Bunny’s on the run from something, following a strict set of rules to save up enough money for art school as she stays hidden from the past. She stumbles across a small town and takes the first job she finds in a place she never imagined herself working– the strip club owned by the local motorcycle club. What happens when the shy new girl meets the tattoo artist?

Flame’s always been a love ‘em and leave ‘em type of guy. But as soon as he lays eyes on the new girl in town, he offers her a ride home on the back of his bike. What makes this girl so special that he keeps letting his defenses down, one by one? Bunny is full of surprises, and when he finds out she’s also an artist, all bets are off as he takes her under his wing to teach her the ways of tattooing.

Can Flame survive working alongside Bunny every day, or will he stop at nothing to get her beneath him?

Does Bunny take off for the hills at the first sign of trouble, or can Flame be the one who helps her set down roots in a place that finally feels like home?

4.5 stars.
This was really entertaining, but also pretty emotional.
I really enjoyed how the plot played out. The author slowly revealed more and more from Bunny’s past as she got closer to Flame. I liked it, it created a little mystery around it. And when things went to shit, it made everything more climactic.

I loved how all the girls sort of rallied together and supported each other. A lot of times, in a strip club setting, there’s this catty behavior that the girls have towards each other, and I hate that shit. There wasn’t really any of that in this book, and I really appreciated it.
There was a couple times where misunderstandings happened, but Flame and Bunny ended up talking things out and it was resolved and forgotten very quickly.

The sex was hot.
The plot was dangerous and entertaining.
If you have any triggers or sensitivities around abuse, SA, religious cults, anything like that, I’d say be careful, or even just skip this. There’s no real details on page, but things are talked about or hinted at, and the last little action scene was pretty violent and involved SA and kidnapping. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just something to be aware of I think.

Overall, I really liked it.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel, but it turned out really good, I think.
I’m not sure I’ll read the next book, just because I know who it’s about and I’m not sure I’m ready for something I know is gonna be so angsty and harrowing.
I’ll be checking in with this author from now on though. I really enjoyed her writing in this book.

I am not completely sold on this book, and it took me longer to read than usual. It’s because I had to put it down often; but on a positive note, I always picked it back up to continue reading. The many errors in the book hurt the story. Without them, this would have been a 3+ star rated book, I think. I did not care for the main characters. They did not seem real to me. Some of the other relationships in the book are odd. But some of the secondary characters are written very well and remain in my mind longer than the main characters.

Bunny is running away. She left a terrible home environment at fifteen and has been on her own for five years, so she is twenty when the book begins. That is very young, although surviving on her own for five years would have aged her considerably…except, not in this book. Her character is more like a fifteen-year-old; her naiveté is off the charts, not what I’d expect from someone living hand-to-mouth for the last five years, never staying anywhere longer than six months.

Flame is a tattoo artist and member of the Desert Outlaws MC. He is thirty, ten years – and a lot of living – older than Bunny. This is a common trope in the MC genre of romance, older man-younger woman, and it follows the standard concepts. Flame is a dominant alpha male who tones himself down for love of a good woman. Bunny is helpless for all her posturing and trying to be otherwise. The writer undermines Bunny’s self-sufficiency with her silly behaviors (e.g., walking at night in a bad neighborhood because she’s independent) and need to be taken care of. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that need, but Bunny doesn't like to think she needs anyone. For much of the book, Bunny is passive. Flame seems passive much of the time, too. Their relationship seemed unreal, but it could be that it’s just me becoming jaded by the unoriginal romance memes that proliferate our genre.

Bunny irritated the dickens out of me when she took on all the responsibility for others’ behaviors. It happened so often that I wanted to drop kick Bunny’s character off the roof. At one point, she goes on and on with, “This is my fault,” and “It’s my fault,” followed by “Everything about this is my fault.” It was too much, all the time, entirely too much. I don’t want to say more because it would definitely be a spoiler, but it is absolutely annoying.

At one point, Bunny decides that she will take on the bad guys on her own, since everything is all her fault anyway. This is part of her naiveté, to put it kindly. Or stupidity if we’re being less kind. Her behavior is not brave because it ultimately would put others in danger. She has a hard time thinking beyond the short term. Immediate gratification kind of rules her life.

