Having fled to Europe years ago, Lily Wolfe vowed to leave Atlanta and her reputed crime-family roots behind. But when her father suffered a stroke, she found herself back in the family fold, caring for him and a real estate empire built on deception. Her goal was to rebuild their relationship yet keep her distance from "the organization." Then Garrick Pratt showed up on her doorstep. One smoldering look from her mysterious, seductive neighbor and Lily forgot about guarding against her family legacy…and the consequences of her father's tangled web of corruption.
Little does she know, Garrick is an undercover FBI agent intent on bringing the entire Wolfe family to its knees—including Lily.

I enjoyed this read. I enjoyed the characters and the flow of the story. There were also a lot of surprises throughout the story. A very enjoyable read.
Great background story idea but not strongly executed which unfortunately boiled it down to the same old formula of boy meets girl + drama = fight/mini breakup which eventually ends in a rushed makeup scene and a marriage proposal. Seriously I should stop torturing myself and refrain from reading anymore of these books.
All negative aspects aside it wasn't a bad read; it was actually a decent story. But to be perfectly honest it had it's droning on moments, a few annoying typos and character mix ups. It's best utilized as a quick light read for the beach or on the plane. But nothing more.
This is only the second novel I've read by Mrs. Winters and it definitely was not my favorite. I found it to be a little dull. Considering all the mystery and suspense going on, I was expecting a bit more excitement. The chapters seemed to go on forever, I found myself skipping paragraphs, then skipping pages to get to something exciting. Unfortunately I didn't find the the characters all that exciting or memorable. Gave it a chance, but it just didn't work for me.
