A werewolf, a gargoyle, a phoenix, and a demon walk into the bar… Yeah, it sounds like a set-up to a bad joke. But this is my life, and it just got weird. Jade : As a hopeless romance author, I go out to a local bar, looking for something to cure my writer’s block. When I discover four of the hottest guys I’ve ever seen in real life, this forty-year-old homebody finds all the inspiration I need. For my books, of course. But when I dare to take a couple of sneaky pictures with my phone, they catch me ogling. Now, I believe they are following me. Maybe they’re worried that I overheard something I shouldn’t have. From how shifty they were acting, they might be involved in shady dealings. Arran : The little witch was spying on us. I need to find out who she’s working for. Is it for the Witch Council? If so, then I don’t need to worry… much. But if it’s for our sworn enemy, then I’m not above a bit of torture so I can find out what she knows about our friend’s death. Either way, her mesmerizing hazel eyes or those lush curves won’t save her now. The four of us have been burned by a woman before. Never again. Bewitching Her Monsters series is a medium burn reverse harem paranormal romance series about one witch and her five love interests. “Uh, I’ve written about all this fancy peen, but to have the chance to try it out, with a real, live supernatural being? Sign me up.”
I would give this book more than five stars if I could! This is a neglect-the-family-and-all-adulting-duties-worthy read! A perfect combination of hilarity and spice. It isn’t a safe book to read next to a sleeping partner – I cackled several times quite loudly, startling the dogs. Between the hilarious and smutty bits, I have highlighted a good ¼ of this book.
I loved the FMC, Jade. Reading her internal thoughts, I felt like I was transported into the mind of my favorite paranormal romance author and was getting insider information about the writing process. Like I was getting a peek behind the curtain. I especially loved that she wasn’t some 20yo ingenue but a real woman with experience in life, goals, and a career. Relatable FMCs with realistic body types and life experiences (ignoring the paranormal aspects, of course) are hard to find.
Naughty thoughts are abundant throughout, but it’s a medium burn to get to the main event. Then it’s no holds barred to the end. As in any great monster-lover romance, we are gifted with fancy peens, appendages, and magic bedroom talents. There are MM, MF, and MFM pairings.
I was so engrossed in the story that I hadn’t realized how close I was to the end of the book, so I was quite shocked when I ran out of pages. I already messaged Yve about that cliffhanger… I love her, and I hate her for leaving us like that. I need the next book right away!
I highly recommend this book!

Why did I wait this long to start this series, I have no idea. This is a first time read for me by Yve Vale but I have to say that I am rather impressed with the crafty storyline, witty dialogues, hilarious inner monologues and definitely more than intriguing characters.
I do like an older FMC and in this case she is no ordinary woman. As a paranormal writer, Jade finds herself in a desperate need for some inspiration, so luck seems to be on her side as she encounters four dashing male specimens. From that point onwards, the main heroine is thrown into the unknown world or paranormal creatures, hidden secrets and of course, some fairly astonishing self- realisations.
I am loving this so far, the bickering between Jade and Maxum is hilarious, Arran is attentive and devoted despite his hesitancy and Osen is a bit of a mystery. Now, not much has been revealed about Calder and Flint, but I reckon that they will be gems. With the suspense surrounding the Witch Council, mysterious murders of supernaturals taking lace and Jade's life in chaos, I cannot wait to jump to the next book. Sincerely recommending this one as it was a blast.
I havent read a book that made me laugh and swoon more! 😍
I absolutely loved this book! I didn’t know how much I needed a dark romcom in my life until I read this book. My favorite quote
“Be tough. Be strong. And be an asshole. No. Sometimes we just need to grieve. Say how we feel. Sometimes, we need to call out how fucked life can be. If we don’t acknowledge what’s wrong, what makes us depressed, then we rarely make the changes we need to get out of it.”
I really liked the older FMC and that she is a pnr author that stares at random people in a bar to memorize them for her books. The MMCs also seemed promising enough, they were all different and clearly distinguishable which can sometimes be a little difficult in bigger harems. The book starts off well enough, some interaction between the characters, a little banter here and there, some establishment of the stakes but then it goes a tiny bit crazy.