There’s also a very odd exchange that shows a certain lack of caring from Bunny for a friend. I don’t want to introduce a spoiler, so I’m going to hide the name, but this is what Bunny says about her own “heroic” action: “He only raped (name withheld), but I stopped him.” Stopped him from raping her (Bunny), but what about her friend? The man raped her very good friend. She goes on talking to a doctor, “…he only choked me a few times and punched me. But I feel fine, my throat hurts a little. Nothing compared to my ankles.” Ah…hello…???? This is the first that we are told Bunny’s friend was raped and still Bunny goes on and on about herself. I think this isn’t Bunny’s character, to be so cold about her friend; I think it’s poor word choices by the writer.

Bunny dancing naked seems to be a very big deal to Flame, and we can certainly understand that! But Bunny seems ambivalent about it as she discusses it with the other dancers and thinks about it when she’s alone. However, there is a disconnect in the book regarding her being naked and it jars, and absolutely it brings the reader right out of the story. Mia thinks of it as “the feeling of empowerment,” but wonders about doing it “on a stage naked with a hundred people watching.” She tells Lyric, “I can’t even imagine being fully naked in front of people.” Lyric tells her it’s for “like one minute.” Ghost (the MC manager of the strip club) is supportive of her dancing naked. Later, Flame tells her, “Bunny, you have to be naked on that fu**ing stage.” And she answers, “I’m well aware of that, Flame.” I mention these conversations and thoughts because later in the book Bunny tells herself, “I never thought about the fact that I will actually have to be naked” and then tells Flame the same thing, “I didn’t even think about the fact that I’d have to get naked.” These last two statements are patently untrue. She did think about it…a lot. This naked dancing issue makes Bunny seem disingenuous or perhaps a liar.

Another disconnect occurs when Bunny reveals that “When I first left home, I went to a clinic and got an IUD put in.” The writer spends a good bit of time trying to convince us that this is a distinct possibility because it was a “…free clinic, one of those places that does abortions and stuff….” Ah, no. Free clinics are staffed by as many ethical medical personnel as non-free clinics. It is unethical to implant an IUD into a 15-year-old’s uterus for a LOT of reasons. She’s too young, never been pregnant, and has never had sex. An IUD has some risky side effects for one so young…and…it is a less effective form of birth control in a small uterus (a pre-baby growing uterus). Mia would have to have that IUD checked regularly, as well as checking for its presence herself. I realize the writer is looking for an easy way for Flame and Mia to have unprotected sex, but this isn’t it.

