This book is an audacious act of courage. An unlinked sequel to Smokes and Whiskey, this book, like it's predecessor, is a collection of poetries, accompanied by creatively brilliant art-work and images.
One for Sorrow, is like a cross-road between a sadness that you want to let go of, and the healthy happiness calling out to you, and eventually, you, through a brittle and heart-breaking, yet experience laden ride, choose yourself over the toxicity.
As it takes you on a journey of unfiltered emotions, transcending through pain, and growth, acceptance and self-love, it hopes for you to find a healing that is heart-wrenching, yet, bitter-sweet. At times, it'll make you feel like letting go completely, and crying and yelling at the top of your lungs, but at the same time, just holding onto yourself and hugging yourself as tightly as possible. And this book will always be your friend, right by your side, never letting go of you even for a second.
This book is my way of telling you, if i could do it, so can you.

The unique title and cover of this book compelled me to read this book and I'm so glad that my decision was right. This book, adorned with a compilation of some beautiful poems in the form of narration depicts every aspect of love.
It does not revolve around a particular theme, rather it covers the hope, courage, and self-love. One can read the book multiple times and always have a 'Aha' Kind of moment understanding the depth of the poetry. No matter how difficult the situations are in our relationship, we can definitely come out of them with our self-determination and love.
The way the poems are written in this poetry collection, it looks even more beautiful with the awesome writing. Strongly recommended, if you are a poetry lover.

I haven't read such a unique printing style in any book. I totally loved it. The illustrations and pictures were added beauty to the words. Random black pages looked great. On top of it all, i loved the poems, the depth of it and how beautifully they were described.
Every poem had its own essense. You just can't read this whole book in one go. After you read one poem, you need to let it sink in. Every poem is itself like a story. I also look forward to read other books by this author. If you like poems, want to read a different but wonderful writing style, this is definitely recommended.

This book is something else. It is so different from all the poetry books I have ever read. One for Sorrow is a collection of poetry and prose on the themes of love, self-love, heartbreak, deception, consent, sexual assault, body positivity, and mental health, and many more relevant, impressive, and important themes.
Although these themes are something everyone can relate to and are relevant for everyone in one way or the other, the book feels highly personal and intimate and it feels like a gift from the author to the readers, like she has laid her soul bare for the readers to see and feel.
The poetry style is somewhat similar to Amanda Lovelace and the presentation is unlike any other book. This book is a piece of art, with its big and beautiful illustrations and black and white photographs. The book is a treat for your eyes, your heart, your mind and your soul.
I was immersed in this book and finished reading it in no time. It is beautiful, it is hauntingly beautiful. It will make you emotional, it will make you feel the pain and it will show you the healing journey, it has beauty and it has angst. It is a wholesome poetry collection that every poetry lover will love devouring.

Emotions are known to have the ability of either getting in our way or getting us on the way and hence, they are touted to be the enemy of humans, but only if we give into them and lose ourselves completely.
However, if we find that right balance wherein we don’t let our emotions or feelings to overpower our consciousness, we might have some chance to be able to control or dictate them.
In the book, ‘One for Sorrow’ by Tejaswini Divya Naik, we see how the author has attempted to bring forth a collection of poems that are bound to help readers create a connect and release all their bottled emotions.
No matter how much we try to prove otherwise, we cannot control how we feel, and therefore it is something which we often cannot stop from coming or exploding. In such regards, the poems from the book teach us how we should rather learn to embrace them, instead of fighting them.