The romance is not exactly instalust or instalove, Arran and Maxum at least try to dislike her at first and have a chat with her. But in my opinion it is fast burn , and there is a lot of unreasonable interest and finding the FMC charming and cute right away. My biggest problem with the book and why I'll probably not continue this series is the weird pacing. In short, nothing happened for a long time, just some establishing of the characters and setting, and then bam - dramatic action and lots of unreasonable attachment. I was hoping for a little more communication and relationship building between the dramatic scenes or a little more explanation of the world that the FMC got dropped into .
Okay I’m obsessed with this book, just like the men are with Jade. (Most of them at least) I need the next book like yesterday. I need me a Maxum and Arran stat. It’s not often that I like the men as much as the fmc, but with this book I was obsessed with both. I adore Jade, she’s a sweetie pie and a mess all thrown into one sexy but doesn’t quite realize she’s sexy, piece of witch. She doesn’t realize she’s a witch either which i thought was such an interesting aspect to the story. Everyone else knows and boy, does it make for one helluva good enemy to lover type read, because all the men HATE witches. And she’s is no exception except maybe she is…? (Idk guess you gotta read to find out) Speaking of the men, I love them, I want them for myself though I do hope that Osen and Calder get their act together.
I will say I thought Osen was team witch, but the next thing you know he’s taking another step back, and I guess that’s the beauty of enemy to lover. You get the one step forward and the one step back, but gosh you just know it’s going to be worth it in the end. Omg I can’t wait for the moment when he realizes she’s not as terrible as he’s made witches out to be. I loved every moment of this novel though and I can’t wait to read the next one. There’s no ow drama and except for a weird bit of jealousy from Osen, at the end the the mm didn’t really trigger my jealousy on behalf of the fmc instincts. The men that have fallen for the fmc are obsessed and seem to love her as much if not more than each other. I highly recommend this read, I can already tell this is going to be a favorite series of mine.
WARNING! Cliffhanger! This is a 5/5 on my trauma scale because it definitely leaves us hanging AND there is a plot twist! Better get book two lined up ASAP.
Jade is a paranormal romance writer, who has been suffering from a lack of inspiration. So when she spies four hotties in her local bar, she takes notes- not realizing that they are supernatural creatures, and that they’ve spotted her! Four beings who are desperately trying to save the world from those aiming to control it, and she just ended up on their suspect list…
This is an instalust romance, in which our witch doesn’t actually know she’s a real witch, or that the paranormal world is real. It’s a spicy tale, with intimate encounters, an older heroine (40+), and a rather intriguing background plot (though let’s be fair, this is primarily about the steam!). It’s an enjoyable story, especially if you’re a fan of the RH monster-heroes trope, and a fun one with a few twists and turns. It’s fairly quick to get through, and an easy read for when you just want something escapist. Recommended for the PWF/PNR lover who doesn’t want her heroine to have to choose between the heroes.
I can already tell I am in love with this series already. It has some humor and definitely keeps you glued to it. Jade is an amazing FMC. She is in her 40’s and I absolutely love that because we get someone who has experienced life just a bit more. I love how real she is in her thoughts and personality. She is definitely one of my favorites. The guys are so different but yet they definitely add that extra element to the story. It is extremely well written and developed. It has me on the edge of my seat with anticipation as I had to find out what happens. It has some action, drama, and definitely has mystery involved. It gives off those who done it vibes. It ends in a major cliffhanger and oh my goodness I can’t wait for the next book. I absolutely would love to have it now.
To start this off, I wholeheartedly would recommend this book if you want to be enthralled in a paranormal world of the supernatural.
Overall: 4/5 Smut: 2.4/5 (The reasoning for this is because there wasn't many scenes and wasn't overall unique, although they were good. I'd believe the case of the absence of scenes was because the characters had to develop which I loved and personally very much loved the plot between them.)
This book follows the adventure of Jade, an erotic reverse harem author in her 40s. I would like to say she was a very unique character and I definitely haven't read anything like her, so it was very refreshing to read.
This allows us to be enchanted by her journey on becoming a witch with 4 guys, that at first believed she was her enemy along with an unweclomed possessor, who becomes quite welcomed near the end... I won't expose anything because honestly this book was an amazing read and should definitely be given a chance.
Although, at points in this book it felt like it was jumping from an event to the next, to an idea to another, I will not lie. In addition, I do feel like the world could have been built on more to fully emerge readers.
To conclude, I did immensely enjoy this book and would recommend it.