The errors are numerous and pull at the reader’s attention. We’re popped out of the book, if only for moments, to react and then try to ignore the mistakes. Here are some examples:
 The sit/set rules of grammar are lost on this writer. It’s irksome, but fine when a character is speaking, and it grates in the narration.
“…the shadowed building…sitting in the middle of the bright lights….” Animate objects (like people and pets) sit; inanimate objects (like books and buildings) set. This should read, “…the shadowed building…setting in the middle….”
 And again: “An all-white door sits at the end of the hall….” The door is an inanimate object, so it sets. This should read, “An all-white door sets at the end of the hall….”
 And again: “…a small dining table sits straight ahead….” The inanimate table sets, as in, “…a small dining table sets straight ahead….”
 And again: “…the pink standing mixer sitting atop the counter.” The inanimate mixer sets, as in, “…the pink standing mixer setting atop the counter.”
 And (oh, sigh) again: “…Flame sits our food down on the table.” That should be, “…Flame sets our food on the table.” The use of double prepositions (“down” and “on”) is also unnecessary.
 One more example that is actually a thoughtful one: “With the sun sitting right behind him….” Here, the writer wouldn’t want to use “setting” because it’s midday and the sun is not setting. But “sitting” is unnecessary, so why use it? The sentence could read, “With the sun right behind him….” We understand that the sun is illuminating him because it is at his back.
These sit/set mistakes happen constantly and are a source of irritation. I can ignore one or two, but here, they occur over and over. There are more examples, but these are plenty enough.
 “…to anyone that wants to look..” There are two things going on here. First, there are two periods at the end of the sentence where only one is needed. Secondly (and this is fascinating only to those of us who love languages and their constant cycles of change), the use of “that” when referring to people is incorrect according to most style guides. The Chicago Manual of Style states that “who” is used for people and animals; “that” is for objects only. The AP (and APA) Style refine this a bit by saying that “who” should be used only for people and animals with names. Interesting, yeah? So, what’s a writer to do? When authorities cannot agree, I fall back on what I was taught by Mrs. Sanders and Mr. Grant in junior high school; they would agree with the Chicago Manual of Style. So, this might be better written, “…to anyone who wants to look.” But…not necessarily. It isn’t an error (as is the use of double periods at the end of a sentence), but it is an interesting point to ponder. If you love languages, that is.
 “I’m so lost in thought that realize we’ve already arrived at the diner.” Do the thoughts themselves realize something? Do both Flame and Mia realize they’ve arrived, or is it just Mia? We don’t know. The sentence is unclear and needs a helpful pronoun.
 “I had briefly went over what a tattoo apprenticeship was like….” The writer is using past perfect tense but uses the wrong verb form. It should read, “I had briefly gone over what a tattoo apprenticeship was like….”
 “Preston, the owner of the other large club near, us had a lot to say about us ‘poaching on his territory’.” The comma is misplaced and makes the sentence very odd, as in, “…us had a lot to say,” which is…well…odd. The correct punctuation is: “Preston, the owner of the other large club near us, had a lot to say about us ‘poaching on his territory’.”
 “When I stepped through my apartment door and locked it behind me, I let out the breath I had the entire way home.” I don’t believe Mia had just one breath while walking home. I think the writer means that Mia held her breath, like this, perhaps: “…I let out the breath I had been holding the entire way home.” It’s an exaggeration, of course, but one we understand.
 “She leaves the kitchen, giving Lyric and I some space….” A subject pronoun (“I”) is used incorrectly as an object pronoun. This sentence should read, “…giving Lyric and me some space….”
 “From the host stand, we hear, a pair of loud voices and turn our heads.” By placing “we hear” between commas, the narrator is saying that this may not be true, just something that was heard. I think the writer means, “From the host stand we hear a pair of loud voices and turn our heads.” The commas are superfluous and distracting.
 “…places the thick stoge between his lips….” There’s no such word (in English, anyway) as “stoge.” Spellchecking software yells at you when you type it, so it’s a tough typographical error to make. The writer is referring to a type of cigar, so it should read, “…places the thick stogie between his lips….”
 “…interrupting Flame’s and I’s private conversation.” Oh, come on! “I’s private conversation?” Really? No. That’s a subject pronoun used – again, incorrectly – as an object pronoun. This should read, “…interrupting Flame’s and my private conversation.”
 “His eyes instantly switch total satisfaction to full blown fear.” We’re missing a preposition: “…instantly switch from total satisfaction….”
 “The rest of us have drank way too much to drive.” The writer is using present perfect tense and again uses the wrong verb form. It should read, “The rest of us have drunk way too much to drive.”
 “And over my dead body is the only time I hear it from you going to be when you’re pointing a gun at me.” What does this sentence even mean?

A few errors are to be expected these days. The ones I’ve listed here are not all of them. There are so many that they interrupt the flow of the story and that makes for an unpleasant reading experience. The story follows the typical romance model and should work. I think the errors have a strongly negative impact on the book.

I rated this book 2 stars. Without all the errors/stoppers, this could have been a 3- or 3.5-star book easily. An editor should have caught the inconsistencies and a proofreader should have caught the typos and bad grammar that proliferate. I hope Ms. James continues writing, because it feels as if her style is still developing, and I think it could become really good. I would vastly appreciate her reading some handbooks on style that include grammatical mistakes to avoid. I liked the title of this book, Flame’s Touch. It takes on multiple meanings and is an ideal choice for the title. So many books leave me wondering where the titles came from, but here, it is absolutely perfect.

Bunny is on the run and has gone to great lengths not to be found. She ends up working at a strip club and although not hired as a stripper catches the eye of Flame and is talked into working a couple of the acts. Flame can't stay away from Bunny and when the MC finds out about her talent in artistry, she is taken on as an intern at the Tattoo parlor. Bunny is fighting her feelings for Flame and Flame is wondering what Bunny is running from. When her past collides will she have to run again?

There were a lot of things I liked about this book but a couple that scratched my head. Bunny was at times very innocent and others smart as a whip so there was some confusion on my part. Flame is alpha male and is trying to stay away but at the same time keep her close. Would definitely check out more in thseries.

