She's addictive, all consuming, and I will keep her safe... no matter the cost.
I had to leave the place I called home to create distance from the memories and the pain that consumed every corner of my existence. Desperate to escape my impending defeat into complete darkness, I chose to call Boston home, accepting a new position - protection detail for a wealthy coffee import mogul with a tendency for trouble.
That brought me to Gillian Logan - a constant ray of light that personifies sunshine. But when I'm forced to protect her, as the things we thought we knew crumble around us, my walls fall and I let her in, opening myself up to potential heartbreak once again.
I'm drawn to her warmth, compassion, her intelligence....simply her.
It would be easy to ignore my growing attraction if we weren’t living and working under the same roof.
If we didn't have to interact on a daily basis.
If I could avoid gazing at the curve of her neck or smelling the scent of roses that follow her everywhere, or feeling the generosity of her spirit.
Now that I’m dancing through fire with the devil once again, will I be able to prevent the universe from gaining another angel and robbing me of mine?

This was a beautiful story of finding love again after heartache. Jason was just existing and not really living after the loss of his wife and daughter. When the opportunity for change presents itself, Jason doesn't hesitate leaving London for the US.
After accepting a job as Head of Security for coffee heir Vivian Chertok, Jason crosses paths with Vivian's House Manager Gillian.
Gillian took her job seriously and left nothing to chance which is why her and Jason didn't gel well at first but the more time they spent together the more barriers were torn down between the two.
When Gillian's life is in danger Jason will stop at nothing to save the woman who gave him a sense of purpose and a reason to live again.
Gillian is Ms Vivian Chertok of Chertok Coffee’s, house keeper. She keeps her fed, makes sure all the jobs around the house are done and very rarely gets to go to see her dad and sister as she lives at Ms Chertok home, much to her sisters annoyance. She reckons she’s overworked and her boss isn’t too nice to her. Gillian is happy enough as she doesn’t have other commitments. She arrived back one early morning to a strange man in the house, he turns out to be Jason Thorne. Employed to keep Ms Chertok’s protection detail and keep a watch over the estate. He also takes on another man to help him with security. But Vivian starts to show her true colours and there’s trouble ahead. Gillian sticks by Jason when it counts. But Jason has a past that Gillian will learn about and when it comes to it, will Jason let her into his heart.
There was an electric feeling between Jason and Gillian from the get go, you could feel it in the way they reacted to each other. A mention of the characters from the first book are in the first chapter although it doesn’t give any story away if you have decided to read this one as a stand-alone. The dialogue showed Jason was respectful to others and I like how he is a private person and is quite an intense person. Take a read, best to read Double Exposure first before this one although they can be read as standalone books.
When life broke you, can you come back out on top? Jason lost his wife and child, and now he gets an opportunity to start over across the ocean. A chance he grabs with both hands. As the head of security, he meets Gillian, house manager for Vivian Chertok. She could be the one to make him believe in starting over after loss… From the moment they met, the spark was there, but neither gave in. The more time they spent together, the closer they get. And when there is danger around the corner, Jason will make sure Gillian is safe. Guardian Angel is a grumpy/sunshine, bodyguard romance, with a slow burn. Jason has been through so much in his life, I was happy to see eventually he was open to new things in life, he was trying to move forward. But it all comes with a lot of emotions. Definitely a must read.
I went through every emotion possible while reading this book. This Grumpy/Sunshine will have you crying and smiling the entire time.
I adored every single part of this. Gillian and Jason will have you so emotionally attached to their journey. Gillian is such a kind and caring person. Her gentle nature is so infectious. Jason is fiercely loyal and protective. I love how you could immediately sense their attraction.
The nod to Disney princesses and romance classics was a wonderful touch.
Absolutely stunning!!!! I’m so thankful to Give Me Books Promotions, Ariana Rose and Emma Nicole for sending me an ARC.
Not sure how I feel about this one. I wanted to like it, but the dead wife trope can either be done right or wrong. This did not feel satisfying, and I didn’t like how he still wore his ring from his marriage with his first wife until the very end. It didn’t sit right with me. I want the heroine to feel special, and this was not accomplished in this book.

Guardian Angel by Ariana Rose and Emma Nichole is the story of Gillian Logan and Jason Thorne. Gillian is the live in house keeper/manger for the very well off Vivian Chertok. Jason as come to the USA to take the job as Ms. Chertok head security personal. This has Gillian and Jason working closely together and starts their story. Enjoyed this book and was happy to see the characters from Double Exposure to make an appearance.
Guardian Angel sent me through all the emotions while I read it. Instantly, I wanted to know everything about Jason - why he was so willing to leave home for an assignment in the USA, what memories was he running from? I loved the apperance of Tristan and Nora so early in the book - it's always like seeing old friends when characters you know pop up. Instantly, I felt as if I knew that Jason was honorable and it was the opposite feeling of his employer, Vivian. When Jason accepts the job as the head of her secruity and he meets the live-in house manager, Gillian, you know that they're going to have an intense, and hopefully steamy, conntection right away. I was not disaapointed. This story was full of emotions, chemistry, and danager.