A phenomenal first book I absolutely fell in love with jade and the mysterious men she stumbles upon in the bar. Jade is a paranormal romance author who writes smutty monster books. She notices these strange men in the bar one night and the next thing she knows theyre continously showing up in her life. She believes that her "dreams" aren't real, but when she's attacked she realizes that not only is magic real, but she's also a witch and the men she's starting to fall for are actual monsters. I loved the banter in this book especially jades sassiness with Arran and Maxum. The spice was hot and perfect with some special peens and different monsters. The cliffhanger is brutal, but so worth the wait.
Fun and refreshing monster romance. Lots of mystery surrounding Jade and the grumpy monsters she is falling for. She doesn't know about and they don't know if she is a witch. There is lots of sneaking around trying to figure out who is good or bad and why. The book ends in a cliffhanger and I want more.
Full of funny moments and insightful banter. Jade has a strong, witty, sassy personality that you can tell has been smothered. I love the little moments when her strength shines.
The author embraces a sex can heal injuries story line. So there is some jumping into a sexual relationship before trust is established. It's fun and it works with the extremes of the plot.
I already know I am going to love this new trilogy from Yve Vale! Bewitching Her Monsters starts off with a really interesting plot line that just sucks you in! The FMC, Jade, is so relatable and knows how to stand up for her truth! The men around her are hot as hell and I wouldn’t mind trading places with her! 🤣
The spice is there (and is so freaking spicy!) but I love how it doesn’t take away from the story!
I cannot wait to see how book 2 & 3 go! The cliffhanger had me saying what!? I need to know what happens!
Yummy RH read! Yve did it again - great start to what will likely be another hit series… FMC Jade is witty and sassy! She stumbles upon a group of “monsters” who by all account should be her enemy but eventually they all seem to be hooked on her. The first half of the book had me dying of second hand embarrassment for one of the guys… tons of good zingers and quips… quick, fun book - can’t wait for the continuation!
I liked the older FMC, a lovely change of pace! She was still fraught with insecurities though, a quality I normally don’t love but that’s strictly subjective so I won’t put much stock into it here. The story was well written, the plot was well done. I couldn’t predict where it was going which I love. I also really liked the humour and banter going on. Looking forward to the next one!
it was a silly read. i liked that the mc was an author i think it couldve been sillier honestly. one of the monster dudes was an incubus ghost who was in some kinda shadowreal ig cos he kept referring to his cock as his shadowcock. really didn't like that.

THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING I'VE EVER DREAMED OF AND SO MUCH MORE! Monster parts including tails and horns and claws?!? An older FMC who loves spicy romances and has a filthy mind?? An incredible plot that already has me hooked and ready to beg for more? YES YES AND ABSOLUTELY YES! Just read it. It's worth that mind consuming cliffie at the end.
A thoroughly enjoyable romp! Misunderstandings, new worlds, a brewing war and enough steam to set it all on fire. Fast paced and funny, it ends on a cliffhanger that will immediately make you pick up book 2.
Bewitching Her Monsters is the first book in Yve Vale's latest series of the same name. This book was utterly phenomenal and humorous, and nothing is what I expected. Of course I loved it.
Is Yve trying to tell her readers something? I don't know what but I'm liking it. Gods, the smut ran rapid in (mfc) Jade's thought train, it was very interesting and hot. I love the way Jade's brain works, she just drifts off into Smuttville without any warning. If Yve ever wants to publish some of Jade's writing I would happily read it. I love Jade and her quirkiness. She's living that chaotic mess author's life and I love her the more for it. Jade is beyond super sweet, she gives off an innocent (in a lot of ways) vibe plus she is a curvy girl, who is a homebody but with lots of sass and she writes smut, Jade is practically my spirit animal.
These monstrous men were hot but things started off not so good because these guys were grumpy and suspicious. I understood why they were standoffish due to past experiences and the loss of a loved one. They all needed healing and somehow Jade came in and got under their skin by being her whacky self. Arran fell first and he fell hard. He was so adorable when he got over his reservations with Jade. Although I have to say my favorite scene with him was when was Arran pretending to be a lost dog, it was the best. 🤣 Maxum isn't too far behind he couldn't help but fall for someone who is up to his challenge. Half the group isn't bad because Calder just refuses to see reason while Flint seems more A-sexual but I have a feeling he just needs a little time. I can't wait for the entire group to come together.