Awesome debut!!

Man, this is when I really hate finding a first-time author - when there’s nothing else to dive into immediately after I’m done!! Congratulations Bailee James on an excellent debut. This has *most* of what I want in an MC romance - a self-aware Alpha male, and a leading woman who might have a few challenges to face down but doesn’t waste too much time getting what she wants. Fantastic romance between Bunny and Flame - 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for sure, even if I wish it could have heated up a little sooner. There were a few loose plot threads, mostly with Bunny’s past; the MC element was very secondary, so we don’t really get a glimpse of a real one-percenter MC; I loved being introduced to the other characters sure to come, but I was also left with tons of unanswered questions about what’s coming next. I didn’t love having so many Easter eggs in the epilogues related to characters whose stories are yet to come - mostly because I’ll be waiting who knows how long to get answers! And if I don’t get a Ghost/Lyric story, I might cry - not enough IR love stories in the MCverse for my taste. But I’m following Bailee James and hope the momentum continues!

This was actually pretty good.

I don't have anything to point out that I didn't like about it.
I liked the characters. I liked the story.

I picked it up last night intending to read the sample which then turned into a few chapters but then that switched to 'I'll read to the halfway point', which then changed to 'I'll read until Bunny and Flame stop being idiots.'

Basically read until I passed out. Woke up, and then finished the book.
I loved that there wasn't a heavy focus on girl drama that we typically see in MC romances... you know where the club girls get territorial over the guy and it's a major plot point in the book.
There was a wee smidge of club girl drama, but it wasn't a major point in the story.

In fact there was a lot of female solidarity. Which I loved.
We've got to have each other's backs and shit. So kudos to the author for that.

I changed my mind. There was one thing I didn't like.
Towards the end Bunny did something and the entire time I was screaming in my head at her for being a dummy.
She pulled a TSTL move that was out of character for her.

I kept wondering why she did that instead of just showing the tablet to one of the guys who were better equipped to handle the situation.
I would've been all for female empowerment and her wanting to handle situation by herself, but that wasn't what was happening.
She was martyring herself and I found that annoying.
Up until that point, Bunny showed quite a bit of self-preservation. She was smart about things and how to keep herself safe and then all of a sudden that all flies out the window.

It all worked out in the end, so it's whatever. But, yeah. That's the only thing I was a little put off by in this. Overall though, great book.

I'm terrible at finishing series that follow different couples/characters as it progresses. Something about getting attached to the original couple or something... I'm not sure.
My brain is weird.
But I am inclined to see what else this author does with this series.
For sure, I'll read anything else she releases, though.
I like her style.

Read this. You'll likely enjoy it too.
If not, then... my bad.

3 1/2 🌟

This book was just o.k. for me. I liked the first part but hated the middle part. The ending was so-so. I hated how Flame was always checking out girls and how turned on he was about her and Pebbles. So he turned me off to his character. As for her, I liked her at the beginning but hated her character later. No one is that stupid. Also, I didn't like her since she got those dreds, gross. Nothing worse than dried out, dirty looking hair. Not sexy at all. She has a respectable job as a bartender and working towards being a tattoo artist but her so call new girlfriends want her to be a Stripper, not a Dancer as this author keeps pointing out. You strip naked and do lap dances. You are a strippers plain and simple. If they told her to suck a c*ck for a extra $50 she would do it. Some stripper friends she has. If this story didn't have strippers and him checking out all the girls and just focused on her background and more detail on how she was raised it would have been a better book. Don't know if I'll read anymore from this author because we know the occupation for the next girls are from.

Great read

I really enjoyed this book.

I'm glad that it is a new series and I'm looking forward to reading the other books as they are published.

I liked the main characters but am also looking forward to learning more about the secondary characters as more stories come out.

This is a new author for me and I think she's made a great start.

I’ve got to say, I’m mightily impressed by this debut to the #mcromance genre, by author Bailee James. Flame’s Touch is an engaging and accomplished story, which introduces us to the #desertoutlawsmc.