Thank you to Give Me Books Promotion, Ariana Rose and Emma Nichole for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
If you love a slow burn... If you love a British bodyguard... If you love all things grumpy and sunshine.. This novel coming in April 2023 is for you!!!
I loved this book so much! Learning about Gillian and Jason Thorne. Ugh. I am a sucker for a British and security field. That protector with a past. Love love love!
loved this grumpy/sunshine, romantic suspense story
Guardian Angel is the newest book for Rose and Nichole. It is a standalone, but if you want to catch up on Tristan and Nora who are mentioned in this book you should read the interconnected book Double Exposure. If you love a good angsty romantic suspense, workplace, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, slow burn, protector vibe romance with a touch of slight mafia/ cartel undertone this is the book for you. In this story we get introduced to Jason Thorne. A broody alpha male, ex military, now bodyguard who is a fierce protector of those he loves, but has lost himself along the way. To say that he is running from his past, the demons and darkness that have a hold on him is a true understatement. Gillian is the ray of light that shines the brightest when she is taking care of those she loves. She’s smart, sweet, sassy and has her hands full with her cutthroat boss Vivian.. We fast forward to Jason and Gillian working together, trying to fight the feelings, their instant connection, while trying to navigate through the hurdles that have been thrown their way. They can read each other so well while silently being what the other needs. They push each other out of their comfort zones. Then the plot twist comes in, the monopoly, manipulations, lies, deceptions, hidden truths and suspense that are thrown in make this book a page turner. Rose and Nichole are playing a game of chess with us, and we have no idea where the king and queen will fall. Loved seeing Nora and Tristan make appearances through out the whole book. I also love the trajectory of these two characters, and the ending was a chefs kiss. Excellent read!
This was an exhilarating read. Wow, left me breathless at times due to all the suspense. My 1st book by this Author and it was written very well. It was very entertaining and kept me on the edge. Gillian is a wonderful woman that was full of love and loves to make others happy. She was head house manager for a rich lady called Vivian. She is also a divorcee. This same Vivian needs security as she is making more business deals. This is where Jason comes in. After his life has been turned upside down he decides to move to US for a private security job. Jason and Gillian's attraction is instant but Jason can't love again and comes across grumpy. But Gillian is all sunshine and she can't stop but infiltrate his darkness. Only problem is as each days go by Jason is getting suspicion of his client. Things don't add up. Then Gillian over hears things and her life is in danger. Let me tell you Vivian makes Cruella De Ville look nice. It was unusual but actually liked get little snippets of Vivian's inner thoughts ever now and then. Now Jason needs to protect those he loves, he can't lose his love again. This book covered loss really well, it wasn't easy. Every thought, every action was written so well. It showed slow progress but how he overcame it slowly was brilliant. This book had Suspense, twists and turns, lies, vindictive villain, loss, grief, family, friends, Love and spice. If you like thrilling crime drama with a love story this is a good one.
Jason leaves his home across the pond to take a job in America as head of security for the wealthy Vivian, and it's safe to say he has that protective gene going on. Gillian is the live in house manager for Vivian, and she's the kindest person & may be just what the doctor ordered for Jason. I could feel the pull between these two after they met, and yet, there's also a real slow burn aspect as well despite the fact that they have chemistry going on in spades, but also remember he's the head of security for a reason so it's not all romance. I was so drawn in to this story that it was easy for me to read it in one sitting. I've mentioned the chemistry, but there's also a ton of emotion in the pages with that awesome kicker of suspense as well so you don't want to pass it up. I would love to say more but I don't want to give anything away so I'll just end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!
Guardian Angel is a multi POV story with a grumpy/sunshine, bodyguard, and employee troupe. The book naturally flows as the two main characters Jason and Gillian begin working together at the home of a coffee CEO. Him being the private security and her being the housekeeper. Their attraction to one another is instant, but both being professionals they don’t pounce on one another, which I liked. They form a friendship and as that grows so does their need for each other. When danger presents itself neither one can go without the other.
Jason spoke like an English gentleman and treated Gillian as such. Gillian was a sweetheart, but showed up with a backbone when it mattered the most.
The story is a standalone, however characters are featured from Double Exposure by the same authors. This story doesn’t go into great detail on Tristan and Nora’s backstory, so it doesn’t give away the plot of their book.
Gillian is a kind and caring ray of sunshine, and she is the live-in housekeeper /manager for the wealthy Vivian, and Jason is loyal and grumpy, and he is hired as head of personal security. There is an instant attraction between Jason and Gillian when the first cross paths, and the chemistry is sizzling and undeniable. This is a well written story which family, friendships, loyalty, emotions, danger, intrigue, and love, which leads to a steamy and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Get ready for one emotional journey is this beautifully written story about finding love after loss. Gillian and Jason had a connection that just couldn't be denied. I loved the two of them together. This is an entertaining read with suspense, twists and turns and plenty of spice.
