Yogini Magic: The Sorcery, Enchantment and Witchcraft of the Divine Feminine

Rate this book
What are the Yoginis? Some say they are witch-like Tantrik goddesses that reign over magic, sorcery, enchantments and yoga. Are they human? Supernatural? Divine? Their protean quality is certainly in keeping with their powers of shape-shifting, enchantment and illusion.

For the sincere practitioner, they can provide great boons of wealth and pleasure… But it will not go well for the fool—the Yoginis will tear off his head and drink his blood. Yogini Magic teaches you how to approach the Yoginis and work with them…to your benefit.

Missing the Indestructible Yogini

Don't know why, but the Indestructible Yogini (Vajrayogini) is conspicuously lacking. Vajrayogini is the Mother of all Yoginis.
The author has a good heart and wishes the best for the reader ; reason for giving 2 stars. But needs more enlightenment, as all such high-level topics require such high level of self-realization.
In any case, this with a fully qualified Guru who provides a "firewall of discernment" can still detect the pure goodness of this fellow, who in spite of not having the necessary attainments required for sharing this high-level knowledge, he at least has the effervescence, enthusiasm and good will to at least introduce us to the Yoginis, so we may then do our homework under a qualified Vajra Master (there are several for choosing, so we won't give the name of ours here).
We will be on the look for future works of this promissing young fellow, and we are sure there will be polished improved versions of this work, as well as tenascendental works related to Vajra Yogini. OM

In "Yogini Magic" Peters gives a clear, short, and to the point description of the history and methods of working with these tricky spirits and goddesses of the South Asian tantric tradition. I especially enjoyed the description of his personal journey into their world and experiences with them. Peters' style of writing is fun, easy to understand, and lacks all elitism and needless convolusion sometimes encountered within the modern esoteric milieu.

This is not an academic dissertation, but a working manual, and functions well as that. Included are many methods of coming into a personal contact with the Yoginis, and how to nurture and develop it. I would recommend "Yogini Magic" to anyone interested in combining Western magic with South Asian practices.
