Pick up a copy of this fast-paced novella and go on a crazy ride with Jade Person chasing the criminals and bringing them to justice.
Nora Kane writes fast-paced FBI thrillers and crime mysteries that keep readers turning pages late into the night. Her newest series, the Lindsay Lane FBI Thriller, begins with Not Quite the Enemy and continues with titles like Not Quite the Truth and Not Quite the Score. All of her books are available in Kindle Unlimited.
She’s also known for her long-running Margot Harris and Jade Pearson mystery series, as well as shorter trilogies. Across them all, you’ll find unexpected twists, high-stakes investigations, and heroines who never back down. If you enjoy thrillers that keep you guessing until the very last page, you’ll feel right at home in her stories.
A lifelong mystery fan inspired by Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie, Nora lives in Pennsylvania with her family. She starts her days with Bulletproof Coffee, winds down with a glass of Malbec, and finds new story ideas whenever she’s traveling or swapping tales with strangers.
She’s never met a bookstore she didn’t want to explore—or a plot twist she didn’t want to write.
Jade must face here a killer+arsonist that light houses in order to hide the murders with that fire, despite the fire extend to neighbouring houses and kill a few other peoples as well. Jade even gets a few burns of her own when trying to save some people in a house being burning. Will she, and Edna and others catch the killer ? Spoiler: yes she does :-) I like, also, that the books tend to be longer, at least compared to the previous series :-) Somehow opposite to previous series, though, each book in this current series do not apepar to have any connection between them, like they are separate episodes (in the vain of old TV series with detective Columbo and the likes)
This is a fast paced story with Jade again working as a consultant for the police on an arson/murder. I enjoy the characters in this series and the pace. It did detract from the story that the author had Jade go to an attorney’s office and be given permission to look through the attorney’s files and computer. That would NEVER happen.
I enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing. Nora Kane's characters are believable and the plot keeps me turning the pages. I am continuing on in the next book in this series. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This book was super good with lots of suspense and a surprise ending what was happening. Jade takes her job serious and finds out what happen. Thank you
