Artist of Love: The Modern Woman's Guidebook To Unleashing Her Creativity, Deepening Her Relationships, And Becoming The Leading Actor in Her Own Life

Rate this book
All women are artists. Their relationships are their songs, their stages, and their canvases. Their natural feminine energy yearns to embody every relationship they have, especially romantic relationships, through artistic expression.

But as a woman, do you actually feel like an artist in your relationships? Do you feel free and excited to express yourself fully, create excitement with your partner, and show up in the world with creativity and passion? Do you feel like the leading actor in your own story?

Or do you feel like you're living in a box? Do you feel trapped by society's definitions of femininity that tell you exactly how to dress, behave, act and exist? Are you stuck in boring, drab partnerships where making love feels like one more chore on the to-do list? Do you see phrases like "natural feminine energy" and "artistic expression" and think "who, me?"

Within every woman is an unbridled lover who makes heads turn and hearts open through the art she creates in relationship. But learning how to "embody the feminine" shouldn't require you to behave in a certain way to connect with yourself, build a magical, fulfilling partnership, or bring your energy to the world. Your inner relationship artist is ready to be freed-whether you think of yourself as "an artist" or not!

Artist of Love offers the modern-day woman a revolutionary approach to discovering, claiming and owning all of her inherently wild, expressive and artistic sides so that she can liberate her true self in all areas of her life-but especially her love life.

I ate up the ideas in this book! Madelyn Moon has such a fresh take on feminine embodiment and polarity work, infusing in her passion for theater and acting, giving whole new meaning to the idea of working with archetypes. I’m leaving this book with lots of ideas to play with — working with stage names, turning archetypes “up” or “down”, using monologues, creating ceremonies … everything in this book felt somehow new and also like something my body already knows, which made it feel like coming home to myself.

I’m deducting a star for some typos/proofreading issues and redundancy. This book would benefit greatly from a firmer edit; it felt a little raw. That said, still extremely grateful to have experienced it, and I’ll likely return to some of these chapters.

Super interesting take on polarity teachings and feminine embodiment - really enjoyed this! I love how Madelyn incorporates acting and improv in her approach, really refreshing. The writing style was great, too. Overall enjoyable read with some nice practices, too.

A must-read for anyone whose tired of the same patterns. Whether you’re in a long term relationship and wanting to create something new, or if you’re single and looking to start from scratch. Learning to bring art into relationships in a loving way is a challenge, but one of the most worth-while challenges I’ve had in a long time.