I need to first address that one of my pet peeves with pnr is that the mfc says she's a monster (love)er but when supernaturals pop up she freaks the F out. Yve did me right when Jade finds out her excitement is palpable, Jade is all in and I love it. As a matter of fact, Jade rolls with things pretty easily, learning about the supernatural, and the war brewing between witches/warlocks and the rest of the supernatural community not to mention the Anti-Supernaturals Organization (ASO) and Witch Council are also involved. There have been missing persons, brutal attacks, and even murders. But then again this book had a lot more going on such as magical creatures, possession, hexes, a stalker, lucid dreams, and sex magic. Seriously, this story had everything and I am here for it.
What a read! I'm totally in love with Bewitching Her Monsters, Yve knocked it out of the park. One of my top books this year. I love quirky Jade and her grumpy monsters. Things are just heating up when Yve left readers with a shocking cliffhanger. Gods, I don't want to wait even a second for the next book but I will be patient because I know it's gonna be worth the wait.
This female character is perfect for the new men in her life. They had originally thought she was a spy, one stalked her home in wolf form that she mistook for a big lost dog. Reading Aarans point of view during chapters was hilarious. He took everything she said and thought it was magic. Jade was just being a cutesy owner in love with helping animals down on their luck. Maxim slowly fell for her which was huge because the first 60% of the book was being a complete d-bag to her. Calder was cutting with his snipes and remarks, he suspects her of the spying for the majority of the book. He actually hopes she screws up so he can feel justified for acting like a jerk. Poor Flint, he has very low self confidence. Unfortunately, he barely has any point of views that we get to read but when they show up, they make quite a statement. I feel for him and we didn’t even get to learn his story. Just that he didn’t have sexual relations, nor does he accept or initiate physical touch. He freezes up when he tries to catch Jade after she stumbles with weak knees. After learning what was wrong she apologizes constantly while also telling him her worries. Making him feel safer than being stuck in some horrid memories. Poor Osen. He was also a jerk to her but he softened dramatically. He convinced her to break out of the guys house, steal their SUV to go to his death spot, so he can remember what he knew before dying. He catches glimpse of who sucked out his magic and of course freaks out because it looks just like Jade. Jade realizes who it is, which is a scary thought because she was supposed to have been dead. God, I hope it’s who she says it is, because it would kill her spirit if the guys who have all softened to her, turned on her. She’s truly been an innocent the whole time, and was used by her creepy ex bf for a multitude of nasty things. Verbal abuse, physical abuse, you name it. There was some ginormous schlong scenes, hints of knots and other fancy ribbed for her pleasure. I Loved it! It was written so naturally, all the conclusions to their questions flowed so perfectly that it was picturing myself as Jade. Gosh, I wish I was Jade in real life. Hot Dammmn! She’s one lucky Witch! I’m praying she can bring Osen back to life, the brother they all lost. That would be the perfect ending, with all 5 guys in the picture. Being Jades muse for all her dirty paranormal romance books she writes. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Bewitching Her Monsters Bewitching Monsters book 1 Yve Vale Stars:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Burn level:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Time to read: 4 hours Cliffhanger My review may contain spoilers Read Trigger Warnings
Tropes: RH PNR Enemies to lovers
Werewolf, gargoyle, phoenix, demon and incubus…. Oh My!!!! Yve Vale is not a new author for me however I want to say as a started reading I was immediately intrigued and thought how imaginative and unique the story line was!! This book was SUUUUPPPERR steamy!! 🥵🥵🥵 The smut started from the very first page!
Told in multiple POVs, the story stars off with forty year old PNR author, Jade, trying to write a steamy scene for her upcoming book. She seems to be having trouble since her breakup with her latest no good boyfriend, Rob. Wanting a night to relax she ends up at a bar to eat and have a few drinks where she spots four overly hot guys and her mind immediately starts coming up with scenes for her book. She imagines them as a shifter, dragon, gargoyle and demon. Little does she know, but she is almost completely correct.
Spotting Jade watching them the guys realize what she truely is (a witch) and Arran (shifter) follows her home in his wolf form to spy on her thinking she may be spying on them or have something to do with their friend/lovers murder since they are at war with the witches.
The story progresses pretty fast and is filled with smut, great plot, great character chemistry, mystery and a little humor. There are light MM scenes. I absolutely cannot wait for book two and three to be released! I have running theories on the rest of the guys and coven and I want to know if I am correct on my assumptions. I found it refreshing the FMC was a little older. So often the f lead is pretty young.