We first meet Bunny, the FMC, seeking employment at the MC’s strip club, ‘The Castle’. The shy and guarded Bunny isn’t looking to dance, but she needs a way to make cash, and fast, so she accepts a job tending the bar. She soon finds comfort and friendship amongst the welcoming MC, and she catches the eye of Flame (Jace), the MC’s tattoo artist. And even though Bunny isn’t planning on sticking around, she can’t help but thrive amidst this unfamiliar, but irresistible sense of belonging.

Bailee has created a whole MC world and cast of characters that I immediately want to know more about. She handled the oft times uncomfortable aspects of Bunny’s past abuse with great sensitivity, and this particular storyline made for a compelling read. I’ll definitely be checking out future instalments in this series.

This is the 1st book written by Bailee James in what I hope long running series about the men of the Desert Outlaws MC, their women and their friends. Bunny is an extremely innocent and naïve woman with secrets who ends up working in a high-end strip club that Desert Outlaws MC own and operate. Flame is the owner of a tattoo shop and head tattoo artist. He meets Bunny and is immediately intrigued. Once he sees her sketches, he convinces her to apprentice as a tattoo artist with him. Slowly they begin to fall in love. Of course, life isn’t always smooth sailing and 1 of Bunny’s secrets comes to light in a devasting fashion.

Bailee has written a story with fascinating characters, and I want to learn more about each and every one of them. While this story only gives a quick glimpse at the MC itself, it’s a good intro to the cast of characters and look for forward to learning more about the MC in future books.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting such a great book as an author’s first published work. I read a lot of MC romances, a ton really, so I’ve become fairly picky and demanding about the genre. Lots of new stuff just is rehashing the same ole story lines and all of the characters look, sound, and feel the same - not this book. Bunny and Flame are lovely together and there’s definitely some burning hot chemistry. More than just a romance you enjoy the world of this MC. It was well written and I was engrossed from the first chapter. The only negatives to this story are because of my personal preferences and aren’t an issue with the book itself. I don’t really like virginal heroines, especially not ones as innocent as Bunny. I’m hoping that future female leads are significantly more worldly and fiery. I loved the secondary characters of Lyric and Pebbles. I’m also hoping that future books have more spice and aren’t so vanilla. This book constitutes a slow burn romance, and it works for this story, but I generally stay far, far away from anything slow burn (this book is such an exception). It’s truly a great read and I’ve already purchased the second book in the series.

It was good, but a few plot mistakes.

I liked Flame who is in an Mc, but I wasn’t keen on Bunny. She had a big secret and she was on the run. It’s a massive secret nearly all the way through the book, and it’s pretty obvious what it is from her childhood memories. I just wanted her to say what it was, and talk to Flame about it, but she doesn’t, and it drags on and on. Bunny is on the run when she applies for a job at a club. Bunny who has never been kissed, and is still a virgin, works at a strip club? In tiny tiny shorts? Hmmm…..

Flame is really attracted to Bunny, but she’s so inexperienced that she’s not aware of what she’s feeling for him. ( Again I didn’t understand this. As even the most inexperienced person knows when she has feelings for someone.) As Flame and Bunny get closer, she still intends to move on when six months has passed. (Again, why didn’t she tell him??? 😡😡)
As she hasn’t told anyone about what she is running from, she puts one of her friends in grave danger.

I did enjoy this book, but there were a few plot holes. Bunny who can’t bear Flame touching her intimately as she’s too shy, wants to work as a stripper!!! Yeah that really doesn’t fit her character at all. I don’t even think she could work in a strip club. There are a few more plot holes like this. It was something to read when I had insomnia.

Very slow burn. I wouldn’t really consider this much of an MC book. The club is pretty much just talked about in the background of things. You’re told it’s there and they are members yet they do no MC actions. A couple things made me eye roll. The biggest being her being a virgin, yet having an IUD that she got at fifteen. Firstly she still wouldn’t have had an intact hymen and bled when Flame took her virginity if that were the case. She would’ve had to have a procedure to cut through her hymen to get to her cervix. So not a simple in office procedure. And secondly no doctor in their right mind would give an IUD to someone that age or that hasn’t had children. The story drug a bit in spots but all in all it’s not a bad read. It kept me entertained for the most part but I never got fully engrossed into the story to the point I forgot I was reading a book.

absolutely best start for a series

I absolutely loved this book. It is beginning of wonderful career for Bailee James. I will definitely be looking forward to more books of hers. Bunny has a set of rules she follows or she wants to follow. The best laid plans don’t always go as planned. When Bunny gets a job as bartender at the Castle that was it. Flame meets Bunny and he knows there is more to her then meets the eye. I love the sisterhood the woman of this book has. They are always there for each other. I can’t wait to see what happens in the future. The brotherhood is also amazing. This story caught my attention right away and I couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book.

