Trust Your Intuition: A Guide to Living Your Authentic Life

Rate this book
There are people who enjoy learning by analyzing numbers and memorizing information from books. I was never that kind of learner. Although these skills can help create the basis of what we understand, it does not allow you to integrate what you have learned with what you know. To gain wisdom you need to join what you learned with your inner wisdom. I am suggesting that real wisdom comes when we couple what we have learned from books and the lectures with wisdom from our own intuition. I learn best when information is available to me and I can integrate it with my own life experience and it has meaning. This book is filled with stories and anecdotes from my life and also channeled messages that I receive. When I went on the journey to discover my intuition it was really about giving myself permission to reveal what was already there. This book is not intended for you to do anything but merely consider the gifts that you already have right now at this very moment. Magic real magic lies within the trust that you have who you are and believe in your own self worth. Because when we open up the door to understanding the abundance of that, we are opening up the door to our destiny and why we are here. I used to think that the answers were in other people's opinions how they evaluated me but, the truth is a judgment only stifles your imagination. And imagination is fed by our intuition. This book is like a permission slip for you to shift your perspective and consider yours.

I want to start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews. I want to share this book with everyone that I know and care about. Robin has simplistically incorporated the road map to achieving balance in mind, body, and spirit in a succinct and thoughtful way that anyone can understand and follow.

The book comes with easy-to-read and best practices to follow that we can all use even in our very busy lives and amidst the chaos of the world. This book will help you help yourself and help others.

TRUST YOUR INTUITION BY ROBIN POLLAK should be required reading for students in schools or colleges! At a time of life when one is faced with so much uncertainty, this book can be used as a guide for those inevitable difficult decisions.

Believe it or not, in my opinion, this book invites self-reflection. This book would make a great gift for ANYONE, not just those diagnosed with anxiety and depression. It truly is a "how-to" on trusting your intuition, beginning on page one, towards becoming happier, healthier, and wiser.

DNF because of poor grammar and editing (25% read). Paragraphs were mixed with first and second person pronouns. Items in series were not parallel. Some interesting ideas were presented that could be helpful to me personally, but I couldn't get past the grammatical errors.
I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

Robin Pollak has shared a wealth of wisdom in bite-sized pieces that are easy to read and so applicable to everyday life. It’s such an engaging book so I won’t recommend you to read it in one go. I advise all readers to read Trust Your Tuition again at a slower pace and journal with it.

Thanks and congratulations to the author for helping many of us (whoever read this book till now). This book is so timely during stressful times. The more people who read this book, the better our world would be.

“Trust Your Intuition” by Robin Pollak is a beautifully written guide to awakening the spiritual gifts we all have inside us, but often ignore. Once a person learns to listen to their internal voice, they begin to grow in physical, mental, and spiritual awareness. This is accomplished by trusting one’s inner knowledge, dismissing hang-ups of self-doubt and fear from past experiences in order to receive love. As Ms. Pollak so eloquently states, “love holds infinite possibilities”. These possibilities allow the reader to find their truth, discover their true value, and become an authentic version of themself.

The lessons taught within the pages of “Trust Your Intuition” are well organized and thought provoking. It is a journey of self-discovery to be cherished. The stories are designed to lead the reader over time as they grow. This is not a onetime read but a book that will call to you again and again. As Ms. Pollak suggests, take in what you can use now and leave the rest. I like the fact that a broad range of techniques are used to educate the reader, such as channeling, journaling and affirmations. This wealth of knowledge is lovingly explained by the combination of personal stories and moments of reflection.

Every once in a while, a book comes along that leaves its reader entranced, wanting more. “Trust Your Intuition” is that book for me. I could almost feel love pouring off the pages as I submerged myself into the timeless wisdom. I discovered so much about myself and what I was missing in my life. I can see now that I had become stuck and as I reflected upon what I learned, I was able to see areas that need change. Lessons are taught in an uplifting manner, never scolding the reader but giving a clear path to grow and evolve. I underlined, highlighted, and made notes throughout the book. I enjoyed the layout of the chapters, taking my time to decipher the channelings and pick apart the hidden messages that pertain to my life. It is a true blessing to be gifted permission to be still, cry, laugh, release fear, and heal. I know for a fact I will revisit this book numerous times as I continue to grow into my authentic self.

I should not have trusted my intuition that this was a book I wanted to read. Based on the blurb on Goodreads I believed it to be a promising book. But I was mistaken.
Pollard presents a few nuggets of wisdom but she does not incorporate them into the work in any practical way. They are presented but go nowhere. The book is very repetitive and poorly edited. Lastly, the title says to trust YOUR intuition but the book only speaks of the “I”.

Kudos to Robin for writing this book and sharing her wisdom. As I was reading this I kept thinking that the book could have been a lot better with an editor. In the Afterword thanks was given to one but it didn’t read that way to me. I expected the disjointedness in the Channels as that was meant to be free flowing thoughts, but I believe the other parts could have been more concise. Many of the same ideas were just reiterations of things already covered. There were some great ideas and things to ponder but not as much as would seem indicated for a 200+ page book.

Thank you to Goodreads as I won a copy of this book in a Giveaway.

I received this book as a part of a giveaway. While the author did have some very insightful messages, I wish that the book wasn’t as personally anecdotal, as it’s difficult for me, at least, to follow advice that a stranger is simply telling me from their own personal experience without a range of perspectives or evidence. Additionally, she explains many instances of failing to listen to her intuition, but doesn’t really offer much on how to go about fixing one’s mindset to trust their intuition once again.

This book was not for me, sorry. It did offer some insight about trusting your instincts. I was not the target audience. I gave it a try and it was repetitious and I couldn't get to the end. As my intuition told me stop and move on. So, I did thanks to trusting my Intuition. I don't know who would enjoy this but I am sure these people are out there. Again, sorry shoudn't have entered this Goodreads giveaway. Thought I would try and expand my horizons but I got bored.

I don't remember when I finished this. It must have been towards the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024. It was a good book, but nothing I haven't experienced in other ways before. It's a great starter for beginning to trust and have compassion for yourself. I was not the audience for this, though, and I found that a great shame. I was looking forward to reading this. (Thoughts based on my notes from when I read the book, undated).
