"Mila is at the top, waiting on the landing when I ascend and though I know I have some gratitude to show Lena’s mother, right now it isn’t possible."
When Vasili heard about Chris’ invasion and how he had threatened to kill Lena, his wife, he flew into panic mode and relocated her to their former home far away from her mom. He blames his mother-in-law, Mila, for aiding Chris to escape after his attempt to murder Vasili’s entire family. He vows to find Chris himself and end his life first.
But it was too late. While he and Lena are preparing for the arrival of their baby, Chris re-emerges to continue the battle against his supposed enemies.
The bond of siblings is hard to break, but not hard enough to stop brutality against outsiders. Will Chris succeed in his vengeful quest against Vasili and Lena? Find out the answer to this question in the fourth book of Surrendered: Mob Boss.

Dark. A complex and twisted story that I’m finding hard to follow when presented piecemeal. The two brothers, Vasili and Chris, are enemies. Chris is not dead, their mother concealed the truth from Vasili. Vasili secretly relocated his pregnant wife Lena in an attempt to protect them both. And what a relationship between Vasili and Lena - arranged, seriously steamy, but love? Can Vasili find and deal with Chris permanently? I received this book as an arc and this review is entirely voluntary.
In the last book, Vasili and Lena escape danger. Vasili takes Lena away to their former home to try to stay safe from Lena’s mother and Chris. He took her there while she was out of it. He has her restrained on the bed when she awakes to tell her where she is and she is mad! He offers her ‘something’ to make up for it. I still love the voluntary power shifting between the two. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.