DNF @42%. Started off promising but I didn't end up caring enough about any of the characters to finish. It was taking a really long time for Flame and Bunny to get together. Flame had some alpha thoughts but seemed pretty passive in his actions. I could see the direction Bunny's character was going in (seemingly innocent young girl suddenly ok with doing body shots off a stripper for money, probable TSTL moments in her future involving whatever danger the MC is in and/or her past, etc.) It was all a bit too cliche and surface.

Also, Pebbles always sitting on Flame's lap in her g-string and pasties? Hey, they've been friends since childhood, so it's totally normal. Umm...no it's not.

A good read

I took a chance on a new author, and I am glad to report, it paid off.

This is a very easy read, with good characters and an interesting storyline. While there isn't major MC club drama or lots of club life details, Bunny's story is intriguing and kept me flipping pages.
Flame is a "typical" biker, who finds Bunny irresistible. The dancers and brotherhood certainly support his feelings for her, and it's sweet.
The drama around Bunny's former life seems to take forever to arrive, and while it's interesting to read how it happens, it is a bit predictable.
Not that this is bad!! It happened they way I wanted it to, and the HEA is perfect.

All in all, a good read, and an MC I would like to read more. I look forward to the next one.

It was okay

A first book from this person. Not exactly sure how to put this.

Bunny/Brenna, the way the author writes this character. Bunny leaves home at 15 years old and in 7 years of moving every 6 months, she still comes across as an extremely sheltered teenager.

Flame/Jace, MC member. He sees Bunny walking along after she gets the job at the MC's strip club as their only female bartender.

The story dragged heavily for awhile. Bunny's past comes to the present and she is forced to reveal her life before them. Drama and bullets happen, then we get their ending and epilogue.

I get that this is a new author and she's done her best. I just didn't like how the story lagged or how a few characters were.

So good

I love reading books by Bailee James, i love her writng style and her characters are just wonderful Big Burley men with hearts of gold for the right person.
Bunny is on the run, her name a nondeplume, but that doesnt matter to Flame. Ever since her met her, he cant get her out of his head and mind. she dosnt know alot about anything much but she is good at Bar tending. Flame slowly, ever so slowly courts Bunny, and Bunnys friends are always there to help her out. And to Flames delight she is so very good at been a artist, so good that he asks if she wants to become a tattoo artist?
For Bunny and Flame their story is sooo lovely, i just love how he handles her with care.

A really good story and worthwhile reading.

Flame & Bunny

What an amazing book!!! Bunny is on the run and has spent 7yrs moving every 6mths until she walks into a Strip Club iwned my the local MC looking for a job. Flame is a sexy as sin Tattoo artist and part of DOMC. He was drawn to Bunny from the first time he saw her but always felt she would run if he made his feelings known. They got closer to each other through their love if Art. Bunny has spent years not getting close to anyone but for some reason this time was different. When her past finally catches up will she be able get past it and live HEA or will the flame be snuffed out. I really loved this book and recommend if you have a love for MC Romance. Thanks Bailee for an amazing read.

Very Slow Ride…

This book was definitely a slow-burn. It took forever for the romance to become an actual romance. Bunny was immature and innocent on the run from a tortured background. Flame was your typical playboy, alpha MC member. There was nothing particularly special about either one of them, and the secondary characters weren’t much to get excited about..this was a pretty basic MC trope, and very predictable. There was overkill on the romantic angst, and I ended up skimming most of the book due to lack of interest. It had some steam once the Bunny & Flame finally became a couple, but I need a bit more grit and character development, so only an okay read for me. It will also be a one and done for me and this series.

Great start

This was a new Author for me recommend via another favourite author of mine and their recommendation didn't steer me wrong.

