I have read the first three novels along with this one. I have found Ramsay very unique in this genre and the method of her storytelling. Her life experience shows her legitimate background within her stories, and this is utilized by her in the original methods of creating and detailing her story plot. This lends foundation to make the story very believable and most seductive to the reader, and involving the reader, me, to make it personal---and that is THE thing. As the reader, I am there and become a part of the story in a special and also most unique way. This goes for my review of her first three novels and this one as well.

Great Suspense!

Truly interesting murder mysteries with surprise endings . My only criticism is that, because I read sporadically, I sometimes became confused by the number of characters . It would help if the author didn't change from first names to last for various characters within the book also.

Three good reads- Anderson and Costello solve complex mystery crimes.

The two detectives form a working partnership and friendship while solving criminal cases. The three novels are engrossing with unexpected conclusions to knotty mysteries.

Unexpected

A really enthralling story. The characters seem like people you've met or known for years. The unexpected finale was beautifully developed to a nail biting crescendo.
I have already got the follow up. Loved it, Thanks Caro.

The first book of this series nearly put me off the whole series. Glad I started reading the second book. A very good series. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

The first three books in a series I'd never heard of before. I think my rating on each averaged out at 4.7 so I rounded up. Very compelling writing. I can't believe none of the Brit TV channels have made a series out of these. There's not much about the author online.
