workwear are near retirement and none of the skirts are of the pencil variety; students usually wearing outfits in various degrees of casualness), and for the reference interaction that just seemed false. Having one chapter from Jesse's perspective didn't really add anything, either.
But those are picky points. I devoured the book just the same.
I just want to say that my hate for Jesse is immediate, and I feel so strongly about that point.
I don’t usually like a book where cheating is involved however I simply cannot blame Ruby Raphael is 100% better than Jesse and jesse can get in the bin. I didn’t want to put this book down to the point where I took it to the nightclub and read it when my friends went watching, which I think has a lot about the nightclub, but also a lot about this book. This was a 4.5 read for me absolutely gonna read it again. This series gets better and better with each book.

This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend the Florida Flowers series.
When I say this book captivated me from the first few chapters I just knew it was going to be a page turner / night owl read ( yes I was up until 2:00 AM to finish) !!
Ruby and Raphael are so awesome together a couple that gave me all the feels !

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and Ruby deserves so much more than what Jesse gives. Raphael is estranged from his twin brother Jesse, and he is haunted by his past. Raphael is supportive and willing to give Ruby the world, as well as challenging her. This is a well written story which has twists, secrets, revenge, surprises, intrigue, romance, family, friendships, danger, suspense, and love, which leads to a steamy addictive page turner. This is the fifth and final book in the Florida Flowers series. I have some catching up to do to read the other parts as well. This book was so well written with enjoyable characters that I finished it in one sitting because you didn't want to put it down even to eat :) Highly recommended and I will definitely be reading more from Elodie Colt.

Ruby and Jesse's relationship wasn't as stable as she had thought but when Jessie turns up unexpectedly after leaving for work abroad, its as if he turned a new leaf, what Ruby didn't know was Jesse has a twin Raphael and he'll be the man Ruby needs. Well written steamy, mistaken identity romance.

4.5* This is a very good storyline with mistaken identity, drama, chemistry, and a possible HEA. The MCs are defined and engaging. I found this book to be entertaining and enjoyable, but would have liked more from the ending.

3.5stars Another unique story from Florida Flowers. In this one, Ruby finds her happiness but with the person she least expected. I have a few mixed feelings about the whole plot. The story is one good Mexican telenovela. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ruby and Jesse’s 4 year relationship is in a slump; when Jesse has to work abroad during an important event, Ruby starts to wonder if their love is the forever kind. Imagine her surprise when her boyfriend shows up the night of the wedding (and treats her better than ever)! … or is it him?
Raphael is a nomad. He’s estranged from his twin brother (Jesse) and has a past that haunts him. When he meets someone in a bar who thinks she knows him, he goes along for the ride.
I loved this trio of character and, like most amazing series, I loved seeing all of our favorite couples from the previous books.
My only criticism is that I want more! The ending wasn’t enough and felt rushed. Give me more, Elodie!
This has been such a great series - I think it’s already time for a re-read!.
