The first book in this series of books honestly seen me through lock down. When life was down and nothing helped. THIS was my biggest highlight as the escapism was pure perfection.
So when the amazing Andy Lee Barnes released book 2 I was so on it. But could it be as good? Surely not, as the first is hands down one of my favourite books ever. Yet, this was every bit as good, if not more. You have no idea how much I am looking forward to the next in this series. Also weird personal fact, I got COVID for the first time when reading it. So guess what got me through that 🤗
What made me initially check this series was, some mentioned it was a little like the theme of Sarah J Maas. I know there are others out there, like me, that would see this written in reviews, and it would be enough to need to check a book out, so I’m putting this in here too. Honestly as much as I love Sarah’s work, Andy’s is better. Her writing style is so compelling, you will struggle to put this down. Little warning, like book 1, this is darker yet, beautiful at the same time. It’s packed with action and there is honestly never a dull moment.
Saph is a true Alpha female! She is no damsel, and has been honing her fighting skills from a young age. If you read book one, you know she has a little more juice to go with her already honed skills. She gets to use this juice, in this book and it will blow you away.
I dont want to say too much in fear of spoilers, as you guessed it, another epic ending that makes you cry out for more. In fact I know for sure I will be re reading it all again very soon.

The first book in this series of books honestly was the best book I’ve read this year! So when I finished book 1 the first thing I did was check to see if book 2 had been released and boy did I scream when I saw it had been! I immediately grabbed book 2 and started immersing myself in this world. Like book 1, this is darker and extremely violent yet, strangely beautiful at the same time. It’s packed with action and I can honestly say it will grip you from start to finish.
Now going into the book I had to admit my worry that book 2 would not be as good and would be a let down, but let me assure you now it was not a letdown and I can’t decide which book I liked more! And trust me when I say you have zero clue on how much I am looking forward to book 3 in this series. Enough that I was tempted to contact the author and beg for an ARC!

My god I adored this book as much as the first one. Can I also just say Andy knows how to write incredible endings. Every book I’ve read of hers has such a good ending! It leaves me wanting more. Like, I need book 3 yesterday haha
Saph is amazing. She is such a badass and my fav FMC ever! The way she presents herself and fights is just admirable.
Andy is phenomenal at writing fighting scenes btw. They are so brutal and graphic and you can visualise it all happening right in front of you. Andy’s graphic scenes in all her books are probably my favourites ever written. She’s just a pro at it.
I also need to add that Andy writes shocks and twists like no other. You think you know what’s guna happen and something completely different pops up. It’s insane. Also, the ideas that Saph comes up with are all so brilliant. She’s a mastermind!
I’m so damn excited to see what happens in book 3. It’s going to be insane!

This book was just as good as the first , it just keeps you hooked. Even though Saph can come across a little winy at times it comes from a place of deep trauma and longing so it doesn’t annoy me too much. Fallon its just ultimate book boyfriend material you cant help but love him and his love for Saph, what I’m struggling with is Karson because clearly he’s her mate so how is that going to work!!!! I don’t think i can handle the heartbreak csnt wait til book 3 😁😁😁😁

I read book 1 and 2 wishing 3 days. It is an amazing series that had me bawling my eyes out, laughing, choking up. There is everything and more in this book Andy Lee has some magic working because I felt so captivated by these books, I feel like an addict waiting for the next book. Pehomenal read!
This book kept me engaged from start to finish. I’m talking edge of your chair, loose all of your sleep, end up with no nails kind of read. I absolutely can not wait to read the next book! The authors ability to draw me into the very world she created is with out doubt a skill rivaled by no other.

Really wanted to like this, as i did enjoy the first book. But the characters are very difficult to like / be invested in and i just couldn’t get into the story.
And the continued set up for what i THINK is an obvious love triangle for the next book annoyed me more than i thought it would. Won’t be continuing this series.

That’s the sound of me falling into a book slump after reading the first two books in this series - I can count the number of things I’d change about these books on one hand. The FMC was an instant favorite and she keeps getting better. The world is dark, twisty and full of characters that reflect it. I’m in love. Please give us book 3. We believe in you.

If there isn’t a third book then this rating will remain. I am so lost. This book left me unfinished. We never get the revenge for the one 14 year old girl. Torren never learns his father is an ass. We don’t get to see if ervan makes it as a vampire. I’m highly disappointed if this is where it ends.

A little too much explanation from the first book but nice for those that jumped to the second without realizing there was a book 1.

These 2 books are not what I usually read, but I still had to finish them. I do feel it left off with a lot that I still wanted to know about. I really think I needed a third book, so many questions left not answered, and so many things left not told.

There are some twists here that I’m really enjoying. I’m definitely looking forward to ready book 3. Fast read but satisfying at the same time. Author did a fantastic job getting me invested into the characters.

Book 2 is full of action, revelations and betrayal. It fully delivers in bringing Saphs story and her relationships to a new height and leaves you wanting for book 3 as soon as possible.
