Sometimes you need a reliable happily-ever-after story for the best escape, right?
Charlotte is a prima ballerina. Her best friend dies tragically, and she re-evaluates her life. She leaves her career behind to take on her best friend’s small dance studio.
Cole is recently divorced and living behind a wall of hurt. Charlotte and Cole find each other, but it’s not an easy start.
I took dance classes growing up, and I LOVED ballet. It was fun to revisit that through Charlotte’s work. I also loved both her and Cole. This is is a sweet romance filled with heart. I wanted to embrace this book in a big hug when I finished it. Give this one a go when you want to feel better than when you started. Love this story!

I loved this story full of flawed characters with good hearts that are trying to find their place in circumstances that they never foresaw. Charlotte and Cole have a rocky beginning and a somewhat difficult friendship, full of angst but also light that shines through their dark moments. They are both working through some major baggage, and it was lovely to see them come to terms and have personal revelations that impact their future, both as individuals and together. I loved their chemistry and the struggles in their relationship made their romantic moments together even more special. There is an amazing cast of family and community members that provide wisdom and support, making Harbor Pointe a wonderful small town setting perfect for healing hearts. I had tears welling at a few points in the story, something I can count on this author for- a strong connection to the characters and the emotions running through the scenes. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing novel! I have loved the Harbor Pointe series and Just Like Home is a beautiful finale to the series. (Although I really wish we didn't have to leave Harbor Pointe at all!)
Just Like Home was about two very broken people. They were broken in different ways, but needed each other to heal. Their healing was a beautiful journey to where they could both fully find love, forgiveness, and life worth living.
Even though this is book four in the series, it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone novel. It was so special to get to see Charlotte's faith journey, learning about God's love, grace, and forgiveness. And the love that grew between Cole and Charlotte was just perfectly wonderful! I highly recommend this book.
I read this book through Kindle Unlimited.

Swoon!
One of my biggest dreams in life from when I was little was to be a ballerina. Unfortunately, we couldn't ever afford the cost of the lessons, but I did take a beginning ballet class in college for a fitness credit and enjoyed it. Charlotte has paid the price to become one of the best ballerinas in the country, but never feels good enough. When her Julianna, her best (and only) friend, dies, something in her shifts and she begins to make changes. And oddly after reading her story, I'm very grateful for the path my life took.
Walsh does a fantastic job of creating small town Harbor Pointe and all of its inhabitants. Cole, Julianna's brother, is the perfect hero for this sweet and extremely touching story. Charlotte is innocent and naive, yet tremendously strong. And together? Read the story and find out how amazing (and swoony) things are.
I loved the connection I felt to these characters and the balance of all the different emotions, along with solid and flawed characters, convincing writing, and amazing contradictions made for one of the most impressive novels I've read this summer. I felt like a fish, as I was drawn into this story hook, line, and sinker and completely caught from the first page until the last.

Powerful - this expertly crafted story will take you back to Harbor Pointe, the Summer tourist trap on the shores of Lake Michigan where the tight-knit locals welcome the friendless and those in need of showing them what small town belonging is all about.
Opening with a devastating tragedy for a best friend and sister, Charlotte & Cole have no idea that the person they are grieving for is the same one that ties them together.
I loved the development of this story. An organic evolvement from strangers, to barely tolerable acquaintances to friends. At one moment the tears flowed from my eyes. I’ve read plenty of emotive books, but it’s been some time since one moved me like this did.
This story, and this series, is an absolute treasure and is not to be missed.