So we are back in another wonderful created world by the amazing Yve Vale. This time we meet a 40 year old smutty, paranormal romance author (she’s absolutely hilarious! 😂). I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I won’t go in to much detail about the plot line, but I will say this book is based in the human world rather then fae realm so we get a completely different take on the story then we have with previous Yve books. What I like most about this book is the characters - we have alot more diverse characters in this series (there’s 5 males in total and all completely different and have very different personalities) I also like that the main character is 40+ years rather then a young 20 year old - I feel she has more life experience. I can’t wait to read the next book as that cliffhanger was soul shattering 😂 I also can’t wait to get to know more of the male characters. There’s alittle less spice in this book but that’s to be expected for a medium burn book and being first in the series it focuses more on plot/story. I highly recommend reading this book but also recommend reading Yve’ shadowcraft academy series as a character briefly crosses over in to that series. (reading shadowcraft academy isn’t essential but it does explain the fae world nicely and is now a completed series) 5/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🌶️
3.7⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️& 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️. Now I didn’t dislike this book. It was just different. I liked how the plot almost had fantasy inception with the main character being a PNR author. She had no idea her stories were more really than she could imagine.
The ghost possession/shadow dream walking was interesting. There were moments where I felt the writing could have been improved. I felt it was a little start and stop and didn’t have good flow which as a reader made it a chore to finish. I liked the idea and how this little harem could develop and I probably will continue the series and see what happens.

Inconsistent character building. Super cringe writing. Though seems to have pretty good formatting and minimal errors in grammar/spelling. If you don't mind absolute cringe and ridiculousness then this may be for you. Minor spoilers below. Literally 9 pages in and the author has used every possible cringy word to reference sexual context. At first i hoped this was just the authors way of creating her character since the beginning part is clearly the fmc writing her book within the story.. and it was partly that, but the cringe very much continues.. Hated how much emphasis was put on the fmcs age (40) The author seemed to have trouble separating her charcters traits and thought processes. Especially in the beginning, for instance one of the mmcs internal thoughts after meeting the fmc was way too feminine of a thought track and was exactly like how the fmc was written, and not at all like his character was actually written. - fmc talking: "'...even though you look like you might break me in two.”' mmcs thoughts: "I could split her in two… with my cock. Nope, stop it. Bad dick." No man is thinking this way. It was hard to ignore. Fmc spends way too much time fantasizing after the simplest triggers in the most casual setting and after having just met a random man AND after having experienced serious relationship trauma. Fmc has a psychic ability and inadvertently uses it for her stories. After something is explained to the readers about the world or other characters, the author mimics the exact thing coming through the fmcs thoughts as if shes coming up with this information for her novel. We get it she's psychic and doesn't know it, we dont need the information doubled every time. The first time one of the men has a sexual interaction with fmc, he describes her aroused scent as blackberries and lilacs.. I just about died of laughing at the absurdity. (later on, one of the men's cum is described as tasting like rock candy..🙄) There is a time where the fmc is near death, and the only way to save her life is if two of the men fuck her together, because one of them has some random ass sex magic that is completely unrelated to the creature he is and is also never explained, and the other has a possessive beast inside him that won't let them fuck without him being involved (for the first time as well)🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I absolutely loved this book. The FMC's commentary was hilarious and a welcome addition to this why choose romance. I found the FMC, Jade, was very likeable, from a reader perspective. She was sassy, strong, self-aware, and confident. While reading her chapters, between her actions and internal thoughts, I felt as if Jade could be a real person. She came across as an authentic person, who has faced some trauma and is just working to get through life as best as she can. As for her sexy monsters, I love Arran and Flint the most; they are so sweet and clearly have trauma they also need to face and work through. I found myself not particularly caring for Maxum at first because of his early interactions with Jade, but I started to warm up to him as their relationship evolved. I'm not a fan of Calder at this moment due to his hatred of Jade, purely due to her existence. Hoping that relationship will start to thaw in the second book. Lastly is the incubus ghost haunting Jade's mind, Osen. I think there could be a relationship as he starts to warm to her, but I question his motives and the impact on Jade at times. I'm looking forward to seeing how Jade shapes her relationships with each of her men in the next book.
Bewitching Her Monsters is the first in a trilogy and certainly worth the read for anyone who enjoys paranormal, monster, and/or why-choose romance. It has a great plot, which doesn't remind me of any other books I've read thus far. It has me trying to guess what is going to happen next and what happened to Osen that fateful night. This book checked all the boxes for my mood this week and I just couldn't put it down, sleep be damned! This one ends on a cliffhanger, so I'm running to grab the second book!

