Interview and Interrogation for Criminal Justice

Rate this book
This book will convey a fundamental understanding of the lawful process involved in conducting interviews and interrogations in criminal justice. The content is presented in an academic environment for beginning students, recruit-level officers, as well as new security personnel. There are other advanced courses available for police agencies that would be appropriate for new detectives and investigators who are routinely handling major felonies. This book is divided into ten discreet sections. Each has a robust reading assignment (in the addendum) that can serve as a lecture or discussion topic. For shorter courses, instructors may assign sections as appropriate. For longer programs or full-semester courses, you may wish to alternate between using a chapter and then the chapter reading assignment, which will provide potential 20 class sessions. There is a section entitled LAB TIME in each section. LAB TIME has discussion questions, an activity, and a reading assignment. The LAB TIME in each of the 10 chapters provides suggestions for further learning opportunities. For CT2learn.com subscribers there are ancillary material available including eLessons, PowerPoints and quizzes for each section.