This is a book that will have you hugging that box of tissues from the beginning to the end. Courtney Walsh has that distinctive gift of drawing out the raw and scorched intense emotions and turning them into something hopeful and beautiful. That journey, though, is not an easy one - when the characters’ hearts and souls are shattered, yours will shatter too. But when that glimpse of sunlight breaks through, your tears of heartbreak will become tears of joy and delight. If you enjoy contemporary romance, this is an absolute must-read for your summer.
Charlotte is a world-class ballerina devastated by the death of her friend and questioning everything she’s held dear. Cole is her deceased friend’s older brother who’s battling the aftermath of a divorce and his beloved sister’s death as well as the challenge of putting together another winning season as the head coach for his high school football team. There are many flashbacks to allow us glimpses into Charlotte’s friendship with Julianna, Cole’s relationship with his sister Julianna, and Cole’s relationship with his ex-wife Gemma. There are plenty of fun moments, like Cole’s football team learning to dance and Charlotte bringing Cole flowers as well as so many tender moments, like when Cole hangs out with his niece and nephew and when Charlotte teaches Cole how to dance. And there are lots of ugly-cry moments, too - especially with Julianna’s widowed husband Connor and his children. Despite the heart-stopping grief, debilitating self-doubt, and all-consuming anger, they do learn that forgiveness, hope, and unconditional love triumph over darkness.

The Harbor Pointe series has been one of my favorite recent contemporary romance series. Just Like Home has unseated book one (Just Look Up) as my favorite of the four books. Charlotte and Cole just really wrapped their way around my heart. Charlotte is from such a cutthroat world, but also naive in many ways. I love that she is a ballerina; all of those details about the dance world are fascinating, and it's obvious how integral it has been in shaping her character and life. Cole is world weary and surly, but also sort of a softie. I love how she calls him out on his rudeness; their developing interactions brought a smile to my face and had me flipping through my Kindle so quickly. I appreciated that having baggage is not an excuse to treat people a certain way. Things happen to everyone, and often the response is what sets the tone for what comes after, not the actual thing itself. The characters work through this theme in a genuine way that rings true to life.
While the romance is tender, the novel deals with some heavier topics as well. Walsh eloquently handles death and grieving, as well as how to respond when life turns out in a way you either didn't envision or never would have picked for yourself. The secondary characters are so lovely, too. Lucy is such a sweet friend to Charlotte and a fascinating person in her own right. Steve and Hildy of the wonderful Hope House featured in the novel seem like real people, and I love Cole's high school football team. Their behavior is some I could envision happening in any group of teen boys and actually had me chuckling a couple of times.
While I had so much fun reading this series in order, I don't necessarily think this book can't be read as a standalone. Characters from previous books do make appearances, so to me, it was fun to see them again. Each of these books have resonated with me in some way. Sometimes the best thing I can say about a five star read is that I enjoyed every moment spent in the world of this story. I highly recommend Just Like Home to fans of sweet contemporary romances.

What is there not to like about this book? Walsh has given her readers a wonderfully poignant, precious and incredibly moving story. I loved every single minute. This one’s for the keeper shelf.

Sweet conclusion to the Harbor Pointe Series!
While I enjoyed the entire novel, I adored the beginning most of all. Just Like Home begins within a letter between two friends, Julianna and Charlotte. And then to reference once of my favorite movies, Pollyanna...happy sigh.
Charlotte is a renowned ballerina and she leaves it behind to start over in Harbor Pointe. I loved the glimpse into her life as a professional dancer. And I admired her diet. In my mind, Charlotte's HEA includes continuing that healthy diet. Definitely an inspiration in that space.
Cole, Julianna's brother and high school coach, is bitter following a nasty divorce. The way he and Charlotte meet was spectacular. Cole's negative outlook battles with his caring heart. I loved this line from the novel "Men shouldn't cry, especially not in front of each other, unless there was an athletic victory involved".
Entire series is recommended for fans of contemporary romance.

The book drew me in immediately from the prologue. Courtney Walsh has a way with words that has always amazed as it has captivated me. It always feels like she knows you when she writes and she just writes your heart. There is always a part of her book that i can relate to.
Charlotte! All her choices had been made for her. And her friend's death was a wake-up call for her to pick up what remained of her life and make wise choices. Earning her worth had exhausted her until she came to Harbor Pointe where the resisdents were family, loved and looked after each other. I admired how she tried, how she kept seeking until she founda place of belonging.
Cole! Cole was broken. And in someway he is like every human. Series of terrible experiences scared him making him an angry, rude and bitter shell of a person. Every experience left a painful mark and bitter lesson on him. Beneath the layers of grumpiness, anger and rudeness was a big, sweet softy. His transformation was nothing short of amazing. It was so sweet how he introduced Charlotte to her many "firsts". I loved how he cared for those around him.
Harbor Pointe is just a place to be. Sweet, loving and caring people. Breathtaking scenery.
Reading this book transported me to a happy place filled with love, hope, forgiveness and second chances. It was a perfect conclusion to the series. Each book is a standalone.