This book mainly focuses on the love story between flame and bunny while introducing us to the characters of the book the action doesn't really happen til over half way through the story but as said mainly, love story and a great introduction into the Authors writing skills and the new mc world my only personal criticism would be that we could do with more emphasis ISM on the clubs I felt we at points mc was the back burner of the story but I am totally in love with this new Author and cant wait for the next book

How exciting is it to read a the very first book from a brand new author! AND IT IS FANTASTIC! What a great start to not only this new series but to a fruitful, exciting beginning as an author. This is Flame and Bunny's story and is a slow burn sort of read. Bunny is naive, innocent, sheltered, shy and was recently hired at The Castle, a strip club owned by the Desert Outlaws MC. The chemistry between her and Flame is undeniable from their first meeting. These two are completely, over the top explosive! This book is very well written, the storyline flows seamlessly and the characters are incredible. I can't wait for more!

FLAME & BUNNY

These two are so good together. Love how Bunny is so shy and innocent to things but yet so open to trying to new things that is out of her comfort zone... FLAME just wow he is amazing with Bunny (Brenna). Really enjoyed their dynamic together and his tentativeness with her. Love the dynamics of the group and how close they all are and how Flame steps up when it comes to his feelings and respect he shows towards Bunny(Brenna)... So happy with chps 30-Ep2 they really pull everything together nicely without being rushed and all the details... Perfect ending ready to read Triggers know it's going be just as great too

Very sweet slow burn

I was beginning to get antsy when Flame and Bunny had barely shared a kiss when the book was over 60% complete. Instead of a physical relationship, Flame showed Bunny how much he cared for her in thoughtful deeds. He was protective of her and he had endless patience with her shy, flighty ways. He brought her out of her shell and helped build her self-confidence. Come to think of it, all of that is actually pretty hot in its own way! Of course, there were eventually some fireworks and they didn't disappoint. A detailed, very satisfying epilogue lets us know that Flame and Bunny are happy and healthy well into the future.

Loved this book

I've had this book in my KU lineup for months when it was recommended thru a book club on Facebook. Yesterday, I opened it up with no idea what I was getting in store for.

I loved the book, the attention to detail for the surroundings the author wanted me to see, and the relationship for Flame and Bunny. Unlike most insta love books, you see this couple slowly fall in love and you can feel the attraction between the two from the beginning without it feeling like they are being pushed together. I am very interested in reading the next book and seeing how the damaged Pebbles and Trigger find their happy.

Flame's Touch: Desert Outlaws is book 1 in the new Desert Outlaws MC series by a new author for me, the talented Bailee James. It was an absolutely fantastic read that had me captivated from the start. LOVED Jace & Brenna's story was very well written and full of drama, humor, danger, kidnapping, secrets, lots of first for Bunny, great characters, no cheating, no cliffhanger and amazing epilogues. This story is hands down a must read. I can't wait to read the second book, Pebbles and Trigger story.

why I love Facebook ads

This booked popped up and I won’t lie the cover had me lol shameless I know!!!

What a great find. I honestly can’t describe the feel so got. A lot of these books are just them meeting, going at it, drama then happy ever after…I don’t mind that don’t get me wrong but this gave so much more.

The supporting characters all got their little focus and I loved everyone.

I love ghost - I can’t wait for his book.

What I loved most was the epilogue. I love those and I love those books that set up future books. Winnie getting her Hea?! Yes girl!

FABULOUS START OF A NEW SERIES!

This was a FABULOUS story! There is a heartbreaking backstory, some suspense and heart wrenching scenes. I loved all of the characters, especially Bunny and all of the new friends she makes. The author did a great job of painting this new world for her readers!

This book was a recommendation by Kindle, based on books I have previously read. After reading this book, I looked up the author and found out that this was her first book ever! All I can say is WOW, BAILEE! This book was the fantastic start of your dream job!!!

Is this really a first book???

Absolutely loved this story of Bunny and Flame which does not read as a first book at all. It hits heavier on the romance side than the MC (which is my sweet spot) and has good friends, laughter, drama, and tattoos. I can only remember one odd typo so it seems the book had been professionally edited as well. Looking forward to future books in this series.

Amazing first book, must read

I don't write reviews on here normally but I cannot let this book go without a comment. It was BRILLIANT I was drawn in from the start, couldn't and wouldn't put it down. This reminded me of the first MC books I read about 10 years ago where there was actually a good story not just sex mentioned on every other page. Bailee James please keep writing, I am looking forward to your next book.
