Sixteen-year-old Ashling Shields is living like she’s already dead. After surviving a horrific ordeal two years earlier, she feels more like a ghost than a girl. She's being pulled towards the other side, and every day it's getting harder to resist.
But when a chance encounter with a notorious rock band goes awry, she’s pulled away from the edge of the abyss into a world she never even knew existed. A world of supernatural enchantments and secrets deep in the dark forest. A world of fallen angels and seductive vampires, faerie knights and stories sprung to life.
Ashling must unravel the mystery of her past and an old family legend before the dark force hunting her catches up. It's a second chance to follow her dreams... if her nightmares don't kill her first.

I personally really liked this book. It was realistic with a bit of paranormal touch. My favourite character Felix, even though he seems to have a cold and dark personality. I both like and dislike the fact that the author doesn't reveals everything about the past of the FABLE members and Ashling and who or what exactly are they? Throughout the book, I can somehow connect with Ashling. I hate the fact that Snow left the book at a cliffhanger leaving me alone to deal with a sea questions.
I was among the first readers of this series back when it was F.A.B.L.E. I quickly became of a fan of Saskia's writing when I found her on Wattpad, and followed her progress eagerly. I was so sad one day, when I woke up and saw a notification that Saskia had updated, but her profile and stories were no longer anywhere to be found. Every so often, I'll remember her series, and I'll look around on every writing site I could think of, hoping she would repost on one and continue the series. I've looked on Amazon probably a couple hundred times, and by some unfortunate luck, I could never find it. I looked so many times, hoping she would follow through on her dreams of becoming a published writer. I finally found it though. I'm so excited to get back into the series, and I really hope she'll continue it beyond what it is now. I never even got to read the ending of Lullaby, and now I'll finally get to. Extremely belated though it may be, congrats Saskia on getting your serie published just like you always wanted!
Would be five stars if I didn’t find missing words or spelling errors that got missed when published, but overall kept me hooked until the end. I really liked this book. I read this book a long time ago on Wattpad and thought to read it again before I read the next book: Lullaby. Looking forward to getting to know more about Ashling, Kitty, and the boys in the next book while also having all the events tie together to paint a picture. This would look cool as a motion picture or clip.
I like this book, the writing style is good and the story interesting, but it could've read like any Young Adult, so far there has been no paranormal activity. I'm sure it's coming in the second book, I guess my only criticism is that I would have like the supernatural storyline earlier