Just Like Home was so sweet for me. I really liked Charlotte and how she took a huge risk leaving her life of dancing and came to the funeral of her friend Jules. She stayed seated at the back and wouldn't even introduce herself to Jules's husband. But slowly she integrated herself into the community of Harbor Pointe and realized quickly she didn't want to leave. Then she meets grumpy Cole who isn't sure about her, but he soon realizes she has a heart of gold and Charlotte doesn't let his moods affect her. I loved the vulnerability that Charlotte shows and in turn, the residents show her what means to have a community and a place to call home.

Probably one of my favorite Courtney Walsh books! However, since they’re all amazing it’s hard to decide. I just really loved this one and the aspect of the grieving characters.

The light spiritual thread perfectly complements the storyline as the characters realize that love and forgiveness aren’t earned, but freely given by our heavenly Father.
Courtney Walsh creates another fabulous hero in Cole Turner, the handsome high school football coach who recently dealt with his sister’s death along with the end of his marriage. His pain and difficulty trusting again is both realistic and endearing to readers, who are rooting for him to find love again. Prima ballerina Charlotte Page, a close friend of Cole’s late sister, may be just the person to turn Cole’s life around.

Happy sigh! This one was hard to put down.

“I guess maybe I want someone to love the parts of me that no one’s cheering for.”
This quote really embodied the heart of this story and it hit me in a way that will always stay with me. I loved the message of unconditional love and never settling for anything less that was woven throughout these pages.
Charlotte had more things that she’d never done than things she had done and my heart broke for all the missed experiences and for the way her mother had controlled her life and withheld affection. It was a wonder that she hadn’t turned into a shrew with the upbringing she had but thanks to a friendship with Julianna, Charlotte got to see another side of things and given the right conditions was able to finally open her heart. It was sad that it took a death to give her the wake up call she needed but I loved watching her come into her own and to blossom in Harbor Pointe!
Cole was quite the grump at the start but as you learned his story you really couldn’t blame the guy! And his grumpiness was just a wall he put up, underneath he was a really caring person and he was willing to make any sacrifice for his people.
I loved watching Cole and Charlotte find each other and fall in love. Things got off to a rocky start but you could see how perfectly they fit together and it was so much fun watching their love story unfold!
I really appreciated the way the author balanced the sad heaviness of the circumstances in such a way that you felt the emotion deeply but it didn’t have a depressing feeling to it as can sometimes be the case. Instead it enhanced the story and gave it a more poignant weight.
I also loved the way dance was incorporated and you could feel the emotion from the performances.
Overall this was book was a knock out of the park that I loved entirely!

Walsh has done it again. Another book that I had to read twice to even wrap my head around reviewing.
This series has been amazing and I loved revisiting Harbor Pointe. It was very interesting to see it from the view point of Charlotte - a first time visitor.
I related so much with Charlotte. She is a city girl. She is naive. She has been sheltered. But I definitely don't have the drive or discipline she does. Ballerinas especially ones as accomplished as her are so impressive. Her dedication to her career was impressive. But I loved that she ended up in Harbor Pointe.
Cole we got to meet briefly in the previous book, Just One Kiss, but this book absolutely stands on its own. It is a common phrase that "Cole has been through a lot" throughout this book and it is true. He isn't very likable and as the book description says is cranky. But he does have endearing qualities. And he coaches football so there's that too.
The prevailing theme of forgiveness in this book is amazing. I also loved that repeatedly characters learn that God's love is a gift that requires nothing in return.
I love how many times characters in this book learned how to be better friends and people in general.
The romance in this book was so good. I loved that it wasn't an easy happily ever after. It was actually quite realistic with trials along with some great kisses. You don't want to miss it!
If you love realistic stories set in small towns you'll love this book.

