2 stars because at least this one a woman had a job. She was an evil lawyer but take wins where you can get them ig.

Full disclosure: I have been an evangelical for 40 years.
The first book in the series was somewhat hokey. This book goes full hokey. The plot builds on the deus ex machina ending of the first book. The descriptions of evil forces do not match those in Scripture or those described by modern day witnesses. On the plus side, the descriptions of the media and court system are sadly accurate.
There are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. An example is the itinerant preacher with little money who is somehow eating in restaurants and cafes in a European capital every day. That's not plausible.
For a book set partly in France, I am appalled at the lack of research into French culture. The author has characters sharing names as soon as they meet. The French value privacy, and it's not uncommon for people to talk for hours and not reveal their name. Making fun of French food and implying that the cuisine of North Georgia is better than that of Paris is laughably ignorant. The French eat tastier and way healthier food- just ask the rest of the planet.

“We can make our own plans but God directs our path”
This book is more... More spiritual attacks, more physical attacks and more serious concerns
The Christian Church is under attack, more so than ever and we know that we win in the end; we just have a long and difficult road to hoe; where many and probably most people are blinded and deceived by their own greed and thoughts.
There is a lot of evil in this book and they are influencing the non belivers with great power in this book. I plan to start “Light of the World as soon as I can but I don’t think that Mathew fairs well in it.

Matthew and his best friend Jeremiah are taking different paths in life, trying to find themselves as well as grow their spiritual lives. Jeremiah wants to rekindle a lost love, and trek around the globe to the places Paul walked in ancient Biblical times. Matthew, however, is being spiritually attacked on all sides. The darkness is closing in on him and it's a fight for his life and those of his family. His family's church is also being attacked, and may be forced to close for good. Violence and darkness threaten the Light family, and this fast-paced thriller will is one you won't want to put down.

Can’t put it down
I am really enjoying this series. I find my self reading 6 or 7 chapters when only wanted to spend 20 minutes reading. That’s a good sign.