This was an amazing read! When you first start reading the book, you have to double check the chapter header. Then you laugh out loud when you realize just where it headed. Jade isn't like your typical FMC in that she's older, which was a breath of fresh air for this reader. She's also curvy, and her imagination gets away from her sometimes. She's a paranormal author. We get an insider view of an indie authors' day from Jades POV. I loved that she was completely unaware that she was a witch, and the world that she wrote about was real. Some of the best parts of this book are the moments that happen while she is blissfully unaware of what is going on around her and she's writing about what really happened or what she perceived to happen with the men she saw in the bar. I loved it when she was coaxing Aaran into her house, and he thought she was crazy because he thought she knew his wolf was really him from the bar. Aaran, Maxum, Calder, and Flint were all at the bar when she needed inspiration. Little did she know that when she was taking notes for her book that she would stumble on real supernaturals. A wolf, demon, phoenix, and gargoyle, she guessed what they were, almost for her book based on their body language. Then we have Oren, who shows up in her dreams and just so happens to be a friend of the four who was unalived. Not only is there the spice that Jade writes in the book, but the spice that is MM, MFM, and MF. It is all very hot! There's a lot going on in this story with witch’s who are working against supernaturals and the ASO. The cliffhanger you don't really see coming and now I can't wait for the next book.
really enjoyed this book. I loved Yve Vale's previous series, Shadowcraft Academy and had been waiting for this release!
This is one of the few books I have read with an older FMC; as someone who is the same age I immediately connected with her. The mature view point was refreshing, for instance when Jade describes how lonely she feels. Jade is not an aggressive character who has pushed people away or become a victim of circumstances, but instead works in a job where she has minimal interactions with people face to face and largely communicates online rather than in person. Its just become her norm but she's not wallowing as she is doing a job she loves and accepts both the ups and the downs that come along with it.
The relationships in the book progress in a really organic way and I liked how there wasn't character introduction overload in this book. Instead it focused on particular individuals giving later books the chance to explore what looks to be some interesting back story for the other characters.
The humour though; I laughed until I cried at some parts of this book - Arran, I'm looking at you. There are so many quotable lines and its very witty. I will definitely do a re-read of this when I need cheering up!
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR!
It had me hooked from the first paragraph and then it only got better from there.
It's got loads of tropes I love like fated mates, shifter poses as pet, regular person learns the supernatural is real. It's got damn near every monster part you could want. Shadow tentacles, fancy peens, wings, horns, claws, tails. Everything your monster loving heart could want.
The plot is layers deep and I absolutely love a book with heat and plot. And the heat here is HIGH.
In this book she bonds with 2 of her montsters, and is well on her way to forging ties with the other 2. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.
I especially love that Jade isn't a model hot 20 something. She's middle aged, curvy and has the life experience to know a bad idea when she has one. She talks through issues with grace and understanding. She also refuses to be pushed around or condescended.
The boys have a fantastic dynamic and their snarky banter is funny and endearing all at once. Arran is super sweet and his insecurities make you want to smother him in hugs. Maxum's flirty filthy mouth makes my stomach flip and my knees jelly. Flint's a sweetheart with extreme touch aversion and I really want to see how his relationship with Jade develops. Calder is one I haven't fully formed an opinion on. He's a wanker, but it stems from a reasonable cause. He's slowly warming up and I'm interested to see what's going to happen.
Bonus points for pets and monsters who care for them <3
Absolutely fantabulous! I absolutely loved this story. First, the FMC is an author. While a fictitious story, Yve brings a real sense of reality to her character, Jade, and the life of an author in today's market and economy. Second, the FMC, Jade, is forty. Does that stop her potential enemies from falling for her? Nope, not at all. Like all too many of the over-forty crowd, we absolutely can't believe it when some young stud flirts with us. Her responses are downright insightful and sometimes hilarious. So is her naivete and cluelessness. This witch has absolutely no clue what is right in front of her eyes.
Then there are the four smoking hot men she spies on at the local dive bar. You know, doing research for her novel. Well, if you don't know, here is a clue, all authors do it. It comes naturally. Except this time, she may have garnered the wrong attention while doing what comes naturally. Luckily, Arran decides to take one for the team and investigate things with the little witch.
