This outstanding, delightfully illustrated and well-written book will delight both children and adult readers. It shows how important appreciative and nonjudgmental friends are in difficult times. But also - and this is a fact - that it takes time to come to terms with a changed, drastic situation. So it takes both: the support of friends and time to finally find new joy and hope. The author seems to know exactly what she is writing about and presents this in a wonderful, child-oriented and yet profound way in this book. Whereby the illustrations underline this again impressively. A clear recommendation!
When Tree loses his favorite branch in a thunderstorm, he wonders how he will go on. But with the support of his siblings and his friends, he learns that time, support, and emotional resilience can help heal. They validate him that it’s ok to be sad and give him the time to feel his emotions. They stay by him and care for him also. Such a cute story of friendship, hope, and resilience through a challenging situation. Another beautiful book by Nadja!
Such a beautiful story about hope in more ways than one. The friends that surround us to give us the boost we need in hard times and the love that grows unexpectedly when we find what was once lost is now found to bring us joy. Masterfully written and beautifully illustrated. We are in awe of this tree of hope and all that illuminates us in nature.
This book is so beautiful! The illustrations are exceptional and the story will touch your heart and soul. Another fabulous book by Springer and Rand-Bell. Both of their books are to be treasured.
The Springer - Rand-Bell duo did it again and this story is just as perfect as the first one!
The second story in the series is wonderful, comforting and heartwarming. Reading how tree finds hope in a situation where he is really sad, gives hope to all the readers as well.
