I cannot say it enough how much I love this wolf series. This series is different from many of the werewolf books out there. The characters in this book are very dynamic and pretty much jump off the pages. Nikki Reese is strong-minded and tough. And then you have the sexy were Jonathan trying his best to keep Nikki alive. First Moon has a ton of action, adventure and romance to get you hooked on this incredible series!

Nikki is born to be a werewolf hunter and really just sees all werewolves as the enemy. Until that fateful night where things change. Jonathan's job is to watch out for rogue werewolves and take them out before they expose them all to the humans. When Nikki is attacked by one of those rogue wolves Jonathan is torn between helping Nikki or keeping his secret. Will they be able to overcome the loyalties or will the passion between overcome and bring these two together.
Nikki, I am thinking is going to be my, new favourite character. She is strong minded kick butt woman who knows what she has to do. Things seem to be going great she is keeping tabs on the wolves until the night where things go upside down. Now she doesn't know what to think or do. She is fighting for her life literally and she doesn't know who to trust the dashing werewolf there to help her or the hunters. Jonathan is well he is a werewolf who has been tracking Nikki watching her and well basically keeping her safe from the rogue wolves. He is well he is just sexy and sweet in his own way but like all heroes he is conflicted should he just watch Nikki and not get involved or get involved and let the chips fall where they may. Jonathan and Nikki are hot together and the sexual tension between them is palpable.
This is one of those books that maybe short but it sure packs a lot into that one story to have you reading it in one sitting. This series is set in Miami and the author uses the city as a backdrop for the well written characters. I truly enjoy aspects of the city that entwined into the characters also. I love this series so much the author as a way of making you part of the stories and her idea of werewolves are different and very inventive. So, if you want a story that is full of adventure. steam and sexy men check it out you will love this series. I promise you will like this series. A great read for your fall season.

When the moon is full, nurse Nikki Reese takes on a second job where she protects unsuspecting human from Others. Though there are various paranormal beings classified this way, her main objective is stopping werewolves from harming any mortal. On this particular night, all seems to be going her way until it does not and Nikki’s own life is at risk. Luck might be on her side, as Jonathan Baird is nearby, but it soon becomes apparent he is actually her enemy, too. What occurs next could alter not only their lives but also what happens to countless werewolves and humans.
With very imaginative scenarios and fascinating characters, Linda Thomas-Sundstrom constantly packs her short addition to the Wolf Moons series with mysterious unknowns and riveting situations. I always find the werewolves in the series to be extremely original, as the traits of these distinctive beings that live in Miami are surprisingly unique. All throughout the story, I discovered numerous facts that I did not see coming, and several of the revelations were totally shocking. Nikki is a woman on a mission, and nothing is going to keep her from achieving her goal. While Jonathan may be a werewolf, his behavior is not the norm, and his conduct kept me intrigued and wondering how he would respond during any event which crops up. The first compelling adventure in FIRST MOON captured my full attention, and I remained enthralled during each set of circumstances that followed.

What a great story packed into this short novella. Unique world-building, steamy chemistry, and irresistible characters, as the start of an amazing series. I've read a number of the books in the series and found the weres unlike those in many of the shifter books I read. You'll find more than alphas but no spoilers. It won't take long to form a picture of these characters—good and bad.
She's a hunter protecting humans from wild killer weres. She also has a secret even from the rest of the hunters she works with. He isn't what she thinks and he has a secret about her he is keeping. Can he convince her she has nothing to fear from him?
Plenty of action, steam, great characters, and a guarantee you'll want to read more in this amazing series.

A forbidden match, werewolf and werewolf hunter. Each one hunting made shifters who are filled with rage. Passion flares between them in the form of anger and lust. Impatiently waiting to see what happens next.