Thank you to Courtney Walsh for gifting me a copy of her newest novel, JUST LIKE HOME.
I have always loved ballet; honestly, one of my biggest regrets in life is that I didn’t take the opportunity to take ballet lessons. I may have been horrible at it, but I wish I had tried. So, when I saw the synopsis for this book and that it featured a Prima ballerina, I knew that I would love the story.
JUST LIKE HOME is my second book of Walsh’s that I have read, and it amazes me how she can create incredibly relatable storylines. I'm not surprised to find some connection with the characters in the book, and Walsh’s words always manage to touch on a thought that I have had but never voiced.
Not only are the characters relatable, but the storylines feel real and contain so much heart. Walsh takes these characters that are filled with sadness and regret and brings them back to life. JUST LIKE HOME had so much love and sincere characters that I could feel my heart swelling with every turn of the page. I should also mention that keeping tissues handy would be a great idea as you may need them a time or two.

This story was beautiful! I loved every bit of it and felt so deeply connected to the characters. This is my favorite Courtney Walsh novel to date. I think it is hard to write about death and grief without making things heavy or depressing and this story was balanced impeccably. Each of the characters struggle with loss in their own way, but it doesn’t seem hopeless. There is the perfect amount of lightness within the dialogue to keep things from staying too focused on the hard things, but not so much that it cheapens the grief that the characters are experiencing with humor. I absolutely loved Charlotte finding her self and getting so see her experience normal life things. I appreciated how genuine Cole was and how long he held on to his hurts. The author really made him work to overcome his trust issues and it made his walls coming down mean so much more. I could just feel what these characters were feeling. So well done.

I usually love anything Courtney Walsh but struggled with this one. Getting to the end and reading the author's note though, it made a little more sense. She's had a rough year this year and struggled with writing. I sincerely hope she finds her feet again and keeps writing because I look forward to more of what I've loved in the past!

Oh mylanta, this book was so good!!! My favorite of the series (something I've probably said about every book leading up to this one, LOL). Walsh shows ongoing depth and maturity as a writer with this release.
So glad I started reading it while on vacation, because once I began, I had to find out what happened! No putting this one down!

I have loved this entire series set in Harbor Pointe. Each one keeps getting better and better! Charlotte Page seems to have it all as the primary ballerina in Chicago. But she doesn't have a clue what it's like to live, really live a normal life, nor be loved unconditionally. But she discovers that in Harbor Pointe. Cole Turner has had many challenges in life that have broken him and made him bitter. Courtney Walsh takes these two characters and brings them together in their brokenness. She weaves forgiveness, kindness, and unconditional love into the storyline. They discover/rediscover a God who has not abandoned them or who makes them earn His love and approval. This book made me cry and made me laugh. Just Like Home is a must read!

Sometimes you need a book that you can lose yourself in and that brings you comfort and joy. Courtney Walsh’s books always do this for me. Just Like Home was exactly what I needed to read when I was craving a book that would uplift me and give me a much needed break from reality. Courtney always writes her characters so well...flawed but looking to evolve and grow. So grateful for her storytelling ability!

From the turn of the first page, readers will absolutely adore and fall in love with Courtney Walsh’s small town ballerina and football coach romance. This story is about grieving, overcoming mistakes, and forgiveness. It’s about best friends and family. And of course sweet romance. Walsh has a way of combining all the raw emotions into her stories: bitterness, heartache, envy, forgiveness, hope and love. This is a powerful and inspiring story that readers will fall in love with. It show that even through the hard times, there can be hope and the silver lining of true love. An emotional rollercoaster ride of a story, readers will not want to miss out on this fourth book in the Harbor Pointe series!

What a sweet conclusion to the Harbor Pointe series. Though I’ve loved all of them, this one is by far my favorite of the series. While I wish there were parts of the story that had been developed a little bit more, sometimes you just need a good easy book to read and this was exactly that for me. I really loved that Charlotte was a dancer; I danced ballet for years so it was fun to be able to connect with her in that way. Charlotte and Cole gave me some Pride and Prejudice vibes so that was fun, too.
Ms. Walsh has snuck her way onto my favorite authors list with this series, and I very much look forward to reading more from her!

I have read every book this author has available at this time, and I have enjoyed each one. This one, however, is my favorite. I feel that it is her best work so far. I loved both of the main characters, broken as they were; before love healed them, separately and completely. Great story, Courtney!!

I’ve finished this book, and hardly know where to get started on a review--it's a real tear jerker! Courtney Walsh sure knows how to write them!
Her books are all amazing. She never ceases to astound, challenge, and entertain.
This book gives you another visit to Harbor Pointe, a sweet little town that is like home and a place we all want to visit, if not live.
I especially loved the main character in this book. Charlotte was so relatable, very real, and easy to empathize with. She's put her focus her entire life into being the best ballerina ever. Then when her friend Julianna dies, everything shifts. Life loses meaning, things that were important just don't seem as important anymore. Charlotte leaves her prestigious position as principal ballerina and goes to Harbor Pointe to try and discover what Julianna had. She finds a lovely town, and makes friends (a real first for her).
She meets Cole, Jules' brother, and slowly gets to know him.
I really appreciated seeing the way Charlotte grows as a person, how she deals with some of her inner issues, including forgiveness, and realizing her value as a person.
Here's a few sentences that really hit me:
She was still, even now, trying to earn her place, as if she didn't have the same right to be here unless she had something to offer.
She'd tried so hard to be seen, to prove she had value.
Maybe it's just me, but it feels like this is a place we can all find ourselves. Desperately trying to earn what God has freely given us. I loved how Courtney Walsh tied in so beautifully some deep spiritual truths.
This book is a beautiful love story. But it's also much deeper. It reminded me that God has already loved and forgiven me and counted me worthy. Nothing I can do or say will ever change that.

These were the author, Courtney Walsh's, hopes for her book. I’d say mission accomplished! Who’s isn’t ready for a big old dose of sunshine right now? This little ray of light was such a delight to read and yes, a perfect escape. If you like a sweet, charming, faith filled romance this one has all the makings of your favorite hallmark movie.
The story starts with Charlotte, an isolated prima ballerina who’s best friend is killed in a car accident. The starlet heads to the small town where her friend lived to attend the funeral. Once she’s there, she decides to honor her bestie by taking over the dance recital they had been planning before she passed away. Along the way, she ends up falling hard for Cole, the local football coach, a rough around the edges guy who likes to keep his distance. Naturally, the two can’t help but bump into each other and when they do, the sparks fly!

I loved the message this book portrays of the importance of being loved just for being you. Charlotte has a cruel, driven Mom who’s told Charlotte since she was a girl that her identity is tied to her performance and she has no value beyond ballet. Meanwhile, Cole has been burned by so many people he has loved that he feels unloveable. I think it’s a message we can all relate to. So often we all strive to be something we aren't, to earn love and respect from others. But that’s not what love really is. To be loved is to be known and accepted for her we are, when we strip away the titles and the affirmations.
It was easy to connect with these characters and their journey through loss, disappointment, regret and finally renewal. This was actually the fourth book in a series that all takes place in Harbor Point, but the book reads as a stand alone and you don’t need to have any prior knowledge of the town or it’s characters. You will, however, want to immediately run out and get the other books!

Every time I read one of New York Times Bestselling author Courtney Walsh’s novels it becomes my new favorite that she has written. Her new novel Just like Home continued in this tradition. This is the fourth book in the Harbor Pointe series, readers will enjoy the subtle appearances of some of their favorite characters from the sweet town of Harbor Pointe. Even though this book is in a series, my opinion it could be read as a standalone novel and the reader would not be “out of the loop” from the past books. It alone, as its previous books makes you want to go to Harbor Pointe on your next vacation. After being introduced to Cole Turner in book #3 Just one Kiss I had hoped that Walsh would revisit this character and tell his story. I was elated when I heard that Just like Home was Cole’s story.
Courtney Walsh once again creates a realistic quintessential hero, Cold Turner is the local high school football coach dealing with the recent death of his sister and the end of his marriage. Walsh weaves his pain and hesitancy to trust again in such a way that the reader is rooting for him to trust and find love again. Enter, Charlotte Page a P
